Just had a spectacular weekend spent at the Lakehouse, what a great spot to relax. I especially loved sitting on the the huge farmers porch drinking my fresh brewed morning coffee and watching the sunrise while listening to the loons calling, I felt like I was in the movie " On Golden Pond" ! Then step inside where you find a very comfortable living room and the most beautiful stone fireplace I have ever seen! Most of the rooms have beautiful scenic views of the lake. I have a question though, is there such a thing as a million thread count sheet or pillow case? Because I think this place has them, I have bad shoulders and this was the best sleep I had in years!! That's why I was able to get up early and watch the sunrise and enjoy an excellent breakfast on the porch prepared by the owner himself, thanks Al! Last but definitely not least Al's wife Pamela is just the nicest person, making everyone feel as relaxed as if you were in your own home, she is full of ideas for all your local needs from dining to local recreation. Lake House at Ferry Point - Front porch overlooking lake Winnesquam - Bed & Breakfast Near Me - Sanbornton, New Hampshire

My husband and I stayed at The Lake House at Ferry Point while in town for a wedding at a nearby resort in February and had an exceptional stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the inn! The inn was cozy and charming, and Monty and Rebecca were gracious and attentive hosts. They take such pride in their inn, and it shows. The inn itself is well-maintained and beautiful, the rooms are charming and cozy (and some with spectacular views of the lake!), and the amenities throughout were ample. The sheets were divine and so soft; it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The large living room downstairs was the perfect spot to relax by the stunning fireplace and play board games from their many options of games, puzzles, and magazines. There is a selection of coffee and tea in the dining room available any time, and every afternoon fresh, warm chocolate chip cookies are put out. They were delicious and we enjoyed quite a few! In the warmer months, there is a beautiful front porch overlooking the gazebo and waterfront area. The breakfast was fantastic and lovingly made. We were treated to a three-course breakfast in the dining room served by Monty with fresh juices and coffee/tea. First fruit, followed by a delicious pumpkin bread, followed by the main dish. At check-in, they asked about our dietary needs and preferences based on the upcoming menu and catered to our needs. It was excellent and we left breakfast stuffed! Monty was a truly kind and hospitable host and we enjoyed talking with him during our stay. He was even so kind to leave out a few things to go since we departed early before breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend staying at The Lake House at Ferry Point while in town or making a trip for a weekend of beautiful views and relaxation. Cozy inn, hospitable hosts, delicious breakfast, and a superb location right on the lake. We hope to return during warmer weather to enjoy the porch and kayaking. A truly special inn! read more

I can honestly say that this was my best bed and breakfast experience of my life. The owner is sweet and accommodating but also gives you space to enjoy the property. Things we loved: the toothbrush kit (no lie- we seem to always forget this when we pack), the view and ability to spend a hot and humid afternoon floating in the water, the breakfast was amazing and the bed is so comfy! My young adult daughter and I went and booked a night to attend a concert at the Pavilion. But I am definitely coming back with my fiancé. Highly recommend this lovely gem. read more

We had a lovely stay at the Lake House at Ferry Point. The lake is in front with adirondack chairs and a gazebo and the inn has a large porch with lots of comfortable chairs and tables to enjoy the view. The breakfasts are to die for and the hostess could not be more pleasant and helpful with Lots of recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The living room has comfy couches, a table for games and a very good assortment of books and games. The grounds are lovely with flowers and seating. We highly recommend this charming inn! read more

