First project was to repair my exterior brick from a plumbing repair. All the work was done in a timely fashion and was completed to a high quality standard at a fair price. Next project was to transform the outside red brick by going with a German schmear masonry treatment. The finished look was nothing short of stunning. I am so impressed with this company. The work they did was outstanding. They walked my house with me and outlined options, and when I had questions later they were patient in answering them. The pricing was really reasonable, I got several quotes and they were spot on. Timing-wise they were SO QUICK... they got the work done right away, and it was done well. PROS: Easy process, very professional, and great results. CONS: High cost. We were in need of some patches/repairs to the exterior bricks of our house as well as repairs to a bathroom shower. Small things like mortar separation,  cracked bricks, and missing caulk. Contacted Alexander and Xavier Masonry via their contact form on their website, and received a prompt response to scheduling a visit for an estimate or offered to provide an estimate via photos. We scheduled a time for a visit, where a project manager surveyed our house where repairs were needed. A few days later we received a professional summary of the project and an estimate for repairs. After scheduling the repairs the end result was exactly what we wanted. The crew showed up with no directions and I had to go over the project again in detail. We never saw the project manager who originally surveyed the house (he said he stopped by, but we never saw him). I felt like if I didn't monitor the project it would not have been done as expected, but in the end, it turned out great. The cost was much higher than expected for the type of repairs needed. However, we could not find any other masonries with the reputation and quality of Alexander and Xavier so we moved forward with their estimate. Results were great, but I still feel it wasn't worth the cost. Their online process to view and accept the quote, and then to pay the final invoice was amazing and added an additional professional touch. After the project, we got a handwritten thank you card in the mail, a thoughtful addition. If we have future masonry projects, we will be calling Alexander and Xavier again. read more

Estimate of $2400 to fill some minor cracks from foundation work on an 1800 sq for home. As soon as I stopped laughing I called someone else for a real quote. I think they were planing on lining the brick with 24 karat gold or something. read more

Although Alonzo, A and X did some decent stone work, they did horrendous and incompetent stucco and Sheetrock. The stucco has giant mortar lines everywhere because Alonzo and his crew apparently have no clue had to correctly install stucco. On top of that Alonzo and his crew ruined 10k of soffit by covering it in stucco and scratched and ruined about 20k in windows. Alonzo is a compulsive liar and has lied for months about coming to fix the poor quality work and the massive damage his incompetent crew did to my house. After he covered windows, soffit, shingles in stucco, he then threatened other workers on my property claiming he was "sending sicarios to get them for pointing out some of the damage he caused." Avoid this company unless you want terrible work and a pending legal battle. read more

Alex & Xavier Masonry recently repaired the brick & grout on the exterior of my chimney which was falling apart. I live in NE Dallas near the Arboretum. Alonzo supervised my project from beginning bid to end clean up and was very responsive to all my questions. Excellent work done quickly at a reasonable rate compared to other higher bids I received with start time months out. Can't say enough good things about the experience. My chimney looks great! Alonzo also had the crew repair a few shingles on my roof & power wash my driveway to clean up the work area where they mixed the grout. A few days later I received a thank you letter from Alonzo in the mail with a Starbuck's gift card. Nice touch. I plan to use them again when I have work done to repair brick/grout on the outside of my house and patio concrete restoration work. read more

Alonzo's crew just finished repointing our entire house, and it didn't look this good when the place was first built. In addition to crumbling mortar, we had a few minor foundation issues, and a handful of cracked bricks that needed to be dealt with. They did everything that needed to be done, without me having to come along behind them to point out anything missed. They also cleaned up after themselves better than any work crew I've seen in the last 20 years. My only complaint is they left me with nothing to complain about. read more

Alonzo and his team were great! They were very responsive and accommodating. They built us a beautiful mailbox, tree rings, and flower beds, and also power washed some ivy stains off the front of my house. Now my house looks much newer! Would definitely use them again! read more
