I was referred to Zia by a family member and what a great referral that turned out to be. With Zia's help it is my goal to avoid another cervical spine surgery as long as I can. This place is great! I was thoroughly impressed with the friendly staff and endearing doctors. They all make me feel right at home whenever I come in. Prior to my visit I had muscle soreness and back pain from doing Crossfit a few times a week. I was also experiencing minor knee pain from years of competitive swimming. I had never tried acupuncture before coming here but, the acupuncturist who goes by Dr. Z is fantastic. Not only is he hilarious, but he is extremely knowledgeable and really gets to the root of your problems to ensure a quick recovery. One of the masseuses, Erika, was really great. She focused on the areas that were bugging me and continuously adjusted my massage to my liking. Just after a few visits, my muscle soreness and back pain significantly diminished. My knee pain, which had been present on and off for a few years, is very minimal and I can now train with more intensity 5 days a week. They also have great herbs here. My mom has extreme nasal congestion and I figured I would buy her some nasal herbs to see if they could help any. After the first day, her congestion was 80% better! I have been seeing Dr. Main for almost a month now, and it has been a great experience. I started experiencing discomfort in my right hip, and have terrible shin splints (especially when I run, squat, and deadlift). The pain was becoming intense and impeding on my lifting routine. Dr. Main took the time to understand and listen to my issues and concerns. He then designed a plan to help relieve my pain, while keeping me active. I was visiting the San Pedro/Wilmington area for a work seminar and was staying with my cousin in Long Beach. He had an appointment with his chiropractor on my free day off and asked if I wanted to come along. I have my favorite chiro up in the bay area but I wanted to compare the southern cal. treatment styles. I'm very picky on my massage therapists, chirps, and acupuncturist but I was open to trying someone new. I'll break my experience down for you. This office was great and very welcoming. The front desk staff was very friendly and informative with the various methods of payment (cash vs. insurance) and my options. I just payed cash since I was on a quick visit. I never felt rushed which is a big deal for me, especially at a healthcare office. I felt very warm and welcomed. I did have to do an initial patient intake form which kind of sucked but I figured it was necessary. All the rooms are private which is another huge issue for me. I was put with Dr. Main for my chiropractor and he was amazing! Super friendly and very helpful. The adjustment was awesome and way more comfortable than my bay area chiro. The nice thing is Dr. Main did a number of different techniques which I never experienced before. He took time with me and never rushed my treatment. My cousin got a massage while i was getting adjusted so it work out perfect. For about 3 years I have suffered from headaches and horrible neck pain. After my treatment I felt no pain for over a month with no headaches at all. I called my cousin and thanked him for taking me with him because I felt so good; he just laughed. Also, I'm not sure what the one star review is talking about because everything I saw at the office was very clean and organized. My cousin says the massage therapists are "off the chain" and he goes every week same time, same place. Hi, my name is Krystle...and I am a soccer addict. I play at least 5 times a week, coach for the LA Galaxy youth camps/clinics, and just LOVE the game . To say I am obsessed with this sport would be an understatement. So, you can only imagine my dismay when I injured myself.... After playing for about 4 hours one day...I was getting shooting pain down in my lower ankle to the back of my knee. I just dismissed the pain and my injuries got EXCRUCIATINGLY worse. I tried everything from icing it to wrapping my ankle. However, whenever I pointed my toe to shot the ball or put pressure on my ankle...it was instant PAIN. My leg was just not having it; whenever I ran my knee/ankle would hurt.. and unfortunately running is a big part of soccer. Finally, I dragged myself to the doctors. The diagnosis was that... I had tendonitis in my posterior tibia (fancy word for inner ankle) that ran all the way up to the back of my knee. I was referred to a sport physical therapy clinic and did that for about a month- went all out with ultrasounds, massages, hot/cold compress, and some other fancy stuff that was suppose to help...BUT IT DIDN'T. Super frustrated, I was willing to try anything and everything to get better. I was still in a lot of pain whenever I played. