I attended a bridal shower and brought a huge amount of salt water taffy to Michigan so all the attendees could go home with some and they all loved it! I also brought boxes of fudge which I preordered and the shop wrapped each fudge bar with colored ribbons that matched the colors for the upcoming wedding. The fudge was another huge hit with all the women attending the bridal shower. My favs are milk chocolate covered orange peels and milk chocolate cashew turtles. They are both delicious and are very crave worthy. The shop is usually uncrowded unlike candy stores at the mall. Every box has waxed paper folded neatly around the chocolates within which makes a lovely presentation if you are presenting the box to someone as a gift.

Her behavior made me feel like I was being watched and singled out, which was both upsetting and unsettling. It felt like I was being racially profiled, as she appeared to alert other staff to keep an eye on me and my girlfriend. We were simply shopping in casual clothing (sweats and slippers), and there was no reason to suspect us of anything inappropriate. Because of how uncomfortable the situation became, we decided to cut our shopping short and only purchased a banana. At checkout, I explained what had happened to the cashier and even asked whether theft of a $3.99 tote bag was really such a concern. It was frustrating to feel judged over something so minor, especially when we had no intention of doing anything wrong. Overall, the experience left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I hope management addresses this, as no customer should feel profiled or uncomfortable while simply trying to shop.
