I went here yesterday for my neurology appointment for an issue I have had with my hand for a few…read moreyears. The doctor I saw was extremely rude and passive aggressive saying things like "You should feel lucky I let you stay there" to my boyfriend who was in the room with me. I had informed her I have a hard time with needles and she proceeded to pierce into my hand for the test causing it to be in immense pain. It still hurts and I feel she may have pierced into the wrong spot in my hand. Then at the end of it all she tells me that she mainly works as a headache specialist and does "this stuff" (nerve work) on the side. The only plus side from my visit was the people at the front desk were very pleasant and kind to everyone but other than that the rest of my visit to the neurological institute of this hospital was a mess.

I think I've spent 4months or so total time admitted to the place. Maybe more. 99% of the time I get spectacular service and treatment from amazing doctors. Have only had 1 absolute terrible experience with the ultra sound department. That catastrophe alone is why I took a star away. Several cafes, gift shops, cafeterias, and little bodega-type shops are around the entire hospital. Free valet parking. Amazing people. Beautiful artwork and one beyond-awesome garden area full of blown glass art. Going to the hospital to see that area is worth a trip, even if you don't 'need' to be in the hospital. I live in South Sioux City, NE; two hours away. And I have incredibly easy access to health care in my town and Sioux City, IA. But, I come down to Omaha for my major health needs. That's how good this place is. I'm thankful for the doctors here that literally have saved my life. More than once.

Fantastic medical facility and in fact one of the most underrated in the whole country. Quite possibly the best in the plains and across the Midwest. I'm good friends with one of the top people here who just actually transferred to California. I've been in here number of times and I think it's a great facility. Speaking of facility, I'd like to put my facility in your great. Would be 5 stars if medical help was free. It should be.

United insurance is a scam and backed out on me & Nebraska medicine knew this but still said well. " well I guess you owe the $1400 anyway, even though they admitted that it was under your deductible, but they changed their mind" and then they gave me four months to pay it off which I couldn't ( I paid $100 a month) and sent me to collections!!! they are nasty go to Methodist!!!!!

It was a few days after the accident and I couldn't sleep due to chest pains. As it turns out I had fractured two ribs. They had a really cool vertical xray machine and it didn't take long to get in after I called. You basically can't do anything for broken ribs, so I got some painkillers and instructions on what to do. Overall it is my favorite 'hospital' to get taken care of

The woman "so-called" doctor was rude, short and did not seem to care whatsoever about my health and well being. I had a horrible cough, chest pain, and sinus drainage. She told me to take OTC allergy medicine and use nose spray. I went home extremely sick and ended up throwing up all night on top of it all. I will NEVER go to this clinic again!

Much better parking experience than at the main complex. Check-in was efficient and provided comprehensive instructions so my wife could follow my progress while in surgery. I only waited a short time before going to a room for prep. Pre-op support from the techs, nurses and doctors was friendly and efficient, especially from the anesthesiologist. Post operative support was equally high quality and my wife appreciated the surgeons post operative discussion. On a side note, I really love the UNMC electronic medical record system (MyChart). All my surgical notes were in the system by the time I got home, and my post operative prescriptions showed in the system also. My wife was able to pick up my prescriptions from a pharmacy close to home later that afternoon.
