I had Painter Ready paint my kitchen, a bedroom, a hallway and a bathroom approximately a year ago…read more Mike Thomas who owns the company is completely unreliable. You are lucky if he answers your email in a week's time. Many times he just doesn't respond. Mike told me he would match the paint in my kitchen and it is definitely not matched. It was an off white and now it's an ugly sort of dirty looking vanilla color. I'm going to have several of the rooms redone, especially the kitchen. I've been emailing Mike off and on for months and have asked him to come over and look at a couple of things regarding the painting he did in my kitchen. He keeps putting me off and telling me things like he's busy or will get over to my place one of these weekends. The paint behind my sink is failing. The only way I can describe it is to say it's sort of cracked. The caulking behind my sink has separated and there is a split at least 12 inches long. Mike painted my backsplash a bright white and it looks nothing like it did before he painted. I was shocked when I saw it but didn't say anything. I should have. All Mike cares about is getting your money. He is not the least bit interested in what kind of a job he does. His wife, son and daughter work with him and they don't know what they are doing. Mike will agree on certain days to paint and then change the dates. He doesn't finish the job and I had to call him back several times to ask him why things weren't done and ask him to come back and finish. I asked him why some of my trim hadn't been done and he said that wasn't included in the job. I told him I wanted that done. Once he left my condo completely unlocked which is a big thing to me as I have had break ins. I now have an alarm system. I am single and I am not rich. My mother left me some money when she passed away which is the only reason I was able to afford to spend thousands of dollars on painting and now I will have to spend more to have things fixed and painted in the correct color. Mike has himself set up on sites like Home Advisor and somehow has gotten himself an A rating. He shouldn't even be on any of those sites. They are recommending him to others. Just be careful and do not hire Mike because you will get a lousy job with watered down paint. I have many spots here and there where paint has scratched off and the wall has barely been touched. I even got Mike a job with my 90 year old upstairs neighbor. Apparently he gave her some pretty good prices. The prices he gave me were not as good. I have no idea how he estimates. Maybe numbers just come into his head. My neighbor called me once because she was trying to get in touch with him and he wasn't getting back to her. I told her that he probably would but she might have to wait a week. Apparently he did get in touch with her. I guess she was lucky. I can't say enough bad things about this company. Stay away!!!!!

He never charged extra but reminded us that most painters would. He made our red trim and garage doors white. Our house needed extra prep work. Mike recommended getting new gutters, and we did. I also replaced some chimney siding he said was warped. He let me use his washer on my walkways, as he removed that item in order to reduce the price. I had plenty of time to use it. The weather and family issues impacted the timing of the work getting completed, but enabled me to ensure everything was prepped the way I wanted it to be (I did some of the priming, prep work, and all of the post-paint work). He left a few cans of paint for touch up. They tore off all of the masking paper and at our request took it away instead of using our recycling bin. They are very fast (hasty) workers but usually they only work a few hours day and a few days a week. I recommend having a deadline completion date in the contract along with what happens if the date is missed. This was hard on my wife who was anxious to get it done. Overall we are very happy with the result but we did a lot of related work and had to work hard on the communication, which was frequent as the timing of things kept changing almost every time we talked.

I started reaching out to them and finally got a projected start date of late Sept. 2020 at the end of July, 2020. As we got into the middle and late August, I tried to reach out to them again to get a firmer start date. After numerous attempts by me they finally responded in the second week of September that they would not be able to follow through with the late September start date. I was told they could do the job next Spring! They stated that due to CoVid they had laid off half their work force! I understand that CoVid has created huge effects in our personal lives and economy. However, I noticed that other companies are responding and continuing to take on work. Ren-O-Paint's decision and late communication with me forced me to immediately search and find a company willing to take on my house painting. Fortunately, I was able to succeed finding someone and will get my house painted when I wanted it done and not to Ren-O-Paint's schedule. I regret having to give this negative review of Ren-O-Paint not keeping their commitments, but so it is! Despite the crisis, other companies are able to make commitments and keep them!

I received a reasonable quote for a SINGLE ROOM ceiling 14x17 and poorly chose to work with Victorious. He showed up 30 minutes late - outside of the hour arrival window. He showed up NO MATERIALS for the job. He did not pull the tarp that was pinned to the ceiling to assess the drywall work necessary. He spent almost 2 hours going to the store 10 minutes away for basic materials: drywall, tape, mud, etc. When he came back he removed the tarp and saw the split stud and then called me to ask if I was okay with sistering it before starting the drywall, to which I ok'd. There was insulation that needed to happen unexpectedly and after asking him if that could be added to the job, he quickly agreed. He came back more than 2 hours later with a 2x4 and insulation. He later blamed me as the reason the job started at 3:00pm when the original start time for work was 9:30am. TO BE CLEAR, Victorious DID ZERO WORK. He contracted a fantastic man to do everything - this man walked me through step by step what he was doing and why and did a WONDERFUL job. I will NEVER recommend Victorious.
