Even had fresh local scones from the secret bakery in Wolfeboro. One thing should be mentioned. They have 6 dogs on the property. If you don't like dogs or are allergic, this is not the place for you. But for me, it was great. I love dogs. There were well behaved and the whole property is invisible fenced, including the inside. You don't have to worry about them going into your room. All in all, this place is great. I would highly recommend Lake View Inn. It's the perfect lake regions B & B.

The Afton Inn is without a doubt one of the most well decorated and welcoming inn's I have ever visited. The restoration of the farmhouse and barn took two solid years of work and you see the incredible attention to detail the minute you pull around the bend and the beautiful sliding red barn door comes into view. Some might argue that a stay in the Lakes Region is not complete without a night on the lake, but we found the tranquility of the rural farmland coupled with the tastefully designed decor more than enough to keep us comfortable and content for the night.

We are from California but are temporarily living in Boston and decided to take the boat out on Lake Winnipesaukee for the weekend. It was a busy weekend for the area as it was Motorcycle Week and we had a difficult time finding accommodations. After exploring the local hotels and motels we thought we'd give a look into B&B's when we came across this one- with availability!! Connie was knowledgeable about the town and offered us recommendations for dinner. Wally was insightful about the surrounding lakes. We were very fortunate to have found them. Connie and Wally showed us about the property- very beautiful Old New England charm and our hosts kindly allowed us to park our boat behind the building and let us charge it. The common areas were very pleasant and relaxed. Our room was very clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully updated with a fun and spacious Jacuzzi tub for two. ;) We had the most delectable breakfast. Wally wakes up 2 hours before breakfast to make the batter for the pancakes. I hope that wasn't a secret! But I'm sure there is more to it as they are crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside! I would love to learn how he does this! I can't say enough about how kind and generous Connie and Wally are! We had a most pleasant experience with our first B&B and look forward to another visit.

Then step inside where you find a very comfortable living room and the most beautiful stone fireplace I have ever seen! Most of the rooms have beautiful scenic views of the lake. I have a question though, is there such a thing as a million thread count sheet or pillow case? Because I think this place has them, I have bad shoulders and this was the best sleep I had in years!! That's why I was able to get up early and watch the sunrise and enjoy an excellent breakfast on the porch prepared by the owner himself, thanks Al! Last but definitely not least Al's wife Pamela is just the nicest person, making everyone feel as relaxed as if you were in your own home, she is full of ideas for all your local needs from dining to local recreation. The inn was cozy and charming, and Monty and Rebecca were gracious and attentive hosts. They take such pride in their inn, and it shows. The inn itself is well-maintained and beautiful, the rooms are charming and cozy (and some with spectacular views of the lake!), and the amenities throughout were ample. The sheets were divine and so soft; it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The large living room downstairs was the perfect spot to relax by the stunning fireplace and play board games from their many options of games, puzzles, and magazines. There is a selection of coffee and tea in the dining room available any time, and every afternoon fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies are put out. They were delicious and we enjoyed quite a few! In the warmer months, there is a beautiful front porch overlooking the gazebo and waterfront area. The breakfast was fantastic and lovingly made. We were treated to a three-course breakfast in the dining room served by Monty with fresh juices and coffee/tea. First fruit, followed by a delicious pumpkin bread, followed by the main dish. At check-in, they asked about our dietary needs and preferences based on the upcoming menu and catered to our needs. It was excellent and we left breakfast stuffed! Monty was a truly kind and hospitable host and we enjoyed talking with him during our stay. He was even so kind to leave out a few things to go since we departed early before breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend staying at The Lake House at Ferry Point while in town or making a trip for a weekend of beautiful views and relaxation. East to check in as Karen just hands you the Key; no rules, no directives, no signs, just have a good time. Good Parking, and all the rooms had mini-splits air conditioning. Three fireplaces made of bright Italian tiles, with real hardwood floors throughout. Perfectly located for exploring Littleton, Bethlehem, and the Mount Washington area, this is a place we will be returning in January. Highly recommended!

Each room is nicely adorned and we selected the Governor's Room which had ample space and extremely comfortable. The queen size bed provided an excellent night's sleep and there was no shortage of towels available. Personally I didn't care for the bathroom toiletries but being finicky I travel with my own. There is a very nice continental breakfast provided in the dining area where you have an opportunity to interact with Cindy and the other guests. What was most surprising and very much appreciated was the fact that we didn't have anything to do until the afternoon and Cindy was kind enough to say we could stay as long as we liked. She provided this courtesy to another guest who was in a similar situation. This was a very pleasant experience and there is no doubt this won't be the last time we visit Topsiders. Thanks Cindy!

The beds are stately and was exactly what I needed for a replenishing sleep. Mornings at Topsides provides a full continental breakfast. Keeping with the antique theme, the dining room hosts great conversation among guests with fresh fruits, tasty pastries, coffee, juice etc. The owner/manager, Cindy, is very pleasant and accommodating and I highly recommend a visit if you ever find yourself in the area.

Great restaurants and shopping, water nearby. We took the Mt. Washington sunset cruise and drove to the Wright World War ll museum and have had nice massages at the Cascades. All in all, this is one the nicest of all the many B&B's we've visited.
