I went here yesterday for my neurology appointment for an issue I have had with my hand for a few years. The doctor I saw was extremely rude and passive aggressive saying things like "You should feel lucky I let you stay there" to my boyfriend who was in the room with me. I had informed her I have a hard time with needles and she proceeded to pierce into my hand for the test causing it to be in immense pain. It still hurts and I feel she may have pierced into the wrong spot in my hand. Then at the end of it all she tells me that she mainly works as a headache specialist and does "this stuff" (nerve work) on the side. The only plus side from my visit was the people at the front desk were very pleasant and kind to everyone but other than that the rest of my visit to the neurological institute of this hospital was a mess. read more

Immanuel Infusion center was nice and clean with decorations throughout center. Nurses were knowledgeable about different infusions and were eager to assist patients. Nurses even pay for snacks which was so kind. Highly recommended this infusion centers. read more

2 years later and I still think about how little they cared about my son that passed away. We sat in a worn and dirty waiting room by the entrance where the ambulances bring patients in. We waited and waited for them to bring us information. We ended up walking out. The only person that cared was one of the nurses. Worst experience ever. read more

CT scan really messed up by a "new" tech. She didn't screw the cap on my IV line so while inside the machine, fluid sprayed on my face, hair, ears, clothes. I was told that there was a microphone and could be heard if I needed anything. After asking and asking for help, I finally started yelling and they came in. Then I had to have the contrast dye injected again because it had sprayed all over me previously. Had to have a supervisor come in and check my IV. Had to have another tech hold my IV in place for proper placement. The test only takes about two minutes, but I was in there an hour and a half, what a joke that places. I have complained to the hospital and won't be going there again. read more

My daughter has had very poor healthcare here. Her primary care Dr. seems unintetested. I didn't believe her, but then I went to one of her appointments and saw it for myself. They seem to punish you if you have an opinion on your care, and the psychiatrist calls my daughter difficult. Psychiatrist R. Cervantes seems to be gung-ho regarding ECT, but I know someone who has had ECT and they are worse off than before. He downplays side effects. I don't trust him. I have advised my daughter to go elsewhere for care (she has Bipolar and mostly depression), as surely other doctors will be honest about ECT. Maybe they get a bonus for forcing people into it. My teenage son attempted to violently put an end to my life by swinging a shovel at my head, after days of explicitly stating that he does intend to kill me. Luckily I was able to subdue him and get help from the police, my son went to the hospital. After a day, the doctor said my son isn't showing any signs of committing patricide, and despite my objections, Doctor B told me he can't live here, as if that was ever my intention when I sought help for my son in the throes of a psychotic episode. I disagreed with discharging, and doctor said quote K and ended the call abruptly. A treatment plan was created, but before we even got out of the building he refused to do any of it, moments later on the way home he jumped out of my moving vehicle on the highway and began running across traffic. This just happened. They said to bring him back if he tries to kill me again. If he doesn't succeed in killing I will definitely go to a different hospital. Egregiously poor practice. read more

I guess they only want to help a certain type of ppl. In 4 years & miscarriages later...NO HELP. They're too busy playing on the phone & being nasty to PAYING patients. Well at least me. Miranda has always been rude. She jammed a needle in my arm & I told the doctor I want her to stay away from me anytime I go there. Today I was told by a "nurse" to take birth control after stating I believe I'm pregnant. I explained to her that I'm married and we have been trying. Do better. I have seen many plastic Doctors at CHI. Doctors who do not put their heart into their work and some Doctors laugh at their patients behind closed doors. When one is on Medicare the quality medical help is poor. read more

