I happened upon it during a walk. This place has lots of native plants for landscaping, as well as beautiful and healthy flowering plants, fruit and vegetable plants, shrubs, trees, mulch and lots more. They have a small variety of indoor plants, but not much. The nice woman behind the counter told me so when I wandered into the checkout area to look at the indoor plants. They do have some nice succulents and rubber plants, though. Plus pottery and garden tchotchkes. There's also a greehouse that houses the more delicate outdoor plants and starts. It was nice to walk around and be surrounded by so much greenery. When I visited on a weekday, there were lots of people around to help and answer questions. Everyone I encountered was friendly, but they also knew when to just leave you alone and let you (me) bask in the beauty of plants.

It was nice to see signs labeling plants as good for low light to help you choose based on your home environment! The price points are very fair. I noticed $5 succulents, some $10 plants, a $25 one, a few more expensive, etc. They even had a container of discounted $1 succulents! There are also bags of soil for sale, that seem to be a blend (I think made by or sourced for the Collective?) I'd be interested to learn more about them next time I stop by. Obviously I had to make my way in. Matt was taking care of the shop that day and immediately greeted me and asked me what I was looking for. I'm the kind of person that doesn't really know plants, I just like them and try to keep them alive. I kind of looked around on my own but heart him talking to a couple about best watering and lighting conditions for what they needed. I liked that the shop was arranged by lighting needs. I went to the section of low light plants and chose a begonia. When I checked out Matt gave me recommendations on taking care of it. He also gave me a punch card. I believe it's buy 5, and then you get 50% off your 6th. I will definitely be back when I need to fulfill my plant impulses!

There's a good bit of deferred maintenance in the gardens but they are still impressive. Apparently they do NOT dig their own plants anymore. One thing I really love about this nursery is the outstanding knowledgeable staff who can tell you so much about many of the plants they sell but be patient as they give this kind of great service to other customers. 4 stars instead of 5 because they don't dig their own plants.

A tall paper cup is what you are provided and gets a little soggy as time passes. My kids are 5 and 3 and they both had so much fun picking flowers. We picked zinnias, sunflowers, strawflowers, daisies and cosmos. We purchased 2 bouquets and with that amount made 4 bouquets at home. It's amazing how many flowers fit in a tall paper cup. I'm not sure if dahlias are ever available but that is one flower I would love to be able to pick a bouquet of. Totally thinking of having my kids' bday party here next summer.
