Ordered thier 18 cut combination pizza with extra sauce and anchovies. Sauce and anchovies barely visible on pizza. Flavorless sauce and cuts are 2 finger width. Crust was bland as was overall pizza flavor. read more

So, I'm giving this crew four stars because their customer service was truly great, the pizza was pretty darn good, and they welcomed a group of 32 on a Sunday without hesitation or any problems... And yes...32! A mix of dads and moms and kids of varying ages from 8 to 15 following a trip to Seven Springs - they covered our post-mountain pizza fix and treated us right! New to the area and have driven past this place and always wanted to try it. Yesterday I went inside and was very pleased to see the Pittsburgh sports decor and cleanliness of the establishment. Great local spot for quality, fresh pizza. The buffet experience was very personal, with their team making pizza types at our request. I've also gotten delivery for hot wings and they were exactly as expected, hot and delicious. This is not your average local pie spot, it's definitely a step above. Wow... 2.5 hours for a pizza!! So at 6:30 pm we decided to order pizza from Alexander's Pizza. We had ordered there many times. We ordered delivery as it was cold and rainy, and we did not want to go out. Called, placed our order for a 28 cut pizza with 2 toppings at $20 ...deal! Yeah... We completed the order and were told that it would 'take around an hour or so'. That seemed rather extreme, but it was Monday after a holiday, so, yeah go ahead. An hour later we checked in on it...it should be there shortly. Okay. Called a half our later...driver is on his way! Okay. Two hours later...he should be there any minute. I explained that this was way beyond acceptable and that we had been told an hour...and it was over 2 already. They said 'you should not have been told that...' and the driver was on his way. 'Can we get credit or something for the long wait time?' 'No, we have been telling customers 1-1.5 hours at the earliest.' The pizza finally came 2.5 hours later. It was cold, the toppings were sparse and we were NOT happy. We had already paid and tipped, which we would NEVER have done had we known it was going to be this bad and this long to get a bad pizza. Guess Mad Pies will be getting our business from now on. Sad!! read more

Ordered take-out from here, as we have a camp nearby and wanted the convenience of take-out compared to cooking after a long drive and a long week at work. Read good reviews, so we were excited to check this place out. We didn't try the pizza, but we did try their jalapeno poppers, buffalo chicken salad, and Italian hoagie. 20 minute drive to camp later, we take the food out and see that nearly everything was wrong. We asked for mayo on the side for the Italian hoagie. No mayo, but we received Italian dressing. I asked for the dressing on the side for the salad- I received the ranch on the side, but the buffalo sauce was on the salad. I'm not kidding, it was a soup by the time I tried to eat it. It was smothered in dressing. Not pleasant, and quite frankly I had to throw it away. The jalapeno poppers are filled with cream cheese- first time I have ever came across that at a pizza shop (most of the time they are filled with cheddar cheese). That was an oversight on my part, though. Overall, I want to say this was a really bad first experience at this place. I would be willing to go back and give them another try on the pizza, but I would never order take-out without checking my bag again. read more

Met family here for a Father's Day meal. Well we ended up being quite a group. The staff explained that they had the back room reserved for a party but they quickly put together tables in their front room for our group. We got burgers and chef's salad from there with my 93 year old parents. Take out. We all loved the salad and they all loved their hamburg. I didn't get a burger, so can't comment except to say they really liked them. If we were closer we would go there to eat!! As it is, I'll still go get their chef's salad and take it home.
