I figure,if you're a legitimate business, with a phone number and your business hours show as open, that you should answer the call or at least return voicemails left on your Google phone number with an Austin area code - that make it look like you're using to try and make yourself appear legit in this area. Austin has no shortage of good hair stylists,and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. It is unfortunate, but that's how it goes when businesses don't respond to potential new clients. I did have a nice scalp message as well as, a quick wash/blow out from Tamra, taking about a 1/2hr nice & quick too! My assumption for price range (I thought) would be your typical city prices of $55-$75. But I should have asked first because the total upon checkout with a 20% tip was a whopping $146.10!! So price for blowout -no flat ironing, no curling etc. - ended up $116.88 without tip! Always ask pricing prior to booking!! Lesson learned! :/

Very modern and welcoming. When I came in, I was greeted by the stylists working on hair. There was nobody at the front desk, so I had to wait a couple of minutes to let them know who I was and when my appointment was scheduled for (I did arrive a few minutes early). Everyone was chatting and clients seemed relaxed. Maribel was my stylist, and was super easy to talk to. I showed her some reference pictures and explained my situation, and she made sure we were on the same page before getting started. The hair wash was glorious, and Maribel had my hair washed, cut, dried and styled in under an hour! I highly recommend Torres!

So, I held my breath and scheduled an appointment. I'm 72, have naturally-colored, grey hair, and wanted it layered. It's difficult to find a stylist who can do a decent layered cut. But, Xavier hit the mark. He is a scissors, brush, and dryer wizard. We spoke until he was sure he knew exactly the results I wanted. He definitely delivered. No more bad hair days for me!!! In the morning, I simply fluff up my hair then run my fingers through it to make my style spring back to life. Within 10 minutes it's dried and styled....no brush needed. I simply sweep the dryer over my hair with the concentrator nozzle in the direction I want it to fall. No product is needed to keep it in place. My visit with Xavier was extremely enjoyable because he's such a vibrant, engaging person. We chatted away the entire time I was sitting in his chair. It was so relaxing to be in a private room where I wasn't forced to listen to multiple conversations and dryers blasting. Xavier even has the courtesy to silence the ringer on his phone.
