I recently visited a SmileGeneration office in my current town, Dentists of Port Charlotte, I was initially excited because I was hoping for similar service from a product of the same company. Unfortunately, they did not even come close to meeting any level of quality. I miss South Kendall Dentistry. I highly recommend that office to anyone in the Kendall area of Miami. I feel like finding quality dentists is a challenge no matter where you live, but South Kendall Dentistry does not disappoint.

They took my phone call and after explaining my situation told me to come in asap and that a doctor would see me quickly. And that as long as the doctor agreed the procedure could be done same day! I went did some X-rays, was walked through insurance issues and quickly resolved them and before I know it the staff explained the procedure and got it started. They worked quickly and carefully and had me out within 3 or so hours of arrival. That includes new patient paperwork, insurance confirmation, X-rays, doctor's examination and procedure! 10/10 would recommend!

I had 2 wisdom teeth removed and from the first time I met her she was extremely rude without so much as a hello or a smile and always in a hurry. Since it was a very routine and simple extraction and I figured I only had to see her twice (once to remove and once for a followup) I decided it didn't matter that she was rude and impersonal and went forward with the surgery. BIG MISTAKE. I opted to stay awake for surgery and she was so rough and brutal throughout the entire procedure. She was in such a rush she did not wait the appropriate amount of time between injecting me with the anesthesia and starting the surgery so it did not have time to set in. I would yelp in pain as there were areas that were not numb and she ignored me the entire time and proceeded as if nothing. It was a terrible experience and I left traumatized. I was excessively swollen because of how rough she was. Once swelling went down I noticed a pea sized ball on my cheek which I brought up in my post op check up and she quickly dismissed me without a second thought. She barely glanced at me and quickly sent me on my way. Another week goes by and the pea sized ball has turned into a marble sized ball and co-workers are starting to ask me what happened to my cheek. I make another appointment and she begrudgingly takes x-rays after I insist and barely glances at them before she says my body is just taking more time to heal and basically makes me out to be a hypochondriac. Another few weeks go by and we are now a month and a half post surgery and I still have a ball on my cheek. At this point I demand to see another doctor after office tries to give me run around. I see another doctor who looks at the same x-rays and immediately notices a piece of my tooth was left inside my gums! He is in shock as he says it is very obvious in the x-ray and he does not understand how she could have missed it. It is now badly infected and I need emergency surgery! Thanks to the incompetence and negligence of "Dr." Saenz I had to get a second wisdom tooth surgery!! What a difference with a doctor that actually knows what they are doing and cares about patients comfort. He was so gentle and constantly asking me if I felt pain and adjusted accordingly. It was a completely different experience and not scary at all. I hardly had any swelling after. There is no excuse for the care or lack of care I received from this doctor. Leaving a piece of tooth in a patient and then not catching it in 2 follow up visits where the patient is complaining and telling you there is something wrong is inexcusable! Her license should have been revoked years ago. Please heed this warning and steer clear of her!

So as I'm sitting here in the waiting room memories of the pain I sat through when I first came in…read morejust a week ago flood my head. I, admittedly, came in last week with agonizing pain. It figures after making an appointment the same day, the front desk made sure to fit me in and have me checked out within minutes of my arrival. It was my wisdom teeth and an infection thankfully Dr. Perez and his staff were incredible! They prescribed me antibiotics and anti inflammatory the same day. They didn't want to see me in pain and literally made an appointment for me the next day thanks to their front desk Elyanna making my comfort a priority if it hadn't been for her asking me how much pain I was in and seeing if I could get my surgery the next day I would've probably still be in pain as i write this. Anyways she not also did that but she went ahead and called my insurance to see if she could help me out with anything else and she finds out I get two free cleaning a year here. Dr. Perez made me feel at home and spoke me through everything took his time with me and made sure I was comfortable and not in pain and being in the hospitality industry this means the world to me. STAY AWAY FROM THAT PRACTICE. I was attended by Dr. Bove and her team about 2 years ago. I had some…read morediscomfort in my back teeth. She immediately indicated that I needed two crowns. She seemed professional and I committed the mistake of accepting her recommendation and going on with the procedure at once. Unfortunately, most of the procedures were performed by the junior dentists that worked for her, whom were clearly not up to the task. The procedure was painful and clumsily performed (more to come). After the crowns were in place, my bite never was the same, the way in which the crowns were settled, affected my lower back teeth, with resulting pain and continuous discomfort. I had to go two more times to try to grind and adjust the crowns; they keep insisting that the crowns should be fine and the discomfort would go away - it never happened. They also made for me a mouthpiece that I should use in the night (another $400!); I was later informed by another dentist that it was not necessary. After the procedure I was never comfortable eating from my left side. Recently, I visited another dentist (never again to Dr. Bove!) and they indicated that one of the crowns was infiltrated and needed to be replaced; this time I asked for a second opinion, which confirmed the diagnosis; they were surprised that the crowns were put in place less than two years ago. Once the crowns were replaced and properly fitted by a good practitioner, my bite felt comfortable for first time in two years and I can finally eat using my left back teeth. I strongly recommend avoiding Dr. Bove's practice since they showed utter disregard for the patient's wellbeing and lots of regard for his dollars. It is remarkable how a bad dentistry procedure affected my quality of life. I hope this review spares other people of the bad experience I went through.

I recently removed my wisdom teeth with Dr.Escofet and had a speedy recovery. The first day I went and got evaluated, we spent around 2 hours talking with the Doctor 1 on 1 because I had many questions and he took his time to answer all of them. I didn't feel rushed as I usually do in other doctor's offices. I was nervous for the procedure but I was constantly checked up on and knew I was in good hands. Everything was explained to me to the point that I felt calm and knew what was going to happen next. I would recommend him to anyone! Never have a I met someone who cared so much about his patients. He is patient and kind. His staff is the kind that remember your name and your stories. I will be coming back regularly even though it is 30 mins away from my house. It is worth it! Great staff and great doctor! Now my family is going to be seen with him as well. Best doctor and he sees children as well!
