Today I had a cleaning and previously a deep cleaning and some fillings done. The reception staff are always kind and the dentist is thorough yet very efficient. She explains everything and unlike some competitors down the street she isnt a predatory dentist trying to upsell unnecessary services. She is keeping my teeth healthy and strong. Dr. Fatima Jelini is fantastic--she really takes the time to understand her patients' needs. Recently, I got a night guard for my teeth grinding, and it has made a huge difference. I just came back from a deep cleaning with Dr Jelini at Warner Dental Care and I am so happy with the level of care and service received. This was truly the best cleaning I have had. She was so thorough yet gentle, I didn't even need local anesthesia which I usually do with other dentists. (She did offer but I was good) She took her time and also it was a very educational session. I am a little embarrassed to say this but at 42 years old I didn't know how to floss properly. She asked me to show her how I did it and then corrected me and said most people don't know. The fact that she took all this extra time so i would know how to care for my dental hygiene at home is a testament to how dedicated she is to her job and patients. read more

I returned for folllow up care after a few weeks since my initial visit. And was once again very satisfied with the great service and care I received. There was no wait, Dr. Jelini found every route possible to save a tooth that wasn't filled properly by another dentist. She showed and explained to me in detail everything about the tooth and my gums. She even walked me through how to properly floss my teeth! All this time no dentist has every taught me how to properly floss! She also instructed me on preventative care at home. Dr. Jelini is truly one of kind and I'm very glad I came across her office. My previous dentist use to be Dr Minas, the last time I had come in for work was 2019. So when I returned in 2023, i was surprised to know that Dr Minas no longer worked at this location. That is when I met Dr Fatima Jelini, at first I was hesitant because of a new dentist. Rest assured, I was completely wrong, Dr Fatima Jelini, was wonderful, she took x-rays, stepped through the entire process with me showing me what was wrong and even stepped through worst case scenario with me, as to what to do if we arrived there. Long story short, I came back to do the work and was extremely nervous (naturally). Dr Fatima Jelini made me feel so comfortable, she would constantly ask me if I had any pain so that she can numb me more. Even during the procedure, she would pause explain what she was doing and finding. I could not ask for such a thoughtful kind dentist / person. She really really cares for her patients like family and I am not just saying that, I really mean it. I am excited to have her as my new Dentist. read more

Based on the other reviews about this place I thought that it was going to be a really good experience. Unfortunately after our first visit here this was not the case. My wife has been having problems with 2 of her teeth. After the dentist checked everything they told her that she would need 2 root canals, 1 full crown, 1 partial crown, and a deep cleaning treatment. This was not a shock to us as we knew that this would most likely be the outcome. Everything was going well until they gave us their "quote". The people in this office are complete SCAM ARTISTS!!! I have a detailed print out of what my dental plan covers and my calculations did not add up to the $1,765 (out of pocket) that was quoted to us for the work mentioned above. Oh and by the way, the $1,765 DID NOT include the 2 root canals!!! Everything that was quoted to my wife was a complete upcharge. The dentist chose everything that my plan didn't cover. A full porcelain crown was quoted to me at $450, when my plan for a metal crown is $120...why wasn't this option given to me??? Then I was quoted $475 for a partial porcelain crown. Call me crazy but how is a FULL porcelain crown $450 and a PARTIAL porcelain crown $475?!? I understand there have been medical issues with the metal crowns having mercury, however, this is a decision that we should make not a decision that should be forced upon the client. When I called the office I was told that the work to be done was a suggestion, however, they didn't give any "suggestions" for what my plan covered. The woman at the front desk was extrememly rude and all she could tell me was " I don't know what to tell you". Are you f****** kidding me?!? This place is a total rip off. I should have known better as this location is in Canoga Park. Whats pisses me off is when people try to take advantage of other people. There is nothing worse than when a mechanic, doctor, lawyer, dentists, etc. tries to rip the public off. We as none experts are at their mercy. I'm obviously not a dentist so we as clients TRUST professionlas to be honest with those who aren't experts. 2 root canals are obviously no joke and if I was clueless I would have paid $1,765 (once again not including the 2 root canals) right then and there for something that should cost a fraction of that... according to my coverage plan. This visit was the first and most certainly the LAST. It really is shame that these people conduct business the way that they do. SHAME ON YOU GUYS! read more

I've been taking my son here for a few years and never have been dissatisfied. I can only speak from my experience, but if you have children Dr.Mina is fabulous. My original review of Warner Dental would have been 5 stars. It takes a lot for me to trust a dentist, both with my mouth and my money. I've had nothing but horrible experiences at other dentist offices and at Warner Dental I felt great and at home, and safe. Until today. This is the second time in a year that my "permanent" crown has fallen off. I wasted over $800 in the past two years getting a root canal and a crown put on. Within 2 weeks I had to have it reattached. And now roughly a year later it has fallen off, again. I called another dentist office out of fear because I needed this handled immediately. I also left a message for Warner Dental as well. The new dentist called me back within 10 minutes of them being open. Warner Dental? Over 2 hours. I went to see the other dentist and Warner Dental never should have put a partial crown on someone who grinds their teeth! They are taking care of it for more than I care to pay tomorrow, but they are working with me. Warner Dental? I asked them when their next appointment was....... They can't see me til WEDNESDAY. Two whole days it will take to fix their mistake, which leaves me with a big gapping hole in my mouth and being unable to eat in the mean time. Apparently an emergency doesn't mean anything to these people. If you need basic teeth cleaning and never have any problems with your teeth, Warner Dental may be for you. But if you need actual work done - please, run. read more