Absolute WORST experience ever. Arrived in ER at 7:45 PM and was not brought back to see a Dr. or PA until 11:13 PM for a dog bite. Once called back, it was over an hour (11:53 PM) before I was able to receive PEP and vaccine. Intake nurse Tami simply stated "welcome to the ER". Nurse Emily was the only positive throughout the entire night, while she administered my vaccines. Was TOLD that I would receive a follow-up call the next day to schedule 2nd Round of vaccination at The Family Clinic on 3rd floor. Did not receive any follow-up on call on care given or experience for that matter. Spent nearly 40 minutes today trying to call several numbers listed on the After Visit Summary given to me, and was told by an employee while calling to seek out next steps, "if you don't know where you need to be, I surely don't know". Completely unacceptable. Was finally able to reach charge nurse for directions named Xio, and was told she drawing a patients blood at the moment and could not answer my questions or provide any answers, and that it would be in her words " a while before I can get back to you". I've never felt compelled in my life to leave a review until my experiences last night and today with this organization. I work in healthcare, and chose this profession, as did my partner, because we love to help and assist PEOPLE. At NO point throughout my time in the ED or communication via telephone have I ever felt any compassion or felt that anyone has exerted any empathy at any point. Please be consider ALL options before entrusting this organization to care for you or your family. read more

I work in social services in the Omaha area, and I am grateful for the vital role CHI Immanuel plays in Omaha's mental health community. From my understanding, CHI's Immanuel location is the psychiatric center within the overarching CHI medical system. Notably, Immanuel is one of Omaha's very few mental health "partial hospitalization programs" for folks in need. Mental health programs, in-patient care: -- I've never attended Immanuel's programs, but through my work I know more than 10 folks who've attended their "partial hospitalization" and "intensive outpatient programs." (That means, with these programs, patients still live at home, but attend these programs - sometimes daily, all day - to help patients through challenging times.) -- Much gratitude to the compassionate, underpaid, and overworked professionals who make this program happen. Mental health programs, out-patient care: -- I have worked with Salina Anderson, APRN. She specializes in psyc care, and also has years of experience working as a nurse supervisor in traditional medicine. She works in CHI Immanuel's Psyc Associates Office, and sees patients to oversee psyc medication care and mental health needs. (She also works at Lasting Hope, a local recovery location). Very highly recommend. -- I've also known folks who've attended the trauma support groups and DBT skills groups at Immanuel. I've heard good things. As intended and necessary, can be challenging. But rewarding for recovery. Reason for 4 stars: -- Didn't give CHI Immanuel 5 stars because - and this may seem silly, but seriously - CHI's phonetree system is poor. When you call in, prepare to be patient. Don't expect to get connected to the person/office you need quickly or easily. -- CHI is a medical group that's long overdue for an updated, functional phone system. Even CHI Immanuel employees express frustration with it. Really hoping CHI's higher-ups take action and remedy this. Especially since the call-in system is how a person in need reaches out for potentially life-saving care! Overall: -- Like every other town and city in the US, Omaha lacks the amount of mental health resources it needs to help the people who desperately need it. That said, **heartfelt thanks** to CHI Immanuel's hardworking staff, who give their all to people in need. read more

I would not recommend going here if you are old. Ageism is used so they don't have to actually figure out what's wrong. I was advised by several doctors that CPR shouldn't be used even on someone who is 50. Knowing how they treat older people I would also advise not going here if you are younger either. read more

I went to Immanuel's ER with 104 temp, raging head ache and black urine. What this terrible hospital did is test for flu and staff. Results were negative but I was severely ill. They sent me away with no further tests, I was clearly in bad shape, thank God I went to Methodist the next day after going to my personal physician recognizing I was in trouble. I was diagnosed with legionaries disease and rushed to the ICU. After a 10 day stay began to recover. Very blessed! Now what really upset me is a cover up stating I declined care. That is someone covering their a$$. Maybe they were busy, I don't know. Why would I decline care when I was so sick? All I asked was some help on a bill for treatment I did not receive. Crappy care and a middle figure is basically what I received. I recommend any other hospital, Both myself and my family will never trust this hospital for care again! read more

I could write a BOOK on how bad this place is, from the emergency room to the orthopedics ward to the outpatient lab. The latter was my last visit there; was fully hydrated for a basic metabolic panel and the lab tech drawing the blood STILL poked me and proceeded to DIG AROUND IN MY ARM in order to find a vein. I've had less pain after surgical procedures! Barely made it to my car as I was dizzy, light-headed and crying my eyes out; as soon as I got to my car I threw up all over their parking lot. I don't care if I'm dying; I will jump OUT the back of any ambulance that tries to take me there again, just because they are the "closest"! I'd RATHER die than darken their door again! read more

