    The jacuzzi in Wentworth Lake

This is without question a hands down 5-star rating! John and Cindy were absolutely wonderful and welcoming. My Boyfriend and I decided to get away for 2 nights and selected this gem of a bed and breakfast! Located in Sanbornton, both the B&B and the town were very quaint and quiet. John and Cindy greeted us the second we arrived with a smile and an offer to help settle us in. We chose the Wentworth Lake room that boasts a very nice sized jacuzzi! This room had a view of the beautiful snow covered woods behind the house (we went during the winter). The room, the entire house and grounds were meticulously spotless and cared for. John and Cindy told us of several nice places to grab food or grab a drink. All of their suggestions were wonderful! They even offered to come pick us up if we had a few too many - which is incredibly kind! Among all off the food that we ate the most spectacular was the yummy fare that John prepared each morning for us! Beautiful fresh fruit and tasty hot dishes along with plenty of fresh coffee and tea. There is a lovely great room that we used to snuggle up and look at the lake - also enjoyed morning coffee in there. The house itself is gigantic and tells you a story as you move around it. J&C were kind enough to tell us of it's history and their's as well. They really made us feel like family during our stay. This is a fantastic find in beautiful New Hampshire that you simply cannot pass up! We plan on returning during the summer to enjoy the breathtaking lake!

This is an absolutely beautiful B&B right on lake Winnisquam. The ground floor suite I reserved for a special get away with my 91 year old mother was well appointed and cozy with a spa tub for ultra relaxation. Unfortunately the Innkeepers became quite put out when 5 local family members met us here for a pot luck luncheon/reunion in the middle of the afternoon. the breakfast dining area was empty and we left it as we found it and used our own supplies and utensils. (Apparently the conversation I had conducted on the phone weeks prior to check in, to make sure this would be cool, was never communicated to the powers that be). From that moment forward my interactions with the innkeepers was strained this caused an uneasiness to what for me were to be wonderful memories. That was unfortunate, but thankfully didn't spill over on to mom, though she did ask if it was her imagination or was Cindy a bit "snippy" with me? Yes I thought so...

The kayaks are a very welcome addition to the stay at the Lake House. It is a particularly beautiful lake to enjoy. Sadly, the peddle boat had been bailed out my numerous guests the week we were staying there to sink shortly after leaving shore we were told by other guests after it happened to us. We assumed owners were unaware, not the case and the boat was left on the shore in spite of this with no warning to guests. The breakfasts were very decadent, presentation was impressive, but there was no notice on what would be served or options. This works if you have no restrictions. The B&B is directly across the road from Lake Winnesquam, the views are incredible and the water refreshing mid July for a swim. The rooms are very clean and a nice welcome basket in the room. They advertise cookies or brownies at all times, this was not our experience. We were a bit disappointed when they were available in our four day stay the cookie never changed. If you like oatmeal raisin, you should be happy. We asked about recommendations for a couple of things and were told the menu book may not be up to date. We used trip advisor and yelp for our needs. The B&B offers a beautiful front porch and flowers, site says breakfast served on porch if weather permits. This was not out experience, but we did enjoy morning coffee overlooking the lake. Evenings were nice until sunset, then the Mosquitos won out!

Their gorgeous house is model after a Southern style mansion set on over 60+ acres of land. The views of Lake Wentworth and Winnipesaukee are breath taking. The breakfast was excellent. Even had fresh local scones from the secret bakery in Wolfeboro. One thing should be mentioned. They have 6 dogs on the property. If you don't like dogs or are allergic, this is not the place for you. But for me, it was great. I love dogs. There were well behaved and the whole property is invisible fenced, including the inside. You don't have to worry about them going into your room. All in all, this place is great. I would highly recommend Lake View Inn. It's the perfect lake regions B & B.

Dear Darryl, THANK…read moreYOU! I have to preface that we did not stay here, so you're probably thinking why the 5-star review? Well, that's because hospitality at this fabulous inn does not extend solely to guests, but also to visitors, even the kind who pop in unannounced. My mother-in-law spent many summers in Meredith as a child in the 1960's! Her great aunt owned the house at the time. She told us stories of running around the wrap-around porch and falling down the stairs and breaking a toe (). Darryl took time to welcome us and allow us a tour as well as time to relive her memories. The beautiful wrap around porch still exists, now with an incredible porch added to enjoy the incredible view. The inn is absolutely beautiful. Darryl then went so far as to offer us WONDERFUL pumpkin muffins made that morning and they were DELICIOUS! This was our first visit to Meredith-- we were in town for a wedding. But let me tell you, we plan to return and hope to stay at the beautiful Ballard House Inn and see Darrell again! Thank you, Darryl, for your kindness and hospitality!

We have a reservation confirmation and that our reservation deposit was accepted on our credit card. We found that later a credit was posted to our credit card from the Ballard House. We called and spoke with Samantha, who answers their phone, but she could not give us any reason, whether another room was open, or who to speak to about this. She said an email was sent, but we received nothing from them (nothing in our spam box ). BEWARE. You may arrive and have no place to stay because they arbitrarily canceled a reservation they accepted. Very poor business practice

Have stayed here about 4 times over the past few years visiting our children at summer camp. The owners, Janet and Doug, are wonderfully friendly and charming folks who I have really enjoyed getting to know. Their home is a lovely old farm house with a great deal of charm; lots of antiques, some low ceilings, creaky floors, antique locks on the doors, etc. The rooms are small, but comfortable. You'll find a few cob webs and a little dust, but this is a trifle. Janet makes a cooked-to-order breakfast often asking what you'd like the night before. She is an excellent cook. The best part of a visit to the Inn is the idyllic backyard (see photo) which is immaculately kept and is stunningly beautiful. It is quite relaxing and serene. Sit and listen to to the quiet. Once you sit down and take in the view, you do not want to move. There is also a screened-in porch for those wishing to avoid the sun and flying annoyances. The property also has access to a nearby pond which is a short walk via a path through the woods across the street. Canoeing and rowing is possible, or simply sit and take in the water view and others enjoying the lake. The Meadow Farm Bed and Breakfast is a lovely oasis.

But every morning they fed you a HUGE home made breakfast...each breakfast was better than the day prior! Many items were really unique and very tasty....I am a big coffee fan and they serve french press. We stayed in the canopy room and enjoyed every inch of the historic house and furniture. The property is relaxing and fun especially visiting the two horses on the property. Make sure you take a short walk through the woods o find the lake with a wonderful view. Already planning the next visit!
