I've been a loyal customer of this Aldi for the past 3 years, constantly bragging to my coworkers about their amazing little salads during our lunch breaks. However, my most recent visit has completely shattered my positive opinion of this establishment.
While shopping with my daughter, I had a horrific experience at checkout. I was momentarily distracted, listening to my child, when the cashier asked if there was a reason I wasn't putting my items on the conveyor belt. When I apologized and explained I had been "zoning," she snapped back about the line forming behind me. Mind you, the previous customer hadn't even finished their transaction, and I already had four items on the belt.
But it gets worse. After finishing with the customer ahead of me, this cashier had the audacity to walk away, grab a cart, and then loudly announce to a coworker, within earshot of the entire line, that she "had a camper." This blatant attempt to shame me in front of other customers for a non-existent delay was absolutely mortifying.
I rarely leave negative reviews, knowing how challenging it can be for businesses to accumulate positive feedback. However, this experience was so upsetting and unprofessional that I feel compelled to speak out. The utter lack of respect and customer service displayed by this cashier is unacceptable, especially from a store I once held in such high regard.
It pains me to say this, but I can no longer recommend this grocery store to anyone. What was once a beloved shopping destination has become a place I now dread visiting. Management needs to seriously address their staff's behavior and attitude towards customers before they lose more long-time patrons like myself. read more