Delivered to hospital by ambulance with crushing chest pain, shoulder pain, left arm pain and unable to take anything more than a tiny breath of air. Walked out feeling wonderful 2 1/2 days later. The staff is fully focused and gives you great confidence at every level. The cardiologists quickly diagnosed a fairly rare condition and took immediate action. I began to show improvement almost immediately. Clean solo rooms, latest equipment, great food. Meals are discussed with you prior to delivery and they are exceptional. Every nurse assigned to me was professional and courteous. Cleanliness was a priority by each. I want to extend a special thank you to Caitlin Sanders for her focus on my condition, closely watching the monitors attached to me and taking immediate decisive action when an anomaly occurred. You are the best Caitlin. Thank you for your wonderful care. read more

Lol...20 min estimated wait time??? We waited in the lobby 2 and a half hours before they finally brought me and my wife back. We let them know she had blood coming out of both ends and what seemed to be a belly full of it and they still made her wait that long and acted like we should be happy and greatful for it! When we got back to our room the nurse stopped us at the door and said sorry...i didn't know a rescue squad came in, they took your room, im gonna have to ask you to go back out to the waiting room. Then we noticed the room empty and a lot of ppl coming in after us were now being seen. We let the attendant know, but she seemed to be more consirned with whatever was on her computer screen. Im guess a game of solitare. She said sorry there is just a couple more ppl ahead of you, even after we told her what happened and that we got skipped and at this point there was only 2 other ppl in the waiting room besides us and she let us know that 4 rooms were being cleaned and would be available soon. As they did with 2 of us on the last trip back. So now we had to wait with the last 2 before we could even get back! At this point I had wayyyy to much. I have paitience, but enough. So we got up and left and on the way out she said "are you leaving?"...like i was crazy to pass on this great care establihment. I haven't even got past the waiting room to see a nurse, who will send in a doctor, who will send in a lab tech. He will draw labs and we will wait behind everyone else.....AGAIN. no ty. We went to Bergan-Mercy and received care that was worlds better. This was not my first trip to Immanuel, but it definitely will be my last. This hosptal used to be great...no lie GREAT!!! Over the last 10 years though it has went wayyyyy down hill. I will be a Bergan patient now. read more

My family member was sent to this nightmare of a hospital. Because her sodium levels were dangerously low she was put on the covid floor. The nurses were so horrible on this floor. They put in a catheter and never cleaned it. So they gave my family member a infection. She had to wait until the covid test came back to be moved to another area. While on the covid floor she would have starved if a family member hadn't been there to feed her. They literally put a catheter in her and left her. She had a open wound for days that wasn't ever treated on her arm. Now we have to worry that she might get covid since the care was so poor. I could go on and on about all the horrible things they did. Like leaving her in feces with a catheter and never cleaning it. She was never given a bath she was there for days. If your not dying when you go in you will be with there care. I wouldn't send my dog there. read more

Im came to the Er feeling like I have been hit by a truck! I've had the flu only once in life yet this was the same familiar feeling..I got put in a small room with a recliner, I was left in that room for over 1hr with no one coming to check on me, tell me it will be a minute.NOTHING! I decided to press the nurse button & let them know I hadn't been visited yet..a couple mins later some guy comes in & gv a pretty lame excuse of why they hadn't come yet..then about 5 mins after that a pa named Margie comes in looks in my ears, listened to my lungs & said ok treat yourself with Tylenol & ibuprofen your gonna feel bad for awhile. I mentioned well your not gonna check me for the flu or strep or bronchitis..nothing?She refused & said I not giving u any antibiotics?! What?! My ears hurt..chest on fire along throat aching cough body aches I hadn't had any liquids in barely in 36hrs bc it's too hard to swallow..she never even cared to ask..I asked can u at least send me home with cough syrup to help until I see my dr on Monday..& she did & sent me home..the WORST CARE EVER!!!! Will NEVER return!!!! read more
