The shop sales ladies were very friendly, and they knew their merchandise and what would look best. My daughter initially thought she wanted a dress with straps or sleeves with the cut straight across her chest and they had some lovely dresses like that but when presented with a slight "v" neckline and strapless, she fell in love with it. The sales lady was great at pinning and tucking in the fabric so she could get a better feel for the look of the dress as she is a size 6 and most dress samples are a size 12-20. The sales lady worked her magic, and my daughter ordered her dress. I was surprised that it takes about 8-9 months for the dress to arrive. Then 3 months for alterations. I am very glad that we shopped a year out from her wedding date.

Yes, sorry to confess, but I'm one those more enticed by exotic food and drink than the event itself. The problem however was that to attend, I needed a "Morning Suit." Something as simple as a tuxedo absolutely would not do. So, since I doubted that I would ever have need of a morning suit in the future, I thought it best to merely rent one along with a double cuffed turned down collared shirt. So it was this that brought me to Novias Bridal, assuming that besides wedding dresses and taking care of wedding plans they most likely suppled formal wear for men. When I arrived I found that you couldn't just walk into Novias. There is a doorbell button which I pushed, but nothing happened. However as I was leaving, someone came to the door. I asked about renting a morning suit, but we seemed to have some misunderstanding between a morning suit and a tailcoat suit. But it sort of got beside the point as they don't seem to carry anything like that and would have to find out whether or not a supplier had them and then order. So, I gave that up but while there I saw an amazing selection of wedding dresses which, of course, I envied. A young girl was looking one over, a dress I really liked and know that I would certainly look far better in it than her; and probably more deserving of it too. Don't you agree? So for wedding dresses and wedding planning they seem to be very good, but for gentlemen's attire whether you're going to a wedding or be in a wedding they don't seem to have much.

The first outfit she brought was the wrong size. She told me she didn't have a size large. As I was walking around the shop, she suddenly said she found one. She never asked to take the dresses and rehang them, I did that myself. I understand that the sales associate may have been tired. It was undoubtedly a long day. But, I left that store that I've always loved and will never return again.

I could not have worked with a better designer! Venus not only confirmed that she could make the dress from scratch from 100% silk at a reasonable price, but was open to all my changes to the original dress and even suggested some gorgeous additions of her own! She was communicative between fittings and such a pleasure to work with. Every iteration of the dress as it came to life was better than the last. I received so many compliments on my dress and veil on my wedding day and I can not imagine wearing anything from a bridal shop. Her creation was the dress of my dreams!

The work and detail the seamstress put into her work was incredible!!! The dress was gorgeous!! Now the seamstress did a totally sheer dress of mine with floral embellishments that's where sewn on one by one by the designer. It was way to big for me. She was able to tailor it to my size and added cups for my tatas. The final product was AMAZING!!! Now you would expect to spend an arm and leg for alterations this good but she is soooo reasonably priced you almost feel like you've robbed the place!