What a lovely place to stay. They think of the little details down to homemade cookies with your coffee in the afternoons. Very clean well kept rooms, gorgeous architecture and gorgeous views! It's a fun place to stay with very innkeepers. We went kayaking on the lake, sat on the porch, enjoyed a puzzle by the fireplace in the common room... it was a relaxing time and we wish we were back there! This is without question a hands down 5-star rating! John and Cindy were absolutely wonderful and welcoming. My Boyfriend and I decided to get away for 2 nights and selected this gem of a bed and breakfast! Located in Sanbornton, both the B&B and the town were very quaint and quiet. John and Cindy greeted us the second we arrived with a smile and an offer to help settle us in. We chose the Wentworth Lake room that boasts a very nice sized jacuzzi! This room had a view of the beautiful snow covered woods behind the house (we went during the winter). The room, the entire house and grounds were meticulously spotless and cared for. John and Cindy told us of several nice places to grab food or grab a drink. All of their suggestions were wonderful! They even offered to come pick us up if we had a few too many - which is incredibly kind! Among all off the food that we ate the most spectacular was the yummy fare that John prepared each morning for us! Beautiful fresh fruit and tasty hot dishes along with plenty of fresh coffee and tea. There is a lovely great room that we used to snuggle up and look at the lake - also enjoyed morning coffee in there. The house itself is gigantic and tells you a story as you move around it. J&C were kind enough to tell us of it's history and their's as well. They really made us feel like family during our stay. This is a fantastic find in beautiful New Hampshire that you simply cannot pass up! We plan on returning during the summer to enjoy the breathtaking lake! read more

John and Cindy are fantastic! They are great hosts and John is a great cook, the food was different to me and I had never experienced it before, but it taste great! We ate at 830 and by 3pm we were still full! The portions were not huge cheesecake factory style either, but that just shows the nourishment and goodness that they prepare for their guests. There are no tvs in the room, so if this bothers you, you may want to reconsider, but honestly if you are on vacation and want to watch tv..... Our sleep was actually more refreshing and probably because of the lack of the tv in the room. Beautiful property, great view of the lake, pretty easy to find getting off of the highway, two thumbs up and two big toes!! read more

This is an absolutely beautiful B&B right on lake Winnisquam. The ground floor suite I reserved for a special get away with my 91 year old mother was well appointed and cozy with a spa tub for ultra relaxation. Unfortunately the Innkeepers became quite put out when 5 local family members met us here for a pot luck luncheon/reunion in the middle of the afternoon. the breakfast dining area was empty and we left it as we found it and used our own supplies and utensils. (Apparently the conversation I had conducted on the phone weeks prior to check in, to make sure this would be cool, was never communicated to the powers that be). From that moment forward my interactions with the innkeepers was strained this caused an uneasiness to what for me were to be wonderful memories. That was unfortunate, but thankfully didn't spill over on to mom, though she did ask if it was her imagination or was Cindy a bit "snippy" with me? Yes I thought so... read more

Delightful B&B by the lake. Enjoyed a paddle in the lake (they have canoe, kayak and row boat for guests). There is a gazebo and chairs perfect for picnic, a dock with a bench overlooking the lake, and a small private beach for a swim. The service was impeccable and breakfast delicious. read more

The kayaks are a very welcome addition to the stay at the Lake House. It is a particularly beautiful lake to enjoy. Sadly, the peddle boat had been bailed out my numerous guests the week we were staying there to sink shortly after leaving shore we were told by other guests after it happened to us. We assumed owners were unaware, not the case and the boat was left on the shore in spite of this with no warning to guests. The breakfasts were very decadent, presentation was impressive, but there was no notice on what would be served or options. This works if you have no restrictions. The B&B is directly across the road from Lake Winnesquam, the views are incredible and the water refreshing mid July for a swim. The rooms are very clean and a nice welcome basket in the room. They advertise cookies or brownies at all times, this was not our experience. We were a bit disappointed when they were available in our four day stay the cookie never changed. If you like oatmeal raisin, you should be happy. We asked about recommendations for a couple of things and were told the menu book may not be up to date. We used trip advisor and yelp for our needs. The B&B offers a beautiful front porch and flowers, site says breakfast served on porch if weather permits. This was not out experience, but we did enjoy morning coffee overlooking the lake. Evenings were nice until sunset, then the Mosquitos won out! read more

