Wanted to rent a bunch of things from them for our celebration, talked on the phone, they said there is a minimum amount I have to rent to get it delivered to my address. 2 different people said it $4000, or 4 times cost from the delivery cost (which is $900). Then after I agreed and decided to go with them and sent a quote their project manager raised the minimum cost for $6000, which doesn't make sense. Absolutely would never recommend to anybody. Was never told that I had to set up any tables or chairs. On my wedding day no one ever explained an extra fee that we would have happily paid for to have everything set up! Then upon pickup they said we didn't stack the chairs well enough and the tables weren't stacked the right way. As if they left us a specific way to stack their stuff. So they're charging us a bunch of extra fees for not stacking correctly. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM, DONT DO IT! I was pretty impressed with their website, their pick up, and their convenient downtown location- with parking, I just wasn't blown away by the quality of the pop- up; the other folks around us had the same sort of tents an theirs were finely oiled, clean, and went up in a matter of minutes. One thing I found nice was that they actually made it a point to call me and let me know a few days prior that Sunday was going to be windy, so that I might not want to have my tent set up over night, as it might blow away. I needed to rent a tent. And fast! Alexander's Party Rentals really hooked it up. I got the tent, a bag of tools and rope to secure it to the ground, and handy dandy instructions. The tent was actually so simple to use that I didn't need instructions. But I certainly appreciated them! Upon driving up to their loading dock I was greeted by a really friendly employee who had my order all ready to pack up into my car. We shared some small talk, he asked about the reason I needed a tent and then sent me on my way. I had read that the tents may be somewhat dingy but found this tent to be pretty clean. Not sparkling white but far from dingy or filthy. The price was right too! I paid less than I'd expected. In their showrooms you get a sneak peak at some of the other rent-ables. This is the second time I've rented from Alexander for an event and each time it was just fine. I've always had wonderful customer service from everyone I've encountered there. Even though we made a rather last-minute request for chairs as our graduation party guest list kept growing, Alexander Party Rentals cheerfully accommodated us, and we drove down and loaded up our pick-up truck. While the staging rental was affordable & the staff was helpful, Alexander's handled drop-off and pick-up rather poorly for our event. We held an event on a Saturday evening, and agreed upon a Friday afternoon drop-off, then a Monday morning pick-up from the venue we rented. The venue manager was gracious enough to be available for the time slots on both days. On the Friday, I received a call from the delivery person at 11 am (I was told it would be between 1-5pm) saying they were at the venue and ready to set-up. Thankfully they agreed to come back during the agreed-upon time slot because no one was available yet. Then on the Monday, the venue manager waited there all day for the pick-up. Alexander's kept telling us there would be someone there in the next hour, but they never showed up. It wasn't until late Tuesday that finally the team came to pick-up the staging. I called Alexanders multiple times in this process, and while I understand there was some large event going on, this is unacceptable. The manager never returned my call, and no one could really give me a good reason for this major inconvenience to my team and our venue manager. Because of this, we will not be using them again. I've listed my feedback mainly because I hope they can improve their coordination and customer service in these matters in the future. read more

We rented a dance floor and string lights (large bulbs, not small Christmas-like bulbs) from Alexander Party Rental for our wedding reception. Of the rental companies our venue (Crystal Mountain Resort) recommended, we chose Alexander Party Rental because the customer service was excellent - they listened to our needs and responded well. When we were trying to decide on a size for our dance floor, they actually recommended that we size down (based on our room size, number of guests, and guest demographic), which made it clear that they were being honest and not just trying to sell us their product. I had a very specific image for how I wanted the lighting to be strung in the reception room - strung across the beams in a zigzag pattern across the room, with each zigzag of lights draping down slightly for an "outdoor cafe" feel. We never once met Denise, our main contact at Alexander Party Rental, but based on our phone and email communications, it was clear that she was extremely dedicated to making sure the deliverers achieved this image for me. On the wedding day, when my husband and I made our grand entrance into the reception room, we were overwhelmed by how beautiful the lights and all the room details were in person. After having spent months and countless hours poring over the details on paper, it was incredible and emotional to see it all come to life in 3D. read more

