All of the communication was expertly handled by Ms. Fonseca, whose professionalism and responsiveness were second to none. She answered all my questions on the phone to my complete satisfaction. Despite getting caught up with a work call and delaying my photos, I received a very reasonable quote within 15 minutes of contacting Omega Masonry via their website. Impressively, they managed to obtain a picture of my mailbox themselves. This all took place on the afternoon of July 1st, and they followed up promptly the next day to schedule the work for July 5th. On the scheduled day, they arrived exactly on time. During the job, they uncovered a severely rusted mailbox interior, which wasn't part of the original quote. They immediately informed me and worked with me on a price adjustment for a new mailbox insert. The technician then proceeded with the masonry work, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I know it may sound overenthusiastic for a mailbox, but this has been a pain point for years. The technician was polite, explained the cause of the leaning mailbox, and even my mailman complimented the new setup! The entire job was completed in just 3 hours. I am extremely pleased and want to help other customers make a decision to use Omega Masonry. I am more than willing to speak with any potential clients for these guys. Took 10 days to get back to me via phone,…read moreonly to say that they did not find the problem I described (the only trip hazard/lifted section on the entire property... isn't that what they DO?) Of course, no one ever knocked when here. I have cameras on every corner and work from home. I believe they were never here to check. This was likely just a lame excuse for not being timely. I ignored the call, simply because who is going to trust any business communicating this poorly. Better to find out before they start, frankly. They called again, a week later. Supposed they were not going to stop, now. I returned the call to explain that I was just going to tar patch the danged thing, since it was too late to not get fined. His VM told me to call him directly, but he didn't really know who I was or what I was talking about. Wished him good luck and goodbye. He called back several times, finally leaving a VM w/ a lot of defensive and passive aggressive BS. What's the point of that? Truly? It only stroked your own ego, buddy. You didn't make me cry. We're not family. I don't care about ya. You do a job, I pay you. You don't, I don't. Others should be aware, though. Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures.
