My ceremony was at the nearby O'Neal Plaza, I will do a seperate review for that experience. When I looked at this venue, one of the first things that I did was to pay attention to capacity. I knew that we were going to end up with a LOT of folks considering that we both have huge families and lots of friends, and we tend to be more inclusive than that turn folks away who wanted to have a great time. Great, the brochure says that this venue can accomodate 250 folks in a sit down style reception, 300+ if it is a theatre style, we should be fine... right? Hmm... after several months and visits to look at the site... wrong! Well, there is another side room to move the food, maybe we can put teenagers over in that room to make a little more space and we'll be good. Crisis averted, but I strongly caution that if you need this large space for full functionaltiy, that you make sure that you don't just read the literature that they provide. I went to visit this facility several times over the course of the months leading up to the wedding. I would see some people prepping days prior to their event if they needed to. But, I was repeatedly told (even in seeing others setting up for their events early) that I could not enter the facilty until the day of the event since someone else was having an event the day before. I asked if it were possible that I come in after they finished, no. I asked if we could pay to come earlier that morning, no. Emphatically no, it was impossible, could not do it. We happened to be at the facility the day before the wedding for rehearsal on the outdoors. The couple who had the facility had their wedding ceremony at the venue the day before us and had no intention of staying in the venue that entire night. So... we COULD HAVE set up early instead of getting it all in that morning? Thanks for your help... All in all, I enjoyed this venue for my reception. I suppose that there are going to be problems wherever you go. If I had it to do all over again, after reading my review on the outdoor O'Neal Plaza... my answer is yes, I'd pick another place.

We had our wedding ceremony in a section of the ballroom and our reception right next door with the half of the ballroom. We had about 100 guest who fit comfortably on both sides. Jennifer and her crew were very accommodating and welcoming and I have nothing but great things to say about them. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we weren't able to pick our own caterer or even from a list of caterers. The center works exclusively with Proof of the Pudding(who are also good and food was very tasty) but I would have liked to be able to be given more than one option in caterers. Speaking from someone who was on a super tight budget, the caterer can make a huge difference.

The sign when you go into the parking deck implies that it is free that they don't charge your credit card. It is just to record your departure. But when you get ready to depart, there's a $5 parking fee for 12 hours. Very reasonable and perhaps it doesn't actually trigger if you're just there for a 2-hour movie. But I felt it was misleading. All of the street parking is free but on a busy weekend night it might be hard to find a spot with all of the restaurants and bars in the area. So many novel restaurants & bars in close proximity to the event venue. One hotel in the Trilith community, and many more 10 miles or less from the venue.

It started with security when entering venue. If anyone had a "buzz" when walking through access control system, there was only one person doing a further search with a wand. I fortunately didn't have to stand in a very long line, but my friend did and it took 15-20 minutes to get through... she was towards the front. When entering the main doors to the venue, there was only one person to guide everyone to their section. No one was available to guide you to your seat area when we entered. We looked for signs with no success. Ended up asking people that were already seated for their location. Finally. found the row letters stuck on the leg of the outside chair at the beginning of row. Lala Hathaway's style... her voice... is a beautiful mixture of jazz, soul, and R&B. Unfortunately, instead of being able to enjoy her performance, we got to hear an overpowering base. The sound system/engineers were terrible. Her vocals were barely heard for several songs. And when it finally stopped vibrating the whole area, we enjoyed one song before it came back. I have never experienced such a poorly run concert. Shout out to MC Lightfoot for the comical relief and old school love. Otherwise, waste of money. Next time, I'll save the hour drive and stay in Atlanta. Two stars for time together with friends.

The movie was dark, intense, emotional, and honestly unlike anything I expected. The storyline pulls you in immediately and keeps you locked in with twists, trauma, revenge, and moments that make you stop and think. The acting was powerful across the board, and the way the film blended pain, sisterhood, humor, and survival was beautifully done. It had a raw stage-play energy mixed with cinematic storytelling that made it feel unique and unforgettable. Some scenes were heavy and uncomfortable -- but that's what made the story hit even harder. It's not your typical movie night film; it's one that leaves you thinking long after the credits roll. If you like bold storytelling with strong performances and layered emotions, "Is God Is" is definitely worth watching. I'd give it a solid 8/10.

Every Spring - Fall they have artists of all genres and lots of free shows. Tickets are at the box office or TicketMaster. Old school R&B, hip hop, rock, soul, pop and everything in between. This was not my first time being here, but first Wine Down Wednesday which is a free concert series. Tickets drop sparingly so check their IG page. Tables are available for purchase by the seat, but everything else is free! Free parking, bring your own drinks, food, desserts and snacks. They do sell drinks and theater like snacks. General seating is covered but the lawn is first come. Bring your chair and find a spot! I like that it feels like a family when you're here. Sing alongs. Dancing. Sharing drinks. Maybe a chicken wing or chips. It's all love! Check it out and it's worth the drive.

(Ticketmaster & fees) We went to see Musiqsoulchild & Anthony Hamilton. Maybe these arent the type of artist you should see in an outdoor venue. There was no parking at the arena but as I was driving down the road, I saw people parking at the post office across the street. I pulled up on the grass and hopped out my car as others were doing and started walking towards the venue. It was about a five minute walk. Entrance was quick and although there was security on the scene no one checked my bag. There was a vendor that was renting portable fans. Thats a great idea. It was easily 90° and people were lined up to rent a fan. $35 they are rechargeable and I believe I heard one of the vendors say it "should" last the entire concert. There was also someone selling sweer potato pies. I personally cant eat fall/winter foods in the summer but the booth also had a line. There is a set of stairs leading to the lawn. If you want a good view and plan to bring your own chair get there early because the lawn area sits on a slope and by the time I arrived I was behind several rows of people with chairs and sitting on the slope, I had to stop myself and my belongings from sliding down the slope. I brought a blanket and sorta had to squeeze in between all the people in chairs. Ultimately I moved up higher on the slope and it wasn't any better because there were still people in chairs and you couldn't see the stage or jumbotrons if you are sitting on the ground that far back. The audio was HORRIBLE. It wasnt just me, I heard several people in the area I was sitting comment that they couldn't hear the preformers. Thankfully I knew the music so I just rocked to the beat and tried to enjoy myself. They allow you to bring in chairs, food and personal coolers. I also saw some people with wagons but wasn't able to figure out how they got them up the stairs leading to the lawn area. People had portable hookahs and vape pens so it was smokey that far back. I also saw people with fans a little larger than what was being rented. In this regard, you can really make yourself comfortable if you bring everything with you. I left expressing to the group I was with that Im done attending concerts at outdoor venues. This was not a $100 summer concert experience.
