Dr. Kales is a great guy but not too good of a podiatrist. When I came to the office the girls did…read moreall the work and they did it well. Very friendly and efficient. The doctor, Dr. Kales would step in for a minute and ask how you were and was friendly but that was it. He would leave the room after spending 2 minutes with you. Once he cut my toe and said if it got infected he would have to operate. He has a palsy in his head and his head shakes a lot poor guy. In my mind I said you're not doing any surgery on my feet. Much better Podiatrist is Dr. Jordan in Port Richey. I do believe this office is closed. I'm out front now looking at a space available sign.

Dr. Crook would be a better name. I went a month ago and the front office clerk informed me I had…read moreto meet a $500 deductible before my insurance would "kick in." I had to pay the full $165 charge on my credit card, even though I told her I knew they were in network and a specialist copay for me is $50. She lied and claimed to have called my insurance. I later called my insurance, who told me it should have been $50 and to call Dr. Kales office for a refund. I did, 3 weeks ago, and they assured me they would bill my insurance and issue me a refund in 3-6 weeks!!! Called today, and they have not even processed it yet! Billing manager said she would "look into it."!! At this point, I am disputing it with my credit card company to get my money back. This doctor just wants you to keep coming back to get as much money as possible out of you. Ended up going to an orthopedic specialist and am having surgery to correct my problem. Dr. Kales wanted me to get shoe inserts and a bunch of other stuff to string me along and take my money. I'm filing a grievance with the BBB. DO NOT GO HERE!! Should be 0 UPDATE: After about 5 months of disputing this with the insurance company and credit card, and filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, Dr. Kales so "graciously" refunded my $110 overcharge they should not have taken from me in the first place. I spent countless time on the phone over this matter, and their letter accompanying the check offered NO APOLOGY, but rather acted as though they had done the correct thing. WRONG. Instead, what they did was commit INSURANCE FRAUD. Again, stay away from this place at ALL COSTS!!

I went to this doctor about 7 years ago. He actually wanted to do his job back then. So when I…read moreinjured my foot a year and a half ago, I didn't hesitate to schedule an appointment. I had gone to the emergency room the prior evening and was told to follow up with a podiatrist. He came in briefly and told his office staff to take an x-ray of the side of my foot. The injured area were of my toes. He sold me an overpriced brace that cost over three times what it cost online. It did not support the injured part of my foot. Thankfully, my foot healed in its own. I figured that maybe he had a bad day and because his office is so close to my home, I decided to give him another chance when an issue with my foot came up a couple of months ago. I went in, almost unable to walk on my foot. Because my last visit with them was just a year and a half ago, they said my visit was considered a new patient visit. The office staff took my information, and the doctor rushed in again. He pressed on the side of my foot and asked if it hurt. Since it didn't hurt in that area and until I showed him which area caused extreme pain (enough pain to awaken me from a sound sleep), he said it was fine and again, sold me another brace - this time a blow-up one with a pump which does nothing except for carrying a higher cost. The brace itself did nothing to help, and I'll be finding a new podiatrist to schedule an appointment so that I may be properly treated. He seems to not care about patients who self-pay, even though I've readily paid him the hundreds of dollars that he charges for each visit. If you do decide to go to this doctor, bring your phone and compare the price of the brace or medicine that he will try to sell you with the price that a local or online retailer charges. And good luck.

Took my son to dr kales for an ingrown toenail. My son is 19 yrs old and has high functioning…read moreautism. I alerted the doctor of this and let him know to be very specific with my son as to the procedure. The minor surgery was completed and my son was scheduled for a recheck the next week. The 2nd week they dug into the same toe, "removing debris" they said. Then the 3rd appt then the 4th appt. After the 4th appt my son told them "yall better address my other toe on the 5th appointment or else im going somewhere else. Each appt they have collected a copay. When he went for his 5th appt they band him from the property because they claimed he threatened them when he said "or else". Yea! Or else he was going somewhere else!!!! Great bedside manner doc! Well guess what?! We will go somewhere else! Obviously this doctor is just grifting on copays. I've had my ingrown toenails removed and it was nothing like this horrible experience. I've seen people get their gall bladders removed that don't have 5 follow-ups. My son had NO complications and there was no reason for him to be mistreated like this. Stay away from this podiatrist because there's plenty of really good ones out there
