    They have great reviews, insurance, and seemed to be responsive when scheduling. I think they'd do a good job but be weary if you're on a strict schedule. I think it's unacceptable to a 1. Attempt to reschedule with less than 24 hr notice. 2. Accept a move given the dimensions to then decline 2 hours before the scheduled time. Positives 1. Price was fair 2. They are insured 3. Communication via email and phone was OK for scheduling I was really hopeful to use this company to move items from a window warehouse to my house. This was a very important move- items were large glass doors and pretty pricey. This company was aware of the dimensions and accepted the move for Saturday 1-3pm on Wednesday that week. They were very responsive and felt promising that they would do a great job- we confirmed our move on Wednesday and again on Friday at 11am. However, later in the afternoon on Friday around 2:30pm they called stating they needed to reschedule for Monday giving us less than 24 hours notice. They said they'd callback Friday evening to see if they could still do our move Saturday afternoon but they never called. We assumed it was just rescheduled since they never called back, however, Kent did go to the warehouse to view the doors Saturday at 11am only two hours before our scheduled window for the move to then state that they would not fit in the truck. I find this odd since Wednesday they were given the dimensions of the window and they accepted/ confirmed that their truck was big enough.

    Unsafe covid practices, expensive and exhausting experience. I will be writing an in depth detailed summary of my experience with this company once I've settled my bill with them and finish my move with another company. After a horrific 9 hour 2 bedroom apartment incomplete move, I refused to pay the entire amount due. Don't get me wrong. I will pay and expect nothing for free, but I will only pay what is reasonably fair. I understand that moves often take much longer than expected but I never imagined a two bedroom apartment taking 9 hours. Only to be incomplete. Their side of the story is that I had oversized furniture and a glass cabinet that was difficult to move. No, you sent a team that was unprepared. After explaining my stance on this DURING the move, they communicated that if i refused to pay, they would send police. That was the last straw. I called after 3 hours into the move to request help. Operations manager never followed up. What happened to customer service? More on that and a detailed timeline on my experience with this company. The next part means more to me than any amount of money I pay this company. I felt it was timely and critical to inform anyone looking for movers that the movers did not comply to wearing masks (after I asked three times). Only one of three men complied but often had his nose exposed. Not only upon arrival did they take off their masks, but didn't wear them in a building that houses senior citizens. I made it VERY clear that they needed to keep their masks on. As someone that routinely sees my extreme at risk parent, I find it disgraceful that despite the terrible experience I had, the worst part is any potential exposure to covid 19. Please consider another mover that offers a safe experience for you and your family. As a side note, the only time I took off my mask was when I went on my patio or used the restroom. Update: operations charged my card for the entire amount without my consent. I never signed the contract. Was told that they would deduct hours off of my move if i would delete this review. I refused and was accused of wanting a free move. I always agreed to pay when we came to a fair amount. Will update review with photos once i get videos from apartment.

    This review is a month overdue, but so well deserved! Stop your search if you're looking for a mover - this is the company to go with. From the very beginning, Joe was very knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. He helped me understand the needs of my move, answered all my questions even when it came to storage on the other end, and was so flexible with all the changes due to the snow storm. One thing I really value is companies that treat their employees right and I was happy to see they would not risk their employees' safety to stay on schedule during the freezing storm. The moving team was made up of Luis P, Luis L. and Felix. They were fantastic! Luis L. Was the crew lead and clearly took a lot of pride in his work- he has former experience delivering with high-end furniture stores in Dallas. They were super careful with all of my belongings and I was amazed by how they loaded everything into the moving truck. We even passed them on the highway and we were so happy to see how carefully they were driving - we left a good while after them and know they didn't expect to see us. Price-wise, they were very fair. I received quotes from other companies and this was the most reasonable and clear quote I received. Other quotes were confusing, had additional add-ons in terms of possible fees, and I was unsure what I would pay in the end. This was a long distance move from Dallas to San Antonio and I really value that I understood exactly what I was getting into. I really wish I could hire this team in San Antonio for my next move!

    Professional, courteous and friendly movers. Great guys overall. Docked 1 star due to damages to the furniture. Andres, Indio, Pedro Edit: I Reduced more stars due to discovering more severe damages to my furniture while unpacking after movers left. The movers tried their best to consider avoiding any damages to the furniture but their packing methods were lacking. I regrettably should have said something when I saw some of their methodologies but didn't want to be that guy that told them how to do their job. Since they are the professionals, I trusted they knew what they were doing. A few examples: The dents and scratches to my trashcan were caused by them placing their dolly on top of it in the truck. A trashcan might not sound like a big deal but we invested in a more premium one to use as an accent furniture piece, therefore these damages ultimately reduces it's decorative appeal. The most heartbreaking damages are the tears on my headboard leather. My bed is one of my most valuable pieces of furniture and I ensured to inform the movers of that. Unfortunately this did not prevent the damages. I can overlook the small scratches and dents to the wooden parts of the bed but tears to the leather need to be called out. The scrapes, dents and white powder covering my cabinet was caused by them flipping it upside down while moving it. They clarified with me if the cabinet was full and I informed them that yes it was full. By flipping the cabinet upside down, the baking soda inside spilled all over it and also caused the top edges to be scraped. There were more damages but I only shared these three to avoid writing a review more lengthy than it already is and still get the message across. Conclusion: It pains me to write this review since the movers worked so hard and I really appreciated their positive personalities but the company owners and other shoppers need to understand the company's areas of opportunities through honest reviews.

Omar filled in the details of the job to get us the right crew, and got us scheduled for the very next morning. Lorenzo and his team showed up early, communicated clearly, and holy wow did they work fast. In less than 90 minutes they moved what took our team 6 hours to do. AND they moved a fireproof safe by hand, with sheet strength and a good knowledge of physics. The cherry on top is the value - super-fair, plus a discount for booking through Yelp. Need anything moved, call them!

This business needs to outline their terms better if spots are not able to be reserved (which is standard by the way or companies clearly state in terms that they don't honor them). I said I was there at 2am and waited for a bit in line but ultimately had to leave for a bit to then return only to be yelled at by the owner and told I don't have to shop the sale if I don't like it. The owner refused to even hear my side at all and decided to listen to a group of individuals side instead. Typically if there is an issue, the patrons shopping can handle it amongst themselves without the company involvement, especially if in the terms it doesn't specify that spots can't be reserved. I also stated that I was going to text, but due to the hour I was there in line, I didn't want to send it because of how late it was. Again owner didn't actually listen to me or attempt to get my side before joining the mob against me. Poor customer service, I don't need to use the actual service to know that. Part of your job is hosting a sale effectively and showing customer service because ultimately we are also customers buying the items you place out. The owner is extremely unprofessional. Maybe you should update your terms correctly and ensure their are no gaps in it. I clearly stated I never save spots and am one to sit outside for hours but my circumstances for that day didn't allow me to do so. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.
