I had cans left full on multiple occasions due to driver's discretion because they don't haul certain items but they weren't listed on their no pick-up items and was told I should just know. Then caught their employee trespassing onto my property and urinating in my front yard. Contacted them and their initial response was to put a note on my account for their employees not to do that. After back and forth with the "owner", it was obvious she wasn't taking the issue seriously and stated at least he went behind a tree. It would seem they don't provide appropriate working conditions for their employees that they would then try and make me feel I'm the bad guy for not being okay with them turning my front yard into an employee toilet. read more

I used this company for 3 years and recently had several issues. I used their 3-yard dumpster and paid around $120.00 per month. I strongly warn people against Alford Services and encourage everyone to choose a different trash company. This company caused damage to my property (broke a wooden flower bed) with their trash truck. I emailed them and didn't hear back for several weeks. When I called them, they told me they would have one of their guys come out to fix it. After 2.5 months they kept telling me they would send their guy out to repair my flower bed but it sill wasn't getting done. I called them and told them that if they weren't able to fix it then I would have to find someone to do it - they pleaded for 1 more week, to which I said ok. I gave them 2 more weeks before I called someone out and had it done. When I sent them the receipt for the repair, I asked them if they would like to reimburse me or add a credit to my account. After this, they have refused to communicate with me - I have emailed, called 3 times and left 2 messages. Their attitude was entirely lackadaisical and unprofessional. I was calm, patient, and respectful with them the entire time but I eventually had to pay someone to come restore my broken flower bed because they never made it out here. I gave them a chance to make things right and was at first willing to continue with their service. On my last email, I did mention that I was shocked at how little they cared about this issue and would be looking for another service. Within 2 days of that message they came to take back their dumpster from my property without any notice to me at all! There has been no response to my damaged property and they think it is ok to cancel my service without notice. Probably one of the worst people I have had to deal with professionally. I was thrilled to find a recycling company. Paid an extra 15 a month for it. Come to find out they just take it to the dump. That's fraud. And I got a load of nasty from Debbie Alford, who insisted they picked up from me on Mondays. It had been Thursdays since the get go. She didn't even know that. Didn't check, nothing. Rude!! Find someone else and drive your recycling to McKinney. There's a place by the airport that really does manage your recycling responsibly!!!! read more

I am not sure why some people are giving this company so many bad reviews. I have been using them for roughly 5 to 6 years and I have never had a bad experience. There have been times I needed some extra items hauled off and is all I had to do was call or email the office. The lady in the office has always been very nice and quick to respond. We have been very pleased with our trash service. When we moved to a neighborhood without city services, Alford was extremely easy to work with, picked up all our moving boxes, and even offered to pick up extra trash if needed that wouldn't fit in the bin. This is a great company. I had extra trash one day, they picked it all up. I am very pleased with my service!!!!

If I could give them no stars I would. Terrible service, trash has been left all over the yard, not all trash picked up, or no trash at all picked up, and constant issues with billing. Rarely ever received a bill, Cindy Alford has on more than one occasion taken it upon herself to charge our credit card with out permission. She would skip months at a time and take out 2 months at a time. Or take out a month in advance. Picked up our trash cans after we have paid service and returned after trash day. We have canceled service with them, they have not picked up trash, or their cans in a month, and we just had an unauthorized debit from our bank account by them. Terrible service. Was really sad to hear that we have to switch to city water, sewage and trash services. Alford Services out of Gunter Texas is simply put, a great great company. They were always on time and if the guys saw you struggling to get stuff to the curb they were willing to help. Really going to miss them but I wish them the best. Thank you Alford!! read more

I was shocked to see the bad reviews. Since my inception of services 3 years ago with Alford Services, trash pick-ups have been as scheduled and have NEVER had an issue with billing or pick-up. The lady on the phone is always super friendly when I call to give a new credit card number for auto-billing, and they still send the invoice via email every month on schedule. I'm sure they have improved there services from all the previous mishaps with other clients, which is what any small business should do. From my experience, I am pleased and would recommend them. read more

Top notch customer service! I love that I call and an actual person answers the phone right away. They are always friendly and helpful. We have forgotten to take our garbage cans to the road or had extra with our pick up and every time they have helped us out. Highly recommend Alford Services! read more

Paid a year in advance then couldn't get them to return my phone calls. Took 3 weeks for them to move the dumpster when I moved though I gave 3 weeks advance notice. I called 2 weeks before year service was up to renew, they called back two weeks later and said they were no longer offering service in my area and would pick up the dumpster tomorrow leaving me high and dry. read more
