Officially the best Aldi around. The layout seems to be most efficient and it's really spacious -- lots of room between aisles and a really big grocery-packing station. I'm not sure if this Aldi is less crowded than most of just that much more spacious, but either way I prefer coming here where there's plenty of room to browse. Speaking of which, browsing is my favorite thing to do at this store, there are just so many really great deals. I always find fantastic cheeses, impressive produce, tons of gluten free snacks, and an ample array of proteins (including wild caught seafood) -- all for lower prices than I've found anywhere else without sacrificing on quality. You won't find as much variety in products or brands, but it's quality over quantity at Aldi. Outside of all the fridge, pantry, and cabinet essentials, Aldi has an ever-rotating holiday/seasonal section, which is my personal favorite spot on their map. They always have the cutest decor for sale, plus really nice cookware and kids toys and event plants. I got a stuffed Ms Rachel doll on my last visit! read more

Today at around 3:00 pm a lady in front of us was shopping. You could visibly see and hear the conversation. The person ringing her up was not being very nice and me and other people in line witnessed her push the cart so hard that it went all the way to where you put your groceries to pack them in bags. It was very unpleasant to witness and so unprofessional. People are really forgetting they are clocked in and give horrible customer service. read more

I have been going to this location since it opened way back when I was a student at UTA (Go Mavs). Recently the store has gone through renovations and honestly it was long overdue for one. With the layout, you can walk in the aisle with plenty of space. The produce section is at the end of the first aisle you walk down and the mil and eggs are right behind the produce. That way you dont forget what you went into the store for. I always love going to the seasonal items aisle because they have a wide variety of products without the overwhelming feeling you get when walking to a giant superstore. Now Aldi has its own 'store brand' and it is just as amazing as the leading competitors the only difference is that the Aldi brand cost much less and you end up saving so much at the register. They do have a variety of Hispanic products in the store and i am happy about this. I love how easy it is to see the price tags and I like that I dont have to reach super high on shelves to get the items I need. This store is just your average Aldi and nothing beyond or less than that. Now keep in mind they generally only have one cashier but when they see the line getting long they call in a second cashier. Dont forget to bring a quarter for your cart and bring your own bags. read more

After much anticipation, I wanted to give ALDI a try. Some things I personally would have to overcome to become a loyal ALDI customer: 1. shopping carts require a 25 cent deposit. Historically, the time I think about needing change for the parking meter as after I park. I'm sure the same will hold true for shopping cart deposits. Nuisance. 2. ALDI accepts cash or debit cards only. I rarely carry cash. And I'm really spoiled on using my credit card for airline miles. Uh... probably not gonna give up my grocery miles. 3. bags. you can bring your own or buy the bags for 9 cents each. Big woop. I've grown fond of the filmy plastic bags that fly freely outdoors, choking baby ducks and frustrating enviro hipsters. Paying for this same satisfaction dampens the pleasure. The store does not have any popular brands. Think recommitting to ketchup and things you have enjoyed for a lifetime. The store has their own brands... not a bad thing, mind you. Walmart has its' own Good Value brand and many are exceptional quality. But I still like Tide and Heinz and Sara Lee. There is no deli or bakery. The prices are much lower, maybe 30%. And some of the items looked delicious, worth comparing to the foods we currently enjoy. But the savings require many lifestyle changes I'm probably not going to subscribe to. When I have a big crowd of people over, or I need to cook a big pot-luck entree I'll probably shop no-name products for the value at ALDI. We remember Food Lion building new stores in the D/FW area with high hopes. And then fail. Winn Dixie, Piggly Wiggly, and others have failed. The competition is fierce here. ALDI is really hard to rate actually. They really do have spectacularly cheap prices on many items. The best bargains are for staples where you really don't care about the brand name. For example, spices, flours, canned vegetables etc. Olive oil for $2.99? I challenge you to find that anywhere else. Even the store brand olive oil at most grocery stores is twice that price for the same size bottle. The best way to take advantage of ALDI: 1) Bring reusable bags. And a quarter for the shopping cart 'rental' ( you will get it back ). 2) Come here for staples, not for specifics. 3) Be flexible - each time I go some items are much cheaper than they were the last time and some have gone up in price. Be ready to take advantage of the good deals while they are there, and cook accordingly. 4) Expect to have to go across the street to buy the brand name sodas etc. Overall though I have been happy with all the generics I've had here. There hasn't been anything I've tried yet where I've thought I'd have been better off with a name brand. I don't buy much produce here because I belong to an organic/local co-op, but I've been impressed with the overall "look" of the produce here as well as the prices. I think of ALDI kind of like a no-nonsense Trader Joes - it doesn't have the specialty items, but it has good prices on basic stuff. And a bunch of weird processed snack foods that I would never eat but I suppose most Americans enjoy :) I rate them 4* because you can't really get specialty items here, and because I wish they opened earlier in the morning - I like to shop around 8am, but they don't open til 9. I enjoy shopping at ALDI, and go there a couple times a month. One has to understand their position in the market if you choose to shop there. You will save money and time but it comes with simple tactics they employ to enable the savings vs your more common grocers. Smaller store size. (Obvious savings in real estate, facilities, utilities) Fewer products. (About 5000 here vs 150000-200000 at your standard grocer.) Less labor. (Way less. Usually one or two checkers.) This store was recently expanded and updated and its much improved with larger produce and meat sections. The staff is small but most have been there for a while and friendly. Bring a quarter for your cart, you get it back when you leave. No abandoned carts in the lot is a great benefit. I am a rare grocery shopper in that no single grocer has all I want or need (since we don't have an HEB! Please come to town!) so I go all over, using clubs, Winco, Aldi, WalMart, and Tom Thumb. And a produce market. Aldi uses 95% house brands. If you look at the package you will get a good idea who they have modeled. Huge savings on chips, crackers, cookies, nuts and quality is usually great. Produce selection is ok, and meat is ok. It is prepackaged and I generally only use their ground beef. (Almost all my meat comes from Sams or Costco and vac sealed and frozen. ) frozen foods are certainly far lesser selection. They have a solid selection of healthy organic and gluten free products at good prices. You just have to choose what you will and won't use. I use only Heinz ketchup so that's elsewhere, potato chips I use their products. I have only one complaint. Aldi should save time but often the check out line is long. The checkers move fast but they should add self checkout. I would then run in for a few things. read more