Here's something you don't usually hear about a dentist: I have never experienced an instant of pain going to Dr. Minas and Warner Dental Care. I mean that in every way - no physical pain - I have never known a dentist so gentle - and no financial pain, since the staff goes out of their way to make sure their patients get the care they need and will do whatever they can to help them to afford it. They are also just plain good people, and know their patients and care about them and their lives, as well. As for most people I know, a trip to the dentist is not something I looked forward to, because of fear of pain & debt, & from personal past experiences. I've visited dental offices that felt more like a timeshare business trying to get a sale from me, than honest & caring professionals who were truly concerned in helping me with what my dental needs really were. Dr. Minas & his staff (Wendy, Kathy, & Kayla) are an exception to what I thought of dental businesses. Never did I feel like they were trying to convince me to spend money on things I didn't need. Initially, I was skeptical to ask questions about certain concerns I had, because, with other dentists, my curious inquiry turned into a pitch sale of some sort. I must've tired Dr. Minas w/all the questions I asked during my final visits, but he was always patient, thorough, & it never turned into "You need veneers" or any other sort of sales pitch. I never felt pressured by him like I have by other dentists. He was always gentle, explained his procedures before & during them, & would inquire about my comfort while working on my teeth. Before he'd get started with any procedure, he'd inquire about my day, which made me feel more like a patient than number/client...never felt rushed. His staff are very friendly & professional. Right when one walks in, you feel the friendly vibe. They remembered me each time I walked in. Never rude or callous. Needless to say, I actually enjoyed my trips to the dentist. The facility is very clean. I noticed that they would disinfect & sanitize the X-Ray vest, machines, seats immediately after each use....Very clean. Horrible. Do not go here. 1) Made an appointment because I needed my wisdom teeth removed, they suggested that a lot of other expensive work be done first. 2) I let them put a porcelain onlay on one tooth, which was a hassle because the mold for the first one needed to be redone. 3) I took time off work early to have it redone, only to be called the same day and told my appointment was canceled and I needed to reschedule. 4) My temporary had fallen off and I called immediately, they made me schedule an appointment when I should have been just taken in without one. 5) So I finally go in to have a second mold made and get a new temporary, and the dentist was very rude and i felt like she was rushing me out the door. She would ask "does this hurt" and roll her eyes when I say yes. 6) They called and told me my porcelain onlay was ready, and I scheduled an appointment which required me to request time off work. 7) They called me back again saying that my porcelain onlay was ready and I need to make an appointment. I told them I already have an appointment to have it done, told them the exact day and time, to which they replied that they are closed that day. Again I would have to request time off work for a new appointment. 8) So I arrive 15 minutes early for my appointment and end up waiting 90 minutes to be seen. I was literally walking out the door when the receptionist came into the lobby and called my name. Again, this place is horrible. Go somewhere else if you can. I just needed my wisdom teeth pulled because of the pain, and ended up waiting through two months of nonsense to have ONE onlay put in that i dont think i even needed, or it could have at least waited until later. I have since switched dentists and they gave me a same day appointment for the work I needed within a few hours, and even offered to call me if another appointment opened up sooner. :0) read more

They REFUSED to scale my teeth...even after I told them that every other dentist I have been to has told me that I have a periodontal condition that requires scaling to prevent any further gum disease. The wait times are very short, appointments are easy to get (and they are open on Saturdays!), and the staff always remembers me. I have been a patient of Warner Dental for approx 3 years...I loved the dentist I had for myself and kids. I am a single parent of 2 and I have one day off a week! I called a few months ago to make our cleaning appt at which time I was told MY dentist is now only there one or two days a week and of course not the day I am off..no written letter was sent introducing me to another dentist or any info on this new dentist that I DID NOT chose but now have to see...I had to cancel two appts due to a loss of a parent but SCOLDED by the rudest office employee I have ever talked to Last week I made appts for my son and myself for let's say 1pm. The RUDE office lady once again failed to mention that we will NOT be both seen at the same time and stated I should know that?! How am i supposed to know we won't be seen at the same time if no one told me?! I don't work in a dental office. My son and I have always had appointments at the same time and been seen at the same time. Of course, the amazingly rude office lady I believe her name is Wendy stated that I should know better I called today and attempted to make an appointment with the same route office lady yelling at me and forgot to put me on hold and was saying rude things to me to the office staff This is what I pay my insurance for???!!! I had a tentative time for a visit last week which I had to cancel but was again yet scolded by this 20-year-old. I have never been treated by an employee or office staff or anyone in my life the way she just treated me My daughter was supposed to go back to have teeth pulled and the same individual was supposed to gather information for my daughter and never did.
