I received a reasonable quote for a SINGLE ROOM ceiling 14x17 and poorly chose to work with Victorious. He showed up 30 minutes late - outside of the hour arrival window. He showed up NO MATERIALS for the job. He did not pull the tarp that was pinned to the ceiling to assess the drywall work necessary. He spent almost 2 hours going to the store 10 minutes away for basic materials: drywall, tape, mud, etc. When he came back he removed the tarp and saw the split stud and then called me to ask if I was okay with sistering it before starting the drywall, to which I ok'd. There was insulation that needed to happen unexpectedly and after asking him if that could be added to the job, he quickly agreed. He came back more than 2 hours later with a 2x4 and insulation. He later blamed me as the reason the job started at 3:00pm when the original start time for work was 9:30am. TO BE CLEAR, Victorious DID ZERO WORK. He contracted a fantastic man to do everything - this man walked me through step by step what he was doing and why and did a WONDERFUL job. I will NEVER recommend Victorious. We actually decided to ask them to patch and repaint a wall where the paint had cracked due to roof leakage (since repaired) and they gave us a really reasonable bid for all of that. To provide an example of his customer-focus, Aaron painted our house right before we put it on the market. The night before it was due to be shown, a different contractor came in and pressure-washed into our siding. With rainscreen, that's a no-no. Aaron came right back out again at a moment's notice, and redid the areas where the paint had been impacted. No questions, no fuss, no haggling. And it looked great. We couldn't recommend him more strongly.

First: the lead on the job, Aaron, was always very polite, patient, and helpful. He and his workers…read moredid an excellent job at each stage of the process. The power washing was thorough; the stain is nice and even; no stain got onto the white walls of our roof deck. If you asked me to evaluate Red Brush on the quality of their output alone, I wouldn't hesitate to give them a higher rating. But their communication is really, really bad. There were so many screw-ups in communication that I can't even remember all of them anymore. The big problem was that they would make changes or decisions without contacting us. Every time, we would have to call them to find out what was going on, usually because they missed their own deadlines. Some examples: 1) Our initial contact was great until we asked for a timeline, and then they stopped responding. I understand that contractors have flexible schedules by necessity (esp. due to weather), but they simply stopped communicating with us about it. We weren't able to get a response nailing down dates & times until the week prior. 2) Before they came to do the power washing, Red Brush told my wife that they would stop by "sometime over the weekend" to do color matching on the stain and collect a deposit. They did not specify when, so we were home all weekend waiting. They never showed up, never called, didn't answer their phones when we called. 3) We scheduled them to do a power washing on Monday 9/23, do a first stain on 9/24, and a second on 9/25. I took time off from work to be home for this. Halfway through the day on Monday, nobody had shown up, so I called them. Their office told me that they weren't actually planning to come out that day; they were going to do the power washing on 9/24 and the earliest they would be able to stain was 9/26. Had I not called, we never would have known. Wasted several vacation days. 4) After the first surprise, I repeatedly asked our contact in their main office to send me confirmations in writing via email. Every time, she promised to do this, but only actually did so 1 time out of 3-4 asks. This suggests to me that this communication weakness is a problem they know about and are not planning to fix. 5) They ended up not doing the second stain on 9/25 due to weather. It was pouring for several days, so that made perfect sense to us, but we asked them to let us known when they would be back. They agreed--and then never told us. I had no idea they'd been back at all until a couple days ago, I decided to check the deck, and the second coat was on it. ------------ If you are only looking for a quality product and do not need or care about the details, Red Brush might work for you. But if you're like me and expect a modicum of professionalism from the people you pay, it's hard to recommend them. Despite the quality work they did for us, I doubt we'll contact them next time.

I asked for a quote and sent photos of the job (repairing some door trim that was heavily scratched…read moreplus replacing two baseboards in a small office). Very minimal work. He quoted me $250. Then he said $300 including materials. Then when he showed up he said it was $425 because he had to factor in the cost of driving to Home Depot. Then in the end it was $550 with tax! Over double the original quote. He also never showed up on the scheduled day so I had rebook. When he finally showed up on the rescheduled day he was a half hour late. Then he didn't even finish staining the door trim when he left. Oh, and he was messy and ended up getting wood filler residue on my door that now must be sanded off and restained. The baseboard job was fine. But the door trim repair was shoddy. That, coupled with poor communication and constantly increasing costs, makes me NOT recommend Giovanny.

Summary: Below DIYer work quality, dishonest and opaque…read morepricing, delays, and bad communication. If you value your time, think twice before working with Giovanni. Picture says a thousand words. I will leave you as the judge for the quality of work from Giovanni base on my photos. Detail: First thing I want to call out is the dishonest pricing. The initial estimate with $720-$800 for seven tasks. Then I was told there's $100 additional material fee. I didn't care, thought it's reasonable. Three tasks were "done" (omitting quality discussion here), he came back another day and ask me for another $400 ($150 for extra material and $250 for labor). I asked him to show me what he's purchased but he never show me the receipt. At the end we mutually agree to not do the last task and he will refund me $250. As of today, he still owe me $250 and it's impossible to get a hold of him now... Another call out is during the process I get tons of last minute delay and no-show. I get all sort of excuses: rain, previous job overran, phone broken. If your job is time critical, please be super careful. My final conclusion: If you have 1) very non-critical job that is 2) not urgent, and you 3) don't care much about quality and 4) have plenty of time to communicate, you can hire Giovanni for his somewhat low price.

Bubbles to burst, sanding, priming, all on old wood. He was, by far, the lowest bid of 3 I acquired and I feel no one could have done a better job. I seriously doubt I would have gotten as good as his for a thousand dollars more. His team was quiet and friendly and knowledgeable whether Hernan was onsite or off. I highly recommend LC Painting and am now going to have them paint the interior of my new townhome! 5+ STARS!
