I highly doubt you want to read a full report of my time at UNMC. Been going for almost 3 years now…read morebecause of liver & kidney disease. I also had a horrible stomach infection treated there. I think I've spent 4months or so total time admitted to the place. Maybe more. 99% of the time I get spectacular service and treatment from amazing doctors. Have only had 1 absolute terrible experience with the ultra sound department. That catastrophe alone is why I took a star away. Several cafes, gift shops, cafeterias, and little bodega-type shops are around the entire hospital. Free valet parking. Amazing people. Beautiful artwork and one beyond-awesome garden area full of blown glass art. Going to the hospital to see that area is worth a trip, even if you don't 'need' to be in the hospital. I live in South Sioux City, NE; two hours away. And I have incredibly easy access to health care in my town and Sioux City, IA. But, I come down to Omaha for my major health needs. That's how good this place is. I'm thankful for the doctors here that literally have saved my life. More than once.

Did not give her the bed pan and had to pee in a trash can because they didn't give her a call button either, they did not respond when she tried to force them to respond by unplugging the heart monitor cord, claimed she had Congestive Heart Failure it was a Stomach virus causing tons of gas making it hard to breath. We don't know if it's a parasite they did not run tests. They let her walk out without discharge papers because she manged to slowly leave feeling unsafe. So much stress and trauma for a stomach that they did not test to know what kind absolutely horrible service. There was no care just torture.

I'm so thankful my sister gave me the suggestion to see her Dr. at Think Whole Person Healthcare…read more My first appointment was with Dr. Diamond and she was wonderful! She made me feel comfortable, she answered all of my questions, and she seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say! Since then, I've gone back several times for different appointments and more recently visited a new Dr. Unfortunately Dr. Diamond moved on to a place closer to her home so I set up an appointment with Dr. Erin Ray. I was interested in a Doctor who had a holistic approach to care and I love that Dr. Ray is a Doctor of Osteopathic medicine. My first visit with here was wonderful, she complimented my tattoo which is a first from a Doctor, and I knew I'd feel pretty comfortable with her. She asked me several questions and throughout the conversation I realized that there were some issues that I could/did have that would be good to share. She recommended a few things and prescribed a couple of things to help and they've been great! Anytime I have an appointment or something to do here I appreciate that everything is in one place. There's ample parking outside, there's a nice coffee shop downstairs with delicious coffee and grilled sandwiches. There's great seating to enjoy your coffee or meal while getting some work done as well. Another great aspect about Think Whole Person is its proximity to the Aksarben shops. I usually don't frequent this area but when I do it makes sense for me to drive down to check out what's going on in Aksarben and the shops near by. I'm thankful I set up my healthcare here and am pleased that I can get all my bloodwork and Dr. visits, all in one place!
