Now mind you a lot of work went into it before this decision was made, and they still made the offer because they didn't feel comfortable allowing my son to drive it. It had to be replaced and I did ask why this was ( the shop tried blaming me saying that I hadn't taken care of the moped correctly so that's why it wasn't starting) my mechanic said simply it was because it was a cheaply made part. Horrible service. They only want to make money and will do anything to do so, once you buy their product they don't care and will not take responsibility for how cheaply the scooters are made.

My experience with Middlesex Power Sports / Old Outboard Marina or what ever else Mario is calling himself now, was exactly the same as other reviews you will find on the web if not worse. Mario had my boat for no less than...wait for it...4 1/2 years (not months, years). During which time I stopped in many many times to check on its status. I had to stop in as Mario does not take or return calls. In fact most of the time you can't even leave a message as his message are full. Twice when I visited I found he had been evicted from his place and the boat along with most everything else was gone. Tracking him down to his new location was both time consuming and as anxiety packed as you can imagine. At one point he did have it finished (although not tested) and was delivering it too me only to have the back engine cover fly off on rt 495. Mario did not lock the cover down and it was caught by the wind and flew off. This was a truly rookie mistake that could have easily killed someone. This is a much longer story than I have time to write here but after all the pain, anguish and time, Mario ended stiffing me for $200....sigh. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BOAT HERE AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UP FRONT!

Make no mistake about it: any organization, regardless of what product or service they offer, is only as good as the people who come to work there every day. Durand's is a perfect example of this, from the owner, Tim Durand, to the Parts & Service Manager, Sean, to the superb Techs that I've worked with, Vinny & Steve. All of these people truly GET it, and the main reason for that is that they CARE. If you're looking for frills or theatrics, this is not your destination...but if what you're drawn to is substance (honesty, fairness, product knowledge, enthusiasm, top-level mechanical skills and an environment that makes you feel like you're among friends), don't look any further, because Durand's Motorsports is your place. I got my bike 3 months later on December 6th and the leak wasnt fixed the plugs werent replaced and the charging system still wasnt charging. This guy is a complete liar . After I advanced him 660.00 via cash app I believe he may have only replaced the pads. I will confirm that the pads were actually replaced when I get my bike back from another shop before i contact the better business bureau.

He did a great job checking out my KTM duke and was servicing a variety of bikes in his shop (harleys, Japanese bikes, etc). He charges less $$ for smaller (less than 400cc) bikes so be sure to ask about that. Additionally, Mike takes an holistic approach and went the extra mile on some things, like switching the clutch levers for a clean look. He even replaced my ghetto zip ties holding my plate with an actual bracket. Overall, this shop is highly recommended. Would return.
