The staff here are nice. I think they need to make different decisions about a few things, however. The doctor coughed throughout my session. He wore a mask, but I'm not comfortable being in a small, closed room for 30 minutes with that. I think he should stay home if he's sick, and if he's got allergies, he should find medication that will keep him from coughing on his patients. When I told him about my problems, he said they were age-related, suggesting to me there wasn't anything he could do to help. (I'm 50). Maybe this was miscommunication. I had a total knee replacement surgery on 4/3/25. In July was still having too much swelling, which was impeding the improvement of range of motion. His first treatment helped SO MUCH! the Swelling went down and the ROM improved 5 degrees. I will return as per his suggestion, probably once per week for 3 months. I came here originally because I had really bad tendonitis (according to my dr) in my forearms and wrist pain and it was hard to get through a whole month at work w/out taking time off. I went there on monday. Everyone in the office was so accommodating and extremely nice to me especially the receptionist she was so understanding. I felt really great. I went in with a what I thought was a hamstring strain because I was told so by another doctor. I did few massages and therapy elsewhere and for 4 weeks my issue was not resolved. Coming here, the doctor IMMEDIATELY found out that my hamstrings are fine and it is my inner thigh muscles that are messed up. So when he started with massage I was feeling it in the exact places he told me my problem was. From that information only, I was so relieved. After massages he did cupping then acupuncture. For the day and the next, the pain was still there but not was much. TODAY, I can't believe I am saying this but now the leg with issue seems more healthy than the other leg which I think is just sore (but I am going in again for that and my neck). I can barely feel anything. My stretches are less painful when I am practicing. I feel so relieved. I have one more session (which will make 2 sessions) and I think it will be the last. He said in 1-2 weeks I should be fully healed if I warm up thouroughly before stretches (notice he did not tell me to rest for 1 week). Today is Monday again and I'm able to practice my middle splits again. I think I'm even more flexible than before. He is very professional and seems very intellectual and knowledgeable in this craft. He will explain what's goin on in your body and why you feel those pain. I have been in treatment for three months and it is the most comprehensive support I've had in LA. I have various orthopedic issues. He evaluated me thoroughly and laid out a realistic time table for gradual improvement. He was clear about the severity of my situation and what he could offer. He gave me a road map. I have had knee and hip pain for a while, been to various doctors without much progress. I sought out acupuncture as a "why not" scenario, and I am gladI took the chance. Dr. Eom and his crew have taken excellent care of me since I have started going to Energetic Acupuncture. My one-hour treatment consists of massage, cupping, needle acupuncture then some stretching. Dr. Eom is very calm, caring and focused as he goes through my treatments. To me, the greatest benefit has been an improved flexibility of my leg and back muscles. I had serious problems with my body after having a second baby. I had a low blood pressure and dizziness plus headache. Highly recommend this place and doctor Eom! I've been having a left knee pain due to injury happened two weeks ago while practicing martial art.