This grocery store offers an acceptable assortment of items at good prices. It requires shoppers to bring their own bags, which is fine with me. Associates are also very helpful and friendly when I ask them questions. However, the experience at the checkout counter is not always pleasant. Two days ago, I was there to buy a few items. I put my items on the conveyor belt and stood in line. The couple immediately in front of me bought a lot of things and somehow, their transaction was stuck. Behind me was a gentleman with his things in a cardboard box on the belt. Suddenly, the cashier left her station and came around to tell this gentleman behind me to go an adjacent counter which was about to be opened by another cashier. She began with "Sir, ....." Clearly, she treated me as if I was invisible. I immediately asked, "Shouldn't I be first?" I also took my items to go and to be the first one in that new line. That gentleman, of course, let me go ahead of him because I had this right, as I was in front of him to begin with. The way this cashier treated me was unfair. I could think of several possible reasons: (1) She had to work so fast that, that gentleman was the first person she saw and she just quickly and mindlessly asked him to go. (How come she did not see me who was in front of him?) (2) She saw me but because that gentleman had his things in a box, she thought it would be easier for him to move and thought I would not want to move (if she had the time to see the things on the belt and could think so fast). (3) She saw me but she was nicer to that gentleman, a Caucasian, and gave him the favor to go first. (This is 2020, not 1970, excuse me.) Regardless of the real reason behind, this practice, if done habitually, will eventually hurt their business. (A) The person immediately behind the one whose transaction is being stuck should be asked first. if this person says "No," then fairness has been achieved anyway. (B) Another way is: let the new cashier come to this slow line and ask the person immediately behind the one whose transaction is being stuck before opening the new line (better yet, this new cashier can also help carry the things to the new belt and I did experience this being done in another store, so nice). Either way is better than asking people in line in an arbitrary fashion (if it is indeed arbitrary). There should be a policy and training given to the cashiers to treat all customers fairly. Being fast is not the only thing that is important. read more

