Dr. Alicia led to a personal health breakthrough with which I am so grateful! I have been suffering from low energy for decades, and have been diagnosed with subclinical (not recommended for treatment) hypothyroidism, which can cause this. Based on the questions she asked during our long intake, she thought I should do something about this. I started researching and discovered I was consuming too much iodine, which can cause hypothyroidism. I cut back on this and have been feeling more energetic since! She also introduced me to a foam roller at her office, which instantly cracked my back and now I have one at home. She gave me an abundance of her time and knowledge, along with the adjustment. Whenever I come to see Dr. Alicia, it literally changes my entire week. Let's start with her office: it is located right in WeHo by a bunch of production companies, so it is fun and exciting because you never know who you will see coming out of her office or on the table when you get there! It is so warm and inviting, and even more so when she brings her beautiful, calm, wonderfully-behaved golden retrievers in to greet patients as they arrive. Now for the doc herself...miracle worker. Absolute healer. She is the ONLY chiro who has been able to correctly diagnose my scoliosis since most chiros make me bend forward before checking my spine, which straightens it out obviously. She is so knowledgeable, so precise with her evaluations and adjustments. When she puts my poor twisted spine back in the proper alignment, relief literally washes over me to the point I feel almost high. It is so amazing to have even a moment of relief, and after I see her I am good for the whole week. I really cannot say enough good things about her. Besides her exceptional healing hands and mind, she is so kind, friendly, and easy to talk to. I always stay for way longer than necessary just talking with her. My final argument for why no chiro is better: I drive from Manhattan Beach all the way to WeHo to see her. There are plenty of chiros near me. She is THAT GOOD. I've seen chiropractors in NY, MN and LA and, let me tell you, Dr. Burke is the real deal. She genuinely cares about the health of her patients and gets the adjustment right every time. She's careful to explain everything that she does so you can understand your problems, what's causing them and how to fix/prevent them. My quality of life has improved ten-fold since I started seeing her sixth months ago. She also offers ultrasound and roller therapy which, for whatever reason, is diffuclt to find in LA. I find it extremely helpful for my shoulder issues. Working in production, I struggled to find an office I could visit regularly because it's nearly impossible to leave work for an appointment. I decided to visit Dr. Burke because she's at the office twice a week starting at 7:30am and for a couple of hours on Saturdays as well. I haven't looked back. Dr. B is the BEST, smartest, most gentle and helpful chiropractor out there! I would only trust her with my neck and spine.
