The owner is incredible and became one of my favorite wedding "vendors" given all the time we spent together! From the start, she knew exactly what silhouette I would look best in. And she was right! She let me come to that decision myself, which I appreciated, but when she weighed in, it just made me feel even better about my decision. The alterations process was easy, and every change she suggested really did make the dress fit me even better. She also gave us advice on how to save some money by letting the dress manufacturer make some of the changes to my gown. I didn't purchase my wedding gown yet but I had such a pleasant experience at Lauderdale Bride trying on wedding gowns for the first time with IZZY that I felt I must write a review. I made an apt for 10am and was greeted at the front door by Izzy at 955am. She was so wonderful to work with throughout the short hour we were there. We sat down for a few minutes to go over what I liked and didn't like and then she showed me a bunch of dresses that fit my description, a few she thought I'd like and then she told me to look around to see if there was anything else I'd like to try on. I ended up trying on about 6 dresses and 2 I absolutely loved. She helped me get each dress on if I needed and made positive comments that were just what I needed. As a size 12 gal I really appreciated the way she made me feel so beautiful in the boutique! The store itself was decorated so lovely and the dressing rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately this bridal store was a bit too high for my budget but if I had the $ I would go back and buy with Izzy! Make an appointment and ask for her, you won't regret it. read more

AVOID this shop at all costs! the only reason we went here is for a specific dress, but other than getting the dress that we wanted, every other aspect was horrible!! we flew in from out of state 2 different times for alterations and not once were alterations EVER DONE . Every time we showed up at the store, the dress was still pinned and nothing had been touched from the first time... This includes 6 days before the wedding!!!! when we finally picked up the dress two days before the wedding, the dress was hemmed incorrectly, and was still long and dragging on the ground and the veil lace were put on incorrectly and unevenly and at this point, there was nothing else they could do. As the seamstress does not work on site, and we had to leave for the wedding, huge disappointment all around from the shop, Also, the hem line on the dress was extremely jagged and uneven. And the worst part about it was the bustle... The bustle that they put in broke an hour into the reception, and my daughter was stuck carrying a long train the entire evening!!! pair this with the rude attitude of the owner, and this shop is horrific!! so my advice to any bride is a void this place!! read more

Do not shop with Lauderdale bride, they are racists and unprofessional. I arrived to my 4pm appointment and walked in and the owner stared at me while she worked with another family so I waited for 30 minutes with now greeting or acknowledgement of my appointment or how long I've waited. She then told me to pick out dresses and she'd let me know if I could "afford it or not". She'd loudly tell me the prices of the dresses and ask me if I'd like her to put it back. She had no interest in me and I felt it's because of my race and my age. I will be purchasing the dress I found at the shop, but elsewhere. I am so saddened by this experience. read more

Loved Lauderdale Bride from start to finish! It's the most beautiful boutique with a gorgeous dress selection. There were never big crowds and I always had Daria's full attention without hoards of spectators which was a big concern of mine while dress shopping. I was able to try on as many dresses as I wanted and was allowed to take plenty of photos. Daria and Tracy pulled dresses for me that would go well with my venue, would flatter my body type, and were within my price range. After seeing so many dresses both in Coral Way and everywhere else, Daria's dresses were comparable to couture dresses. Along with the reasonable quote she provided for what I wanted, I felt confident that Daria had the ability to make my dream dress happen. I tried on 4 dresses and found my dress! I ended up not renting but instead purchased my dress and could not be happier with my purchase. Throughout the process, she made sure she understood the details I wanted and that the dress fit well on me and even altered the zipper for corset back. Once I saw the finished product, I was floored! She pulled off my dream dress! Even my mom and sister (who was skeptical of my taste and just generally picky) were in awe. In my opinion, buying my wedding dress from this company was the worst experience for, myself as bride, to go through. I bought my dress there and before alterations were even supposed to start, my wedding dress was completely ruined by the shop's seamstress. The owner offered NO help to rectify the situation, to my satisfaction. She then, a few years later, tried to silence me with a letter from a lawyer, threatening to sue me if I did not take down my post on YELP! I only used YELP for its intended purpose, to give my honest opinion on my experience with this company. I do not wish my awful bridal experience on any bride!!! My mother and I both left crying:*( I had a really hard year re-building the dress from scratch so, that 8 months later it was finally ready, the day before we left for my big day (as if planning a wedding isn't enough stressful enough in itself). When I walked in, I was never greeted, although there were 4 people standing there. I was then told to look through the 2 racks of gowns that they had. I didn't like any of the dresses, so I asked about the designers that we had spoken about over the phone. I was told to sit with their "designer" and tell her what I wanted and that she would just make it. I explained that this was not something that I wanted to do. She then explained our $1,000 budget wasn't high enough- the store starts closer to $1,300++ , I guess I understand that. The brunette girl who came in and helped me (can't remember her name :(. ) was absolutely wonderful. She was very nice and attentive. I was thankful for her. The store seemed to get very full, very quickly. There was only one pedestal and mirror, so we had to wait to take turns. Overall, there was a limited selection for my $1,000 budget. She showed up about a half hour late. Ok, well, maybe a misunderstand, but this was supposed to be that fairy tale moment, so I let it go. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. The owner was just plain rude. Insulted my mother and my sister...even told me to lose weight and come back in a month. I left crying. Like most people, of course I could lose some weight, but I was by no means huge in any way. She was putting the most horrific dresses on me. Told me not to look at or ask my mother for advice. Snapped at my mom twice before I finally told her she was rude and to get me out of the current dress to get the hell out of her store. This store was the worst store of the 10 stores I went to. I booked my appointment from Jamaica and let her know I would be flying in just to try on dresses and purchase one. I showed up 20 minutes early for my appointment and did not get to start my appointment until 20 minutes after it was to begin . The lady walked around asking the two other bridal parties that were running into my time if they wanted more champagne or wine can't remember which it was , but neglected to ask myself and my bridal party. I was so disappointed because the store was so cute and seemed to have what I was looking for. also I told the lady my size and told her my taste . Once I got in the dressing room she preceded to try an put my in a dress , I have an hourglass shape so I suggested we go over my head as this was what had worked for me in the other stores, once putting it over my head it would not go down so I got stuck, I have an intense phobia of being stuck in clothes it sends me into a panic attack , I asked her what size the dress was she told me it was a 12 , I told her I was a size 16 ......... So she I guess got frustrated and left me in the dress alone in the dressing room having a panic attack and my bridesmaids had to come get me. Knowing how I am and that I was having a panic attack my bridesmaids suggested we leave , when the lady finally came back to get me they told her that we would be going . Her response , a snobby ok.... Nothing else she wasn't sorry she instead wanted to direct her attitude towards me. One last thing I did not like was when I was reserving my appointment she asked what other stores I was going to and bashed one of them. Very distasteful .
