Let me start with I wouldn't send my dog to Dr Alfieri. He is rude, nasty and condescending. He walked in the office and told my husband I see you brought your mother. I visited him for vein reflux and was told it wouldn't work because of my genetics (being overweight) . He proceeded to tell me to use Ozempic when I explained that I had used it and because I have Barrettes esophagus it made me extremely sick, he told me I didn't try hard enough and was lazy then I explained my Gastroenterologist told me I cannot use it. Dr Alfieri proceeded to tell me that the doctor doesn't know what he was talking about. I told him I was offended and he continued to tell me that I chose all the wrong doctors and should use his office for everything. I would rather die without a doctor than go to him. Should you choose to use him I warn you proceed with caution and NEVER let him do any procedures in his office because I was told that that is the easiest way to get blood clots. Would give it a no star if I could. Note: this review dates back to 2020, but I had to delete because I worked in an Alfieri-owned building for awhile, so I deleted it. My mom went to the Foulk rd location but had to come here for a stress test. They kicked me out during the pandemic despite me being her interpreter. Told me they can get their own via their app. I was already on the highway when they called me and said they couldn't get one for her language, called me again when I was home in Wilmington to help interpret. That's when i heard inappropriate attitudes/behavior in the background. Sighing and laughing at my mom's "grandma bag". A few days later my mom was in tears telling me what happened. After her test, the tech ripped the leads off her from across the room. When my mom tried to point out that she missed a few, the tech told her to get it herself. I wrote a review on yelp (which I also deleted but will put it back up) and someone reached out to me (I still have the message as proof) with a name and number to call to report the mess. I followed through on my end but nothing happened. My point of contact ended up "leaving" according to the front desk. If you're a colored person who dont speak english, stay away or don't bring your non-English speaking family member here. God knows what they're saying or doing behind closed doors. read more

I seriously wish I had done my due diligence and done more research before meeting with Dr. Alfieri for my spider veins and minor varicose veins. First of all, he's not a vascular doctor and therefore he shouldn't be doing vascular procedures (like spider/varicose vein treatment) on anyone! One of my colleagues gave me a great piece of advice, which in hindsight I sincerely wish I had listened to. She said "You wouldn't call an electrician for a plumbing problem at your home. So why would you call a heart doctor for a varicose vein problem?" It certainly makes sense to me now! Nevertheless I went ahead and had my varicose vein procedure done with Dr. Alfieri, which was an absolute nightmare right from the beginning! He was extremely unprofessional with his language. He spent the majority of the procedure talking small talk with my husband who was also in the room. Dr. Alfieri should have instead been focusing on me and where exactly he was sticking his needle into my leg. Throughout my procedure my husband and I both could sense that things were not going correctly, based on the communication we observed between Dr. Alfieri and his ultrasound technician in the room. I experienced a great deal of excruciating pain during the procedure, immediately afterwards while walking to my car in the parking lot and for weeks and now months after the procedure. My leg looks 10 times worse now compared to how it looked like before Dr. Alfieri touched my leg. I have permanent scarring and numbness in my leg now. My hunch tells me a few things: #1) This is probably not an isolated incident with just me. #2) My spider/varicose veins were probably never even bad enough to justify having this vein procedure done. #3) Dr. Alfieri probably suggested the procedure to me just so he could bill my insurance company even though it wasn't medically necessary. And now here I am, left to live with the consequences of a botched and unncessary procedure. read more

RUN away from this doctor as fast a you can because you won't be able to run if you let him treat you!!! I purchased a Groupon for sclerotherapy and when I went for the treatment, I was told I neededa consult with a doctor. Anthony Alfieri examined me and told me that the sclerotherapy wouldn't help at all unless I first had vein reflux surgery. A technician performed a vein study at his Newark office and I later had very expensive reflux surgeries on both legs which resulted in more pain, more swelling and less blood flow than prior to the surgeries. Additionally, the sclerotherapy that he did, was rushed, careless and sloppy and my spider veins are 100% worse than before. I scheduled 2 follow up appointments with him about the problems I was having but all he did was dismiss me, ignore me and show me his abs (that's right, the height of unprofessionalism). Later I received bills for the follow-up visits and nothing was every resolved. There are tons of similar stories on the internet about this "Doctor" and a nurse practitioner friend says he is In known as "The Worst of the Worst". His brother who is reputable has cut professional ties with him... and that is very telling. read more

I went to Dr. Anthony Alfieri to see if he could make my awful spider veins go away. Guess what, he was awesome. They are practically invisible! There was only a slight amount of pain involved, and it was so quick! I recommend making an appointment right away! Not expensive at all. read more