Had I not had to visit New Hampshire on business I may have never stumbled upon this gem. Its so quiet and peaceful and the lake was gorgeous. This house could have very easily been a very scary place as it is an old old home. However not once did I feel uncomfortable or scared and I was the only one in the entire house as I was there on a weekday after Labor Day weekend. The staff was so friendly and the breakfast in the morning was perfect. I stayed in the top floor room that faced the lake. What I believe is the best room in the house. I have stayed in plenty of hotels but this had to feel the cleanest. The bedding smelt as tho I had crawled into the washing machine and the soothing smell of amazing detergent drifted me off to sleep. No complaints on any amenities as the shower, sink, toilet worked as it should. Also was nice to get chocolate almonds and jerky as compliments in the room. Not a whole lot of dinner options nearby as I didn't want to drive because I had already driven so much. One option delivers but I opted for a Mexican restaurant down the street. Being from California it wasn't the best Mexican food but wasn't horrible either. The staff was very polite and was there for anything I needed. I am definitely planning on bringing my wife back here and experiencing this on pleasure as opposed to business. read more

What a treat! My husband and I landed at the Lake House at Ferry Point for a weekend getaway. Rebecca, Jeanette, and Monty are wonderful hosts! I always worry with a B&B that i'm going to have to spend too much time socializing when I'm really just trying to relax. No worries on that score - the hosts were friendly without being cloying. Really just wonderful. Great recommendations for things to do. Our room was on the top floor and was lovely for the two of us. We had a queen size bed, a small bathroom and a small sitting area. The B&B has everything you need - I really appreciated things like a refrigerator on the second floor so we could bring wine back to chill, corkscrews and wine glasses for us to use, towels for swimming, kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle boat, the lovely gazebo overlooking the lake, the dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Breakfast every morning was delicious. If we're back in this region - we'll definitely stay here again. read more

The Lake House at Ferry Point was the highlight of our 7-state trip to New England this summer. The hosts are a delightful family...John, Cindy and daughter Libby. We could tell that they love what they do and they love people. The house is meticulously cared for. They provide plenty of lake fun with a small swim beach, paddle boat and kayaks. The gazebo out on the point in the lake is a wonderful place to have a cigar or share a bottle of wine in the evening. The bed was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious, fresh and healthy. I would highly recommend a stay here for a weekend or a week. read more

My husband and I recently spent a weekend at The Lake House for an anniversary getaway. John and Cindy are both very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and included several courses: fresh fruit, baked goods, and a warm entree (quiche and peach melba toast the weekend we were there). The rooms were well kept and beds comfortable (...in particular, the blanket was super comfy -- as someone who is always cold, I appreciated the warm & cozy extra layer). There aren't any restaurants / shopping that are really walkable from The Lake House, although there are a few good options within close driving distance. We ate at Tavern 27 one night and The Local Eatery the second night. Both were very good (and we even got a discount at The Local when they found out we were staying at The Lake House). We also went on a few excursions while we were in the area. Flume Gorge was a nice (albeit short) hike within ~1 hour driving distance. We also checked out Wolfeboro to get a nice lunch and also to see the bigger Lake Winnepesaukee. read more

