Couldn't have been farther from the truth.. I had dental surgery on the day he wrote down so he was wrong! After a brisk discussion he told "to Get the FUCK out of HIS STORE"! I went to YESTERDAYS TOYS in Bethany and they were delighted to get these vintage comics and gave me great price! Tom is a poor businessman and a very poor quality human being to say that to a lady!

The biggest selections are paperback collections/graphic novels and back issues. However, they had an ample supply of $1 comics and new issues along the walls. I really enjoyed showing my son how to flip through boxes of back issues to look for stuff. The downside was that there were more than a few comics with no marked prices (and took a lot of time to find the prices) and the staff, while friendly, didn't seem to know much about comics. I asked about some DC comics and characters and they simply didn't know the answers. I feel if you run a comic, you should have employees who can answer questions. Overall a really nice experience. Again, the staff was friendly and the back issue and graphic novel selection in particular was fantastic.

Most recently I dashed out while my mom watched my 8 month old to get a hostess gift for our family friend. I was greeted as soon as I entered by perhaps the owner (a friendly blonde woman). I told her I was looking for specific gifts (cocktail napkins, coasters, and a candle) and she showed me where said merchandise was located in each of the rooms. The store is cozy and inviting, as the name suggests, and is full of beach themed goods for home. It's a great spot for picking out a quick hostess gift, or a clever birthday gift (think cute wooden signs, pillows, cheese boards etc). The store isn't cluttered though it is full of options. I found some beach chair coasters (heavy and substantive), and a lovely candle that had an orange vanilla fragrance and helped feed a hungry child in South America with its purchase. I tried to use my Target card but stupidly didn't realize that it only works at Target.com or in Target stores (I don't have the master card that works everywhere). Oops. I only brought an AMEX but she kindly let me use that. I would have had to go back to our beach house and get my other card. I will be back next time I am in town looking for a gift. Friendly service and an inviting shopping atmosphere are a plus!

It is packed with fabulous unique items related to the beach, music, travel, and other life's pleasures. There are gifts and prints that fit every price point and most of them are one-of-a-kind. I visited this area numerous times during the summer and, besides adding to my Beach Town Posters collection, never failed to find thoughtful host gifts or souvenirs here. The store ambience is welcoming and fun, always with great music playing. The staff is really helpful and lovely.

My husband does not like eggs....so he chose the breakfast cheesesteak. It is a ribeye cheesesteak with pimento cheese. It is usually topped with eggs and he ask that they be left off his sandwich. He also added jalapeños. The sandwich was generous and delicious! He also had home fries. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a Bloody Mary as well! Everything was delicious.
