They deserve a bigger parking lot and more customers but either way, they're doing it right here. I got the "fiesta" which was a fried tortilla bowl containing mixed greens, pico de gallo, avocado, corn salsa, cheese, grilled chicken and homemade ranch for $16. Very worth it. And I'm glad I did. Everything was excellent. The outdoor seating was nice, the workers were friendly, my waitress Jae was very attentive, and most importantly, the fish sandwich was top notch. It certainly seemed to be freshly made and not frozen. I ordered fries on the side in addition to Cole slaw. The slaw was nice and creamy. While I generally don't like battered fries, these were pretty tasty. The only slight negative was the cost. At almost $30 for my sandwich plus a beer, it seemed a little pricey to me. What a jewel in Mount Pleasant. We decided on an appetizer of Big Ka-Tuna. A delicious sushi grade ahi tuna steak seared and served with a wasabi and soy glaze with seaweed salad and pickled ginger. Very tasty! Next, we asked our wonderful server Joyce for two mushroom/swiss burgers served with fries. These burgers were prepared perfectly with seasonings and burger temperatures and included a lot of mushrooms. These burgers restaurant has a cool vibe with and old gas station feel. First time in this restaurant. We were greated fast and with a big smile. I asked what the server recommended and she gave me three of her favorites. I ordered thevturkey panini. It was excellent. Made with love. My boyfriend got the macaroni and cheese with pulled pork. He loved it. Said it was very tender. I asked to see the cook who happened to be Brandon the owner. Full disclosure...my only complaint is that sometimes parking can be tricky. They have I think what may be 100+ different beers. Great menu and a lot of variety. The buffalo sauce was incredible and the chicken was juicy and fresh. The bleu cheese crumbles paired really well with the flavors as well. The fresh brioche bun held everything together. Order: panini, salad with fried chicken strips, chicken and veggies with balsamic glaze. The customer service over the phone was horrendous. I understand that when working, you can get tired. But the lady who answered the phone sounded like she was annoyed and two seconds from quitting. It was off putting but this restaurant had the best ratings the area so it was decided to at least give it a shot. The customer service once inside was a lot better. My order was ready and there was no long wait. The panini look good. Then I noticed the strangely crispy green item coming from it. Dried arugula maybe? I tasted the sandwich, it was mediocre. The fries were good. Little did I know the m fries were the best item ordered. The salad was ok. The dressing was oil based and nearly 95% oil. Someone must have forgotten the vinegar. There was some seasoning in the dressing but not enough to be perceptible. I basically poured pure oil over my salad. The chicken strips on the salad looked good but were also flavorless and smelled like someone smoked a cigarette over them. The grilled chicken with the glaze was also flavorless. It seems the intention was for the glaze to flavor the meat versus seasoning and/or marinating the meat. It also smelled like a cigarette was smoked over it. The veggies were soggy and did not have any seasoning on them. The few veggies that accidentally encountered the balsamic glaze were edible. We were visiting out of town and decided to drive 6.5 miles from our hotel and it was absolutely worth it. The town was very cute. Our table had the smothered steak sandwich, steak and shrimp fajitas, fried zucchini for an appetizer and great drink mixes plus a huge selection of beers you can even bring home. We sat inside but they also have a small patio area. I wish we tried the desserts. If I had to complain one thing, is the parking was tight. You would likely have to park on the roadside in town.
