I can hear most men just fine. I was very concerned aboit people being able to see them and think less of me. Do I delayed and delayed. Dr Bette court referred me to Dr MK Larson. Dr Larson fitted me with inner ear hearing aids that no one can see unless they were looking for them in my ears. I haven't ever seen anyone notice I'm wearing them. They are tiny. There is no phone app as they are too small for that. But they work great. However all sounds are amplified including background. When there is a lot of background noise I cannot search out a spoken voice and I still have trouble hearing. Because it's all too much noise. However in most normal situations they are great shave live my hearing aids. They are very comfortable as they take a mold of your inner ear and customer make them. They are expensive. I'm a very satisfied customer and no longer stressing about having to wear them. I take them out when sleeping or near water like bathing or swimming.

I have been multiple times for clarification of volume control. I have been shown how to control on devise and on phone; still not able to adjust levels for volume and directional hearing. Last week the earpieces alternately cut out, but worked when I went in. I am totally disgusted with this Signia device and the service I am receiving. I asked for a prorated refund. I paid $5750 for this unsatisfactory product and service. She told me I would just have to "eat my loss". I have an appointment scheduled at Costco for September 30. I have heard many positive accounts of product and service. I plan to avail myself of their exemplary products and service. Phoebe Adams

The ladies working here were delightful. Maybe it helped that I was under the age of 70 and seemed so young by comparison. But they were so sweet, very fun, and easy going. Took a few tests, got hooked up to a machine or two, nothing painful, or difficult. Turns out my hearing is great I just have random ringing in my ears. Weird. Anyway, they all seemed quite knowledgeable about the VA and how claims and things like that worked. If I needed a hearing exam and lived nearby I can't think of any reason not to go here. I'm sure you'll get the same wonderful, kind, caring service I did. No matter your age!

Templeton office is only open Mondays and Fridays. You can see her in SLO Tues Wed Thurs. I highly recommend Dr Larson. I have tiny in the ear hearing aids that were expensive but no one can tell I'm wearing them. They come out when I don't want to wear them or in water, sleeping. Etc. I first tried the ones you leave in but my right ear was smaller than the smallest size available and it became swollen and inflamed from the excess ear pressure. The left was perfect. But I had to switch to receivable ones. The trial period allows you to change to what works. Don't put it off. See Dr Larson and get your hearing tested.

At no point did I feel like she was just trying to make a sale or push things on me that weren't necessary. She even called me after a recent accident and offered loads of advice and consultation over the phone even though she could have just required me to make an appointment for a full visit. She is my go-to audiologist from now on. This is saying a lot since I am musician and educator who requires high functioning hearing everyday.

Hi Yelpers. I had…read moremy wax removed finally after seeing my second MD ( this one an ENT, Dr Molin) and thought I would try again at Hurdle, 4 years later) but they turned me away even tho I apologized, its ok, not a forgiving practice , very rigid, lacks humanity, loves $$$ over people? Oh well, sharing here so you can decide. Btw, I was allergic to the over the counter Debrox drops ( i think its the horrible preservative) so finally used coconut oil by itself for 2 weeks and that worked. It left a tiny bit so probably needed one more week ( senior ears :)). But ENT removed what was left. Ouchy! Off to find an audiologist to do one final test , a Tympanogram , before the final hearing aid decision process. ###Be sure to see an audiologist to start with to avoid my labor intensive process. Free hearing tests do not offer a Tympanogram, it turns out, which is the final ear assessment that is needed for accurate evaluation of our Ear canal and hearing Aid challenges. ### only audiologists offer that. Btw, AirPods Pro 2 and 3 have imbedded support for light hearing loss.

Cons: Not a ton of extra time during the appointment Ratings: - Overall: 5 - Knowledge: 5 - Bedside Manner: 5 - Pace of Appointment: 4 - Push To Sell Hearing Aids: 5 - Office Staff: 5 - Scheduling: 5 - Waiting Area: 4 - Location: 5 - Parking: 5 The hearing in both ears took a sudden turn for the worse in December 2022. My primary care doctor checked what she could and found no apparent problems. My ear, nose and throat specialist - someone to see once a year for a checkup - also said things looked okay. Both suggested a visit to an audiologist so I made an appointment with Chris Hurdle. - Location: Excellent. About 4 blocks east of Highway 101 in a medical building along Oak Park Blvd. Easily accessible from our town, Nipomo, to the south and not far from San Luis Obispo to the north. - Front Office: Busy but friendly. It's a small operation with Dr. Hurdle and one person in the front handling patients and all administrative duties. She seemed to juggle her work very well. - Scheduling: Not a problem. Primary care doctors and specialists are in short supply so I wasn't surprised - almost relieved - I only had to wait 6 weeks. I received a phone reminder 3 days in advance. - Waiting Area: Small, but clean and uncluttered. - Chris Hurdle: Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The appointment was booked for 30 minutes, but mine took 35-40 which was fine. Dr. Hurdle spent 10 minutes asking some questions then seated me in a sound proof booth where I was given different pieces of equipment to test my hearing during the next 20-25 minutes. Finally, he reviewed a printout of the results and suggested I get back in touch with my ENT (who he knows very well). The process moved along briskly, but I didn't feel rushed and got some good information about my situation. - Hard Sell of Hearing Aids - Not at this visit. Dr.Hurdle mentioned it would be reasonable to consider one for my right ear, but noted it would be best to first review his findings with my ENT. It's clear he's a source for equipment if I wish to go that route. - Billing: Too early to tell. I've got Medicare and Medicare supplemental insurance so we'll see if there's anything left for me to cover. - Parking: Plenty. There's good parking in the lots behind and on the west side of the building. I'd certainly recommend Chris Hurdle for your audiology needs.
