I've had a number of hearing tests over the years, with a number of different groups, and I know what is complex about the issue I'm dealing with... and yet, when the receptionist called to schedule me, and I asked to make sure they were going to do the right kind of testing I needed, she was annoyed that I asked questions, explained that she couldn't know the answers, refused to let me talk to anyone else, and said if I needed to ask questions I might be able to either ask my ENT (who was merely the person who referred me... if I refer you to a plumber, the plumber doesn't demand you talk to me to answer questions about their job) or I might (might) be able to ask questions of the audiologist when I showed up... but, why would I go there and waste everyone's time if they aren't even in a position to do the right kind of test? Yes: I was speaking with a receptionist; but, normally, the receptionist will either know some basics about the office or be able to refer quick questions to a tech. The combination of these factors made me feel like I was going to get railroaded into paying for a bunch of useless effort that wouldn't help. Having now gone through the negative reviews on Yelp, this seems to be consistent now (all of the positive reviews are pre-2020, and every single of the reviews since are 1 star, complaining about being railroaded due to bad information).

They told us that of course they take Anthem Blue Cross, but we discovered they are OUT of network. Of course they know that and make you sign a form that you pay everything the insurance does not. Our insurance said that we only owed $1,004, based in the fair cost if the aids, but Hearing Services overcharged on their hearing aids so that we were billed $2,984! Buyer beware!! They will lie to you about what insurance they are affiliated with and then charge you three months later for three times the price! So sad to see this unethical practice.

Being our first baby, we were extremely concerned about his issues with his passage way. Unfortunately, no medical professionals were diagnosing him. They were stumped. We finally got referred to Dr. Tylor, right around the time our son turned 10 months. At our first appointment, she walked into the treatment room and was able to diagnose him in 30 seconds by just looking at him. She was able to suggest a treatment plan going forward and didn't want to waste anytime. She happily answered about a million questions. Fast forward to his outpatient surgery before his first birthday, everything went off without a hitch. Her surgical team was amazing and you could just tell they respect her as the expert. Our son got a cold after surgery, and Dr. Tylor answered my frantic calls and texts around 11pm at night. I think most importantly what I want to say is...having a baby is hard already. I have known for several years that I had significant hearing but I was in denial about needing a…read morehearing aid. Dr. Michael Malotte had conducted hearing tests which showed a 45% loss of hearing in my left ear. In October, 2019 Dr Zachary Vandergriend donated hearing aid to The Branch Elementary School auction. Apparently I was the only person in attendance who needed a hearing aid. I won the auction. I was then contacted by Dr Jennifer Perry about the hearing aid that I had won. At the appointment she explained about the options that I had . An order was placed.At my next appointment I received my hearing aids. Dr. Perry patiently explained and calibrated the hearings for me to get comfortable with change that I would notice while using the hearings aids. It is AMAZING. I so regret not having been fitted for a hearing years earlier. I have had 2 follow up appointments where Dr Perry has adjusted the sensitivity of the devices. Is my hearing perfect? No, but the improvement is substantial. The hearing aids are comfortable.I barely notice their presence while I am wearing them. Several times I have tried to get in bed or showered when I realized I was wearing them. I am so pleased with my hearing aids. If your spouse, partner or friends tell you that yo u might have a hearing loss, go get tested. The test is painless, and informative. I have been tested twice without hearing aids and actually enjoyed the testing process. I understand now that hearing loss can effect your mental health. I am 75 years of age and could not carry on a conversation in a crowded restaurant. Now I can participate in the conversations. I am so happy and thankful for my hearing aids, Thank you Drs. I was very clear about my insurance and yet they said Good news and it was accepted and ONLY had my copay. I didn't think that was the case. I wanted to be compliant in care and followed their direction which included that they were covered. They assured me this and had me return 3x and scheduled an MRI. I wanted to go back to my usual home base and do it, but they said NOooo I needed to do it with them and their local MRI place because they know how to work with them and only have confidence in them. They also stated they already did all this work for pre-authorization. I have never met J. McCaffery. I only met Jamie, (who was nice and i hope she sees the light and finds a better honest practice). There is so much i could say...but look at all the reviews..mostly and consistently terrible. Ironic, they wait til after my MRI and having me come in 3x...before they start billing me (a few months later). Once they heard from my regular ENT (another location in USA), they seemed to know the gig was up. Their website, which is bundled with hearing test group, was so unclear. They are separate but communicate online as if one group. Poor and misleading online presence. I have tried to work with Kathy in their billing office so far without success. I have been replacing hearing aids, eye glasses, oxygen machine etc etc. My Dad had his hearing aid but it was plugged and not working. I contacted the makers and their office wanted to charge me $95 for an office visit with additional charges to clean and replace tubing. I saw on line that Alison was near where I moved my parents. I walked into her office with his hearing aids and explained the situation. She asked me to come back in 30 min. Upon my return, she had cleaned and replaced tubing as well as put in new batteries and charged me under $10. I thank you Alison and highly recommend her. She clearly cares about human beings and not just the bottom line!
