Paper Plane - The Loft - Lychee martini (tastes heavily like pineapple)

I'm almost always in the mood for Thai food, so when my coworker asked if I'd be interested in…read morePaper Plane for an offsite lunch, the answer was an automatic YES. Paper Plane is a really cool spot not too far from the airport. The restaurant itself is spacious and seems like it could comfortably accommodate everything from a solo lunch or small group to a pretty large party. The staff was incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived--just good energy all around. For starters, we ordered the potstickers and coconut shrimp. And really... can you ever go wrong with coconut shrimp? Both were a great way to start the meal. For our entrées, my friend ordered the Pad Kee Mao at medium spice, while I went with the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. Mine absolutely hit the spot, but I will admit I was looking over at those noodles because they looked GOOD. And apparently I wasn't done being nosy because I also spotted the crab meat fried rice on another table nearby, so now I already have at least two things on my list to try when I come back. Of course, let's discuss parking! Parking is free, but the lot can be a little tight. If you're coming with a larger group, I'd personally recommend carpooling if possible just to make things easier. Overall, Paper Plane delivered exactly what I wanted from an offsite lunch: great food, welcoming service, plenty of space, and an atmosphere that made it easy to sit back and enjoy ourselves. I'll definitely be returning--and next time, somebody else's plate won't have to tell me what to order.

What a fantastic space! I came early for an event to check…read moreout the space and grab some food. I ordered a pizza at the counter and a beer. Service was very fast. They texted me and called my name over a loudspeaker when my pizza was ready. The space is enormous both inside and out and you can definitely hear your name called no matter where you are. The beer was crisp and delicious. I also ordered a bourbon berry cocktail after the event and it was perfectly balanced. The event space was great. It's quite spacious with a lot of standing room and plenty of chairs. There were bars on either side of the event space, one with only canned drinks and another with drinks on tap. When the event was over, enormous garage style doors were opened in order to make for easy exit of a lot of people. Every staff member that I encountered Was incredibly kind and patient. As someone who travels solo often, I appreciated that the bartender did not bat an eye or question me when I asked to leave my drink with them to go pick up my pizza. There is a ton of parking on the backside, which gives you two free hours. Extra hours are quite inexpensive. There is also access to the beltline on the front side of the brewery. There are multiple other breweries and restaurants, including a food hall within the same parking. You really could spend an afternoon/evening here. I love this space and I'm glad that an event brought me here. I will most definitely return with friends.

I was pleasantly surprised by this spot! I read reviews prior to making the decision to check this…read morespot out. For the most part, people seemed to enjoy it so I was convinced I should check it out. The restaurant is located inside of the Hilton airport Hotel. There is a secure parking lot that requires you to pull a ticket when you enter. The restaurant will validate the parking ticket for you ! When I walked in I was greeted by a staff member and seated immediately. Shortly after I was seated my wait staff came over and introduced herself. She took my drink order and said she would allow me time to look over the menu. I asked my wait staff her thoughts on the Mac and cheese. I am picky about eating Mac and cheese from places. Most don't know how to make real Mac & cheese ( if you know what I mean)! She told me it was pretty solid. - As such I ordered the following: Crab bisque Smoked chicken wing plate served with two sides: Mac & cheeses and asparagus were my picks! The crab bisque did take a long time to come out. It was so delayed that my main course came out shortly after the soup. It was not ideal, but I made it work! The crab bisque was solid. I would order it again. The wing plate also exceeded my expectations! I was impressed with the mac and cheese. The asparagus were large, which was concerning to me! Like how did they get so big? Steroids? Nonetheless, they were cooked to perfection! I did get the banana pudding to go- this was the only item I would not order again! It was basic and I only took a few bites and ended up trashing it . Overall I would reconned this spot! Service was spot on- and for a hotel restaurant the food is pretty good!

Dinner was decent, the brisket was tender and their bbq sauce was tasty... their peach cobbler was a bit lacking... crusty was over battered and doughy to the point of almost being raw... very underwhelming to end a decent meals... breakfast service was non existent and coffee was rancid. They charged tip automatically and it made me feel like they forced me to pay for service I did not received. Not a great way to keep costumers... maybe that's why only hotel guests are forced to eat here... The lobby area and bar was well decorated and had a great ambience. But that's all it has... hotel lobby aesthetics :(
