I initially assumed it was just part of the healing process, but at my post-op appointment, I found out that the doctor fractured my cusp during the extraction. Instead of taking responsibility, the dentist tried to play it off, asking if I had been chewing on something hard--when in reality, I was barely able to eat soft foods due to the pain. This kind of dishonesty and lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially when it comes to dental care. I trusted this office with my procedure, but now I have to deal with additional damage that wasn't disclosed to me. Very disappointing experience. The X-Ray is proof that it was not like that prior to the procedure.

I knew a lot of people who had theirs taken out with him and all had good things to say, he's known for comparatively low swelling and minimal discomfort. For me, the surgery went smoothly and the office is very clean and sophisticated. They sent me home with clear instructions and ice packs. After, I had irritation/discomfort when chewing for longer than was expected (about 10 days) so I gave them a call and went back in. It turns out I had an unusual reaction and had some extra sensitively, without hesitation they made time to bring me back in and treat me - sure enough I was back to normal a day or two after that.

Each time the level of service was top notch. To begin, his entire office staff is very warm, helpful, and accommodating. In my experience with other Doctors offices in Miami it's rare to find a good staff. Sometimes you find offices with a great Dr. but a lousy staff or vice versa, a great staff but lousy doctor. In this case they were both excellent. They don't overbook patients, so you won't find yourself in the waiting room forever. The staff managed my entire insurance process and called in my prescriptions. The office is well located in South Miami close to Sunset (72nd ST) and US1. Regarding the implant surgery, in my case there was a very narrow space for incision. However, Dr. Lane meticulously and precisely performed the procedure. Aside from the smooth surgery, he actually personally called me the same night to check up on me. (He also did this before when my wisdom teeth were removed.) How many doctors do this nowadays??? About 8 years ago I went to a recommended dentist in NY on Park Ave. Fancy place, had a filling that lead to root canal few months later and completely traumatized me. So after that traumatic experience I decided not to get a crown on that tooth. Mind it's the last back tooth that I chew with on the right side. So forward 8 years. Surprised it lasted this long as I chew gum sometimes.... I felt like something cracked but couldn't put my finger on it. Looked in the mirror and saw that back part of that tooth broke off. OMG, no insurance and as more days passed I started to feel pain there. At that point I didn't even know if tooth can be saved but the fear of putting the crown there took over because I have super sensitive gums. I remembered reading a few years ago that there are new type of crowns where they can be made the same day. So I started doing research on Google and found out that the name of it is CERIC crown. So here I am doing research on the price and every where I call it's super expensive. I came across this dental office website offering the crown for $1k and I couldn't believe it. Made an appoint, which they where super flexible. Took X-ray of the tooth before and after. The Dr. heard me loud and clear about my sensitive gums. Let me tell you. Once he was done, it was like my own original tooth was there. It didn't feel off, other then a bit of sensitivity on my gums for one day. I didn't even need time to adjust to it. If you need a crown and an honest dentist, this is your guy. The place is clean and operates very efficiently. And they didn't charge me extra for the X-rays on the tooth as most dentists would.