My needs were very simple, 30 white chairs for a garden party. Close by my work, so I could pick them up. They were 100% on it. The chairs were ready a day early, a staff person helped me load them. They were clean and in good condition. The paperwork was easy. Since I rented over the weekend, I was only charged for one day. Brought them back on Monday - apparently right as they were closing. I called several times to get a replacement rental or to see if someone could fix it. Nada! Plus, they never even bothered to give me a credit for the fryer that didn't work. Their rentals were in tip top shape which was a plus, however they forgot one of my items. The next day, one of their office employees made a special trip out which was appreciated. My daughters wedding was suppose to be perfect and it was except for the rental company we chose. Alexanders really let us down. We paid 135.00 extra to insure they would be there by 9am they arrived at 1130. The white chairs were dirty had drinks spilled on them from the previous party. They delivered the skirting but no clips so we could not skirt anything. Half of the table cloths were missing and 2 other items that were on our contract. We made a reservation for plates, silverware and glasses for our wedding in August. We were shorted 24 forks, which was over a quarter of the total forks we ordered!! My family realized this while the set up 2 hours prior to the wedding and had to scramble at the last minute and ended up having to purchase PLASTIC forks for my WEDDING, so that my guests didn't have to eat with their hands. We returned everything we rented except for one glass that was broken. I called on August 25th after our honeymoon and was told the silverware was being inventoried and I would hear back on the 28th. I did not hear back, I called back on September 2nd and spoke with Stephanie who said Alicia was handling this and still working on it and I would hear back. I waited a couple weeks and called again on September 17th and spoke with Bob who said inventory wouldn't be complete until the end of September and someone would call. Again, I did not hear anything back so called AGAIN on October 27th and spoke with Bob who said it is still "hanging out" and he would need to talk with his supervisor who was not there at that moment. He said that Alicia would call me back the next day. What a surprise when that didn't happen! I finally receive an email stating they are sorry for the inconvenience and they will refund me for the forks that they shorted. They don't seem to realize that they completely screwed up and instead were giving me a bunch of excuses. Horrible customer service!!!They can take their $10 refund and shove it!! read more

I rented a pop up tent, chairs, tables, linens, silverware, and china from Alexander's Party Rentals. The ordering process was very easy and the agents were very professional. I adjusted my order several times without any hassle or problems. When I arrived for pickup, they were out of the particular silverware I had reserved but offered me an upgraded one at no extra charge. The only thing that would have been helpful might have been to see a sample or photo of the tent prior to the event. The tent I ordered didn't quite fit on the back deck as I had planned. Our wedding was March 31, 2011. Alexander Party Rentals was by far the nicest table service vendor that I interviewed. They were also the least expensive and the most helpful. Because we didn't have a large guest list and didn't need a lot of items, they allowed us to pick everything up the day before our event and then return it the following day. Also, instead of requiring us to be the ones to pick the items up, they allowed us to have our planner pick up and return the items. That relieved a lot of stress because we didn't have to worry about how we were going to fit it into our day or worry about having to return it ourselves. They even allowed us to add a discount to our order after we had already booked their services because we had attended the Seattle Bridal Show where they had a special promotion going on. Really nice, since we were on a very tight budget. We give them 5 stars for quality of product and service. read more

A week before my April 30th wedding, I realized that we had not looked into renting a large coffee maker and ice tubs for beer. These were the only things we needed to rent and a quick search of the web and some handy 'yelp' reviews led me to Alexander Party Rentals. They were very quick to get back to me, ensuring that they had what I needed and confirmed the pick up times... so far, so good... On the morning of the wedding, one of our groomsmen picks up the tubs, and 2 coffee makers (one for hot water) and delivers them to our reception site into the capeable hands of my sisters good friend Jen who was running the 'reception show'. Its a good thing they didn't tell me about the rest of the story until the next day because I might have had a bridezilla melt down and so far, I had been the calmest bride to ever walk the isle! After following the detailed instructions 3 times, they still could not get the coffee makers to work... at all. Not even to warm the water... Jen even called APR to see if she was doing something wrong, but no answer, so as the time got closer to the reception starting and guests arriving, she was forced to drive to the local starbucks and buy 5 of their big hot ready to serve coffee boxes At $20 a box! So that we could have coffee at the reception! when I heard all of this, I called APR the next Monday morning and explained and asked for a refund of the money for the coffee makers since we had ended up spending 3 times more on coffee. The guy tells me that they would have to check them out before they could give me a refund. After 2 more calls like this, I gave up. Which is probably what thet were hoping for. Needless to say, I'll be going somewhere else and not reccomending them any other time I need rentals or someone asks me if I know of a place. If you rent from them, good luck, and ask for a refund policy written into your contract! Maybe that might help! read more

I couldn't have been more impressed with how everything looked for dinner once everything was put together. The linens were the best part! They have these beautiful deep red wrinkle linens (yes they are wrinkled on purpose - it's the look and it is fabulous!) that looked so sophisticated. I was also impressed by how the delivery staff quickly dealt with unexpected problems such as wet grass were the dance floor needed to be. They handled everything in a professional manner. I rented a carpet runner for my friends wedding. I have used Alexnders in the past and they aren't very friendly but have good product. I rolled the carpet up after the wedding, The bridal party was the only ones to walk on the carpet. My sister brought it back and they told her to pack at a loading dock and someone will come out and remove it from her car. They also said that she didn't need to do any paperwork. About an hour later I got a phone call that the rug was damaged. I know that it wasn't cause I rolled it up myself! The manager said that I had to pay $75 for it. He said that my sister gave the rug to some random person and just took off without doing any paper work. I know they were just filling my ear with lies. They charged me $83.86 for the damage and now I am disputting the charge cause I am not going to pay for someone elses mistake. I didn't damage it! They were very rude to me and my sister and do not have any customer service skills. I would think twice if you are going to rent from them. read more
