Did not give her the bed pan and had to pee in a trash can because they didn't give her a call button either, they did not respond when she tried to force them to respond by unplugging the heart monitor cord, claimed she had Congestive Heart Failure it was a Stomach virus causing tons of gas making it hard to breath. We don't know if it's a parasite they did not run tests. They let her walk out without discharge papers because she manged to slowly leave feeling unsafe. So much stress and trauma for a stomach that they did not test to know what kind absolutely horrible service. There was no care just torture.

It's just so nice to forget you're in the hospital sometimes. I was having some testing done a couple of days ago and my Nurse Shamika, and radiology is the best. She was comforting, helpful, calmed my nerves and chatted with me while I was waiting for a quick test. Well not that quick. But she helped make me comfortable, I was able to relax and set my mind at ease. The other gals in radiology were also just as friendly and compassionate as Shamika. Oh, and I added pictures of my favorite cafeteria. If you're ever at this hospital for a long stay or at least a few hours. Stop by and visit the cafeteria on the third floor as you head to the lead Transplant center. The official name of this cafeteria is Nebraska Café. If you get lost, just ask someone for directions.

Lots of UNMC buildings…read morein the area, so it took a while to figure out where to park, and then how to get to the right office. Once we figured it out, service was friendly and very efficient. The doctor was excellent, describing the treatment options in detail and asking for my input. He provided full notes and I could also access everything in the UNMC MyChart app later. After the consult, following appointments with other UNMC centers were arranged quickly and efficiently. Huge, well equipped center. I was happily surprised to see there was a Starbucks within the complex

I really felt safe and that all my treatments were on point. I would gladly come back here but I hope I never have to. I would entrust Nebraska Medicine with the care of my family and friend.

I went here yesterday for my neurology appointment for an issue I have had with my hand for a few…read moreyears. The doctor I saw was extremely rude and passive aggressive saying things like "You should feel lucky I let you stay there" to my boyfriend who was in the room with me. I had informed her I have a hard time with needles and she proceeded to pierce into my hand for the test causing it to be in immense pain. It still hurts and I feel she may have pierced into the wrong spot in my hand. Then at the end of it all she tells me that she mainly works as a headache specialist and does "this stuff" (nerve work) on the side. The only plus side from my visit was the people at the front desk were very pleasant and kind to everyone but other than that the rest of my visit to the neurological institute of this hospital was a mess.

Much better parking experience than at the main complex. Check-in was efficient and provided comprehensive instructions so my wife could follow my progress while in surgery. I only waited a short time before going to a room for prep. Pre-op support from the techs, nurses and doctors was friendly and efficient, especially from the anesthesiologist. Post operative support was equally high quality and my wife appreciated the surgeons post operative discussion. On a side note, I really love the UNMC electronic medical record system (MyChart). All my surgical notes were in the system by the time I got home, and my post operative prescriptions showed in the system also. My wife was able to pick up my prescriptions from a pharmacy close to home later that afternoon.
