I can hear most men just fine. I was very concerned aboit people being able to see them and think less of me. Do I delayed and delayed. Dr Bette court referred me to Dr MK Larson. Dr Larson fitted me with inner ear hearing aids that no one can see unless they were looking for them in my ears. I haven't ever seen anyone notice I'm wearing them. They are tiny. There is no phone app as they are too small for that. But they work great. However all sounds are amplified including background. When there is a lot of background noise I cannot search out a spoken voice and I still have trouble hearing. Because it's all too much noise. However in most normal situations they are great shave live my hearing aids. They are very comfortable as they take a mold of your inner ear and customer make them. They are expensive. I'm a very satisfied customer and no longer stressing about having to wear them. I take them out when sleeping or near water like bathing or swimming.

I mean, I get it, you're on the phone but you can look up at me and gesture. I'm left standing awkwardly by the counter for five minutes-- which doesn't sound long, but trust me it is when no one has made eye contact with you or acknowledged that you're in the room.

(bait and switch?) This was after I became comfortable with the hearing specialist and failed to read the new agreement. Now I hear Jeff, the specialist I saw, is no longer with them and they are running a special(?) with a new person/audiologist. To cover up, they blamed my Insurance company and gave me a reference number for their call to them which was not a reference number at all, but rather their phone #. Their cover-up made it so I could not return the hearing aids in the allotted time and they never told me I wouldn't be seeing the same professional, Jeff, for my next appointment. With so many scams going on, a company like this needs to be up-front with us senior citizens.

Everyone was rude (again?!). Just a rude culture here (can't believe this is my 2nd time reviewing them/didn't know was same co). Noone says "you're welcome, thank you, goodbye" if you initiate a hello, thank you or goodbye, don't expect to be responded to. Just a snotty/snobby bunch of people who found each other and work together. Even Dr. Dusch saunters out of your appt room without a goodbye, she just exits. Rude, rude and rude.

I fractured my scapula a couple of weeks ago, x-rays in the ER and a referral to CCO. I called CCO the next day to schedule an appointment, got voicemail, so I left the details and asked for a call back. Called again each of the next two days, left messages, and waited for a callback. Nothing. By Thursday, I called my primary, asked for a PT referral (which they sent the same day) and went to PT the next day to deal with all the pain and muscle stiffness. PT noticed that the ER referred me to the spine guy at CCO, not the shoulder guy. So on the way home, I stopped by CCO with my ER referral paperwork from Monday , and asked to set an appointment with their shoulder specialist. The nice lady behind the desk, said she understood why I'd want to see the shoulder guy but had to get the spine guy to agree that the shoulder guy was the right specialist to see me, and assured me they'd be back in touch shortly. For a minute, I thought she was saying I could wait there in the lobby while she got that approval. It wasn't until Thursday the next week that I got the call to set an appointment... with the Physician's Assistant... in a week. I told the lady on the phone that I didn't see the point in seeing a PA after 3 weeks with the injury, and that I wanted to see the shoulder physician. Confused, she asked whether I wanted the appointment or not. I clarified that I didn't see the point in seeing a PA 3 weeks after my injury, and that while they'd been "dickin' around with their internal process trying to get me in", I'd already seen my primary, had 2 PT sessions, and one with my Rolfer / Massage therapist. As I was finishing that sentence, she said my language was unacceptable and hung up. To CCO, I'm sorry for saying "dickin' around". For the snowflake on the phone and for the management over there, please expect that injured patients trying to get acute care might be frustrated when it takes you two weeks to do something that should take 10 minutes. I made an appointment for ketamine & for other issues I wanted to talk about because I have to go much further normally to big cities and spend a few nights away from home, on hotels and such. I thought Id save myself a train/bus ride, hotels, eating out. So I arrive at his clinic in Arroyo grande which is an hour and a half drive, & I do the intake form, they take me back, I pee in a cup, & then I return to the waiting room & after 10 minutes the secretary comes out and says "oh Im so sorry but the doctor wants another $300" (in addition to the $200 Ive already paid) This is after I had talked to her about my LONG drive as small talk. Perhaps he thought he could extort me for more money or maybe he does the old bait & switch on other people who are suffering from depression/suicidal ideation/dysphoria/OCD/ADHD and a host of other problems I dont care to list publicly, but the list goes on Anyway Im already checked in, Ive paid $200 and now he demands an extra $300. The ostensible excuse was "oh, youre a new patient because its been a while" but thats clearly BS. When he came out of the office, he glared at me, and I dont really feel like this guy has much desire for helping people. It was a cold, blank stare. I think hes a very typical money-grubber with a vacuous gaze who is willing to send people who are struggling with very serious mental issues back out onto the street if they dont fork out the money. He thought I would cave because I drove so far, but he was wrong. I chose to suffer rather than play that game. This guy is the very opposite of the type who actually mean it when they take the hippocratic oath. I noticed this regarding the cold/ostentatious ambiance on my first couple sessions with him, but to avoid having to go to los angeles- and ironically in the hope of saving time & money- I was willing to overlook it. At some point, governments/communities are going to have to get serious and start screening people for the profession which attract psychopathic personalities or the callous racketeering & perpetual insidious corruption will remain exactly as it is & as its always been.