Yes, they advertise cheaper prices, but that's only because the items are generic and store brands. But I'm not that picky, so I don't really mind. I always go here for the fruits and vegetables because most of it is the cheapest I can find (and most are good brand produce). The service used to be AWESOME. There were two cashier women that I remember who were always super friendly and smiling. I still see them sometimes, but there are also a lot of new workers who sadly, aren't as nice as them. Other things to note: Only cash or debit cards. Remember to bring a quarter for a cart. You get it back after you put your cart away. Aldi isn't one-stop shopping, no - they don't have an enormous variety of products, and specialty products are limited. What they do have, though, is rock-bottom prices on some genuinely great products. There's almost no financial penalty to trying something at Aldi, so you just try stuff - new stuff, old favorites, and staple items. When I go to Aldi, it's generally for hummus or their hummus quartet (yum!) or milk and eggs and oranges or ice cream sandwiches or guacamole. Bananas. Cereal. That's a healthy amount of "hits," though we've had some "misses," too. Lines can be long, but I've never really had any issue with the service. Sure, I've had cashiers smile at me at Kroger's and Costco, but I've also been ignored at those same stores or I've waited while the cashiers chat or attend to their own business. I'm really surprised Aldi hasn't gotten better reviews. It being fairly new and very different I guess its to be expected. Here are my observations: Price Wars! My normal grocery visits are to Kroger about half a mile up the road. Aldi opened its doors several months back and thus incited the price wars. Aldi started offering a dozen eggs for like 80 something cents. Kroger responded by matching their price (smart move). Aldi counterattacked with offering a dozen for 68 cents- which was latest I saw. Not sure if Kroger has or will be able to beat that. Also aldi still wins on milk at less than 1.50 a gallon. Just remember to bring 25 cents for shopping cart deposit (you get it back) and bring your own bags or pay 6 cents per bag. In my opinion there are some inconveniences; like the shopping cart deposit, the shopping bags, and the only debit-cards or cash thing, but these things allow them to keep prices way down. I've seen other stores (like WinCo) do similar things and loved them for it. This store really caters to cheapskates like myself that could really care less about brand names. read more

Aldi's sometimes can be hit or miss depending on location. This is probably my favorite Aldi's it's always well stocked and very clean and organized. Some of the other locations not so much especially around the check out and bagging area. My most recent visit one of the employees's was sweeping, not cleaning up a spill but just general cleaning. It's not the closest one to me but it's my preferred Aldi's. read more

This is the store I go to when it is time to stock the pantry. They packaged products are a excellent value. Chocolate bars, some of their Clancy branded chips, Olives (stuffed with Feta Garlic, and Bleu Cheese) and Dog Biscuits are some of my staples. The Sour Dough bread is the best you'll find in packaged breads and half the price of much of the competition. I find some deli type items to be a great for party snacks. This is not the place to go for the customer service experience, it is the place to go to for fairly prices day to day pantry type items.This location is currently under construction, which primarily impacts parking. If you find that cumbersome, you can relax at Dr. Jeckyll's Beer Lab right across the street. read more

If you are a bargain hunter, this is your place. They generally only sell store brand items and at a price that most of the time is the best. There are some things I watch out for, mainly meat and cheese. Often times I can find better prices and quality elsewhere, (Costco or Sam's Club) But occasionally they will have a deal. I tried this store when it first opened and it gave me a huge headache just getting in/out of the parking lot. I really wish they had a bigger parking lot or had located somewhere away from a busy intersection. I was also not impressed with the way people are herded through the store like cattle. There are literally so many people there sometimes that I can't get to the next aisle without weaving in and out of a crowd of people more concerned about gawking at products than moving out of the way for the people behind them. I would suggest going here at non-peak times. As for the quality of the food, I found it only so-so. It wasn't any better or worse than any other store, but I was always a bit surprised that it didn't cost more when I got to the register. read more

There is an employee working at this particular Aldi's (cashier, older lady, short red hair) who has fussed at me and my son(s) EVERY time we've been in the store while she is working. She has made many comments to correct my boys' behavior and once even made a snarky remark because I didn't have a cart in her check out line because I was only buying 3 items (and I have arms)! I have since avoided her line yet even today while bagging my groceries so yelled across the store from her check out chair to us near the exit door to correct my son. I responded with the question, "Could we possibly ever visit this store without you fussing at us about something?" Her response was to argue with me...loudly...as she was still in her check out chair and I across the store at the exit doors...all while the entire front of the store listened. I spoke with the manager and informed him that I don't appreciate her rudeness. There are other Aldi's to shop at if this lady cannot be friendly to us. read more

Yea, the food is good and it is cheap. But so is the customer service. I guess if you are young and in college like me then you get treated like crap here. The assistant manager was rude to us when we asked her if she had an item in the back. She had to keep on telling me that my kid sister asked for something different instead of being friendly and saying that they ran out. Which she never did. She instead acted like we bothered her for asking a question. The assistant manager of all people. The checkers also don't say one word to you when you walk up there, its like they are robots they don't make conversation with you unless you talk. Great grocery store to save money. You get pretty much everything you need. The quality of Aldi's brand food is much better than Walmarts great value. There is no deli which is the only thing I don't like. In regards to the quarter for shopping cart, you get your quarter back after you bring the cart back. Cuts cost of having an employee chasing down carts. I love how much heavier my wallet is because of Aldi. For every $100 worth of walmrt groceries I spent around $65 . read more