This is the cutest B&B. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. The Wentworth, the room we stayed in, was so clean and the jacuzzi tub was an awesome feature! Additionally, the owners were incredibly sweet and truly made us feel at home. They had and offered everything you could ever need. The view of the lake is beautiful and we were able to enjoy the use of the kayaks. Plus, the breakfast was noticeably fresh and delicious. The cookies are a must-try! They may have actually been the best I ever had - nothing beats a squishy middle. I've already recommended this place to friends and family. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back! read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Plenty. There is no end to the great stuff that can be said about this B&B. Cindy stayed up until past midnight waiting for my gf and I to arrive for our anniversary weekend. She gave us a brief, hushed tour so as not to wake the other guests. The house is large and built like a home, with a tremendously cozy living room stocked with books, games, big screen TV and a fireplace. The dining room is small with cafe style tables, and the room we stayed in was more like a bedroom than anything (with a full bathroom attached). The sheets are the best sheets I've ever slept on (they know it too, you can buy a set from their mini gift shop). In the morning, their daughter knocked softly and asked if we would like to come down to breakfast. John whipped up a clear favorite of his (and now ours), peach melba french toast. This isn't a buffet style continental breakfast. John cooks each and every dish specially for each and every guest, and Cindy serves it all up with a side of welcoming conversation. During breakfast, we watched cars and people walk out onto frozen lake winnipasaukee (sp?) through their huge windows with a great view. After a day out in the mountains, all were in bed as we came back and stoked a quiet fire enjoying a bottle of wine. Comfy blankets are folded on the chairs and couches for extra warmth, and there are always chocolate chip cookies, tea, coffee, cocoa and water at all hours. John checked us out on Sunday and directed us to the nearest greasy spoon on the way home. All-in-all, I would recommend everyone to stay at the Lake House at Ferry Point Inn. Kind, good people and warm, fuzzy atmosphere is hard to come by these days, especially in such abound as here. Thank you so much John, Cindy and Libby for a fantastic weekend. read more

John and Cindy are wonderful hosts and even though they've been doing this for less than two years, they are top notch! They take pride in considering every detail of your stay. Everything about our room (Wentworth #1) was so cozy, particularly the oversized jacuzzi tub. The bed was so comfortable with amazingly soft sheets. Breakfast was fantastic and included fresh-squeezed orange juice, sweet breads, fresh local fruit, and a handmade casserole or quiche. The fruit course was our favorite, particularly the fruit parfait of raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, yogurt, and granola. John and Cindy take the time to gather the best local ingredients, create a gourmet breakfast, and then serve it with a smile. Coffee and cookies are always available for guests. We also loved all of the other amenities that the inn had to offer including a common living room with a big screen TV, tons of games and books, a hammock, a dock, and kayaks for all to use. The inn is also conveniently located--close to town, but feels quite remote. We will definitely return! read more

We spent 6 wonderful days at the inn and were sad to leave. From the minute we arrived, greeted by the owners, Jeanette, Rebecca and Monty, we felt at home. All our needs were more than meet. Breakfast was different each morning, with a variety of fruit cups, juice, and a main dish, fresh and delicious. The bed and bedding was so comfy that we slept well. The house has a huge front porch with plenty of comfortable chairs, perfect for relaxing and chatting with other guests. on the edge of the lake is a gazebo, where we sat and watched the ducks swim by. We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Lake house at Ferry Point in mid-June. We stayed mid-week and were lucky to be the only guests at the Lake House during our stay. The view and access to Lake Winnisquam is fantastic. We made use of the kayaks that are available to guests, which was a nice activity before we headed out to dinner. There are new innkeepers at the Lake House and we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home right away. Rebecca was very helpful with recommendations for places to eat and went out of her way to get additional information on hiking trails in the area. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and had a beautiful view of the Lake. The breakfast on both mornings was delicious and plentiful and kept us full well into lunchtime. Coffee is always available and I especially enjoyed a cup before breakfast outside on the farmer's porch overlooking the Lake. Very calm and peaceful early in the morning. The innkeepers are always available for any questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Lake House for your stay in the Laconia area. read more

Ok I am not sure where to start. We are from upstate new York we drive to Maine every year the week of labor day. This year we wanted to stay in New Hampshire on our way to Maine. So I began to look for a place on our way. Well I can only tell you that we will be stopping on our way next year. We were very impressed. John and Cindy told us that they have been running this bed in breakfast for only a couple of years, You certainly wouldn't know it. They have such a great place and if you are ever in the area this is your place to stay. The amenities are endless. They thought of everything you would need. Thank you again John & Cindy.
