I paid 600 in labor to install to install a 10 dollar seal for the rear diff in my atv upon taking it for a ride it made some of the worst noise I ever heard I thought my rear diff was junk after bringing it to a different mechanic they found the drive shaft had been improperly put back together and the new mechanic got all the same work done in less than half the time for for 190 bucks needless to say I feel screwed and will never do business here again I talked to the kid that did the work and all he had to say was that he stood behind his work and when I told home the new mechanic fixed it in 2 hours all he had to say is wow that's fast didn't offer any resolution to the problem read more

Cycle Gear in Woburn Before I begin, I need everyone considering using this business for repairs to know: This shop has an interior repair area as well as an EXTERIOR UNCOVERED repair area exposed to weather, elements, and THEFT. They keep many bikes outside in this fenced in area (visible from the street). This is where my bike was when vandals easily hopped their fence and stole my keys (the keys were kept in the gas tank lock, very smart guys) and cracked the plastic on my bike in the process (picture attached). For over a month, no one from North Reading Motorsports called to tell me that my keys had been stolen, bike vandalized, and that they were installing a new ignition switch, gas tank lock, and helmet lock on it because of this. It was only when I CALLED multiple times after OVER A MONTH of the bike being worked on that the truth came out. After Jon had told me the story (and before he rushed me off the phone), he said "I'm just being honest with you". That's not how honesty works, Jon. If the customer is the one who has to call to find this out, that's not being honest. There was a prior break-in through the front door in July-2022, where customers were not notified either (I sure wasn't). Service & Parts is very slow. Turn around time is more times than not is double what they say it going to be. Your machine will most likely sit for 3-5 days before they touch it. Yet I always schedule my drop-off's to avoid this but they can't seem to grasp the concept of time. If is going to take 2 weeks to fix it just say that! Don't tell me 3-4 days and then take forever because your losing the confidence I have in you. Parts will tell when you when the parts is going to be in and say that they'll call you by they don't. When you call yourself 2 days after they check and sure enough the part is in but nobody calls. I stopped going here because they can't get anything right and I hear the manager arguing and swearing with his employees in the back. read more

I had a VERY POOR experience trying to get a snow blower serviced. When I initially spoke with them they said they could help me. They made an appointment to come get my machine. On teh day they were supposed to come I confirmed with them at 8AM and waited around for 6 hours for them to come get my unit. When they didn't show by 2 PM, I called and was then told by another associate that they only service Ariens Snowblowers. Why couldn't they tell me that from the beginning? So disappointing to find that the people working there are totally clueless about what they will and will not service. Unbelievable to me how indifferent The manager was when I voiced my disappointment. I would not come here for anything after this experience. read more

At drop off after the snowblowers were serviced, he was kind enough to show me some additional items to look for each year for wear and tear and explained best practices for turning off the snowblowers. Never had any problems here. Fred sold me my first Vulcan for a low no haggle price without fees and even delivered it for free. I went in for the break in service which was done same day. I've been in for oil changes while I wait. Their lead tech is very knowledgable and thorough. On the ride over, the front tire began to crack and wasn't found until I got here. I had limited time to get the bike in to be fixed due to work.... When you purchase a new , top of the line motorcycle from a dealer you expect they will treat you respectfully when it comes time for service . I bought a bagger from them in 2004 , had all my scheduled maintenance done here for over 40,000 miles and purchased most of the farkles through them . I have always felt it's best to support your local dealer even if it is a bit pricier because they are the ones who will be there when you need them . There was always a problem with service . It would take a LONG time to get the bike back from SCHEDULED service work . I never complained about the labor costs and nearly always paid the bill in cash . On my next to last service , they had the bike in the shop for over two weeks for a scheduled routine service . I complained about this as I made my LAST service appointment with them and was assured that they would not let that happen again and would take care of the bike promptly . My bike was in the shop for twenty days . ( 48,000 mile service , change all fluids ,and a new rear tire ) The appointment had been scheduled a week in advance . Whenever I called they said they hadn't got to it yet , the bike was on the lift now , they were waiting for a part . Finally I'd had it and told them to write me up for what had been done and I was getting it NOW . When I got there they told me they were waiting for the tire . The service manager called the manufacturer and found out the tire was out of stock and would not be available till the following spring . The work performed there was generally mediocre . There is only one mechanic that seems to perform quality , reliable work and the others do not have the talent or desire to do high quality work . I have decided finally that I will not spend another cent at this place . This is too bad as i live within 10 miles from here and have since purchased two new motorcycles . I have gone to another dealer , out of state , and MUCH further away for my new bikes . It is amazing the difference in treatment . Service is scheduled in advance . The bike can be drooped off the night before or the morning of the service . They provide a loaner bike for the day the bike is being serviced , and with only one exception , the bike is ready on the same day . read more

I brought two Jet Skis in that had been sitting for 4 years. 1 ran 4 years ago, but not now. The other was dead then and now. The Tech I dealt with seemed very knowledgeable, he gave me a rough estimate, then called me up with a more solid estimate. The skis were done 1 day later than promised, but there was a lot of work involved. The price ended up being $65 less than what was quoted. I will continue to have them serviced there. read more

This shop is a joke. One of the parts guys doesn't know much at all about Powersports. The other is just rude and makes it a process to get parts. Brought my bike in to get running right over the summer took a pretty long time and seems like not much was done to it because it ran the same but the bill was plenty expensive. These guys are phenomenal. I bought a used bike off Craigslist and came here for a bunch of gear and to get it inspected. They didn't just sticker it, they even went over the bike and gave me some great advice and what to look out for in the future. Freddy is the owner and was a pleasure to talk to and work with. John is the parts manager I believe and was a great help in picking out gear. I'm all about getting a great price but would love to help out a brick and mortar place when I can. John gave me a great competitive price on everything, so not only did I get a steal but helped support a local business too. There are a couple things I want to do to my bike and their labor rate was more competitive and less expensive than almost every other shop I had checked out. About 4 years ago i brougth my 2001 800 drifter to their shop for a second time for yearly maitenance feeling that the turnaround time was swift and job was done right. This time i picked up the bike and noticed that their was a quarter sized dent in my tank. I reported it to The owner Fred who claimed he would have it tooken care in week and bring it back. So did and he gave me the run around telling me that i was the cause of the damage and he rufused to have it repaired. I was so disapointed in Fred for lying to my face. Its ok they lost a customer who would never bring his bike their for service and parts. When i picked up my bike that day i seen a very disorganized shop with bike crowded together as my gut feeling was they knocked over my bike.