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING was helping my injuries go away. And that's where Zia comes in... I had never tried acupuncture before and the thought of needles has always made me feel a bit squeamish/faintly. However, I was desperate for a solution and even sharp needles couldn't scare me...kinda Zia said he was on a mission to get me back and playing as soon as possible and I was certainly on board with that. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed through my entire first time experience with acupuncture. Zia is also a sports addict and even plays soccer too. So he understood and sympathized with me and on my need to get better quick! I was very confident in his more than capable hands and he certainly knew a lot about sports injuries. Zia explained to me the process of why acupuncture helps with injuries similar to mine-something about platelet rich plasma regeneration. I couldn't tell you the exact science behind it (For I am not the one with the Master's in Oriental Medicine from Berkeley) but I am sure any questions you would have...Zia would clearly and effectively answer them for you...the guy definitely knows his stuff! I didn't realize that extent and amount of needles I would have to withstand and to be completely frank it was a bit uncomfortable at first..but let me tell you THIS... IN THE END.. IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. Just within a few sessions, I kid you not...my ankle pains were ALREADY going away. Zia also recommended me some herbal supplements which really helped accelerate my healing process. He is so knowledgeable with sport injuries and is a great option for people opting away from the tradition surgery methods. I have never believed in anything, but now I believe in acupuncture. I am so thankful to Zia for treating my ankle and knee when I thought NOTHING would work. I am completely and truly amazed by the results. I have now recommend Zia's amazing acupuncture sessions to my teammates, friends, and even some of the kids I coach. I have been blessed to have services at Align Health for the last few months. The staff made me feel like family the first day I stepped in and waved my pinky "hello". Latoya is naturally gifted at explaining everything to do with the front of office, including the ipad sign in, and all the paperwork. All the waiting room clients benefit from her genuine demeanor and her happy heartbeat. To speak to the high quality of customer service she provides, she prefilled out all the forms for an elderly man that she knew had difficulty holding a pen, before he arrived at the office. So kind. The massage therapist places heat and expertly administers the massage tools for compete relaxation. I'm pretty sure I feel asleep on more than one occasion because her treatment was so thourogh. One never feels rushed. Even if you show up 15 minutes to close on a Friday, they'll not make you feel like you've inconvenienced them, but in fact they're happy to see you! Some clients like to hang out in the waiting room afterwards just to relax and chat and drink water. Now to speak of the bone cracking goodness of Dr. Main. He has healing hands, and he can whip the Rice Krispies right out of my neck. He asks questions and warned me about the NSAIDs medication I was taking daily to manage pain. I haven't taken it since. He happily recommend a quality brand of alternative anti inflammation systemic enzymes, when I inquired at my last visit. My neck rotation, my flexibility, and my overall health has markedly improved. So, as advertised, I have effectively "alligned my health" and that's all since I started seeing my Chiropractor twice a week. The floors looked like they have never been vacuumed let alone shampooed.. the blanket on the table was stained and made of thin sweatshirt material, the air conditioner unit had mold on it and the table's headrest was ripped to shreds.!! After having terrible muscle spasms in my shoulder for a couple of days and it began to interfere with work I was referred to Dr. David Main by family members who spoke highly of his work. I set up an appointment to seen for my spasms and from the time I walked in I was greeted by the friendly receptionist at the front desk until I received my therapy is was a great experience. Recently I've been experiencing some problems with my right knee and low back pain. I sit close to 8-10 hrs a day at my office job and noticed some back stiffness and calf cramping. I was referred by a friend that I should see her physical therapist, Betsy Insular. She was very thorough when I went in for my evaluation, did not rush and explained my condition in detail and what to possibly expect from Physical Therapy. After just a week of treatment, my knee started feeling better and with the stretches she gave me, the pain on my low back has almost completely gone away. I have been to Physical Therapy in the past for my shoulder from a car accident many years ago and all I remember was a quick in and out without any instruction. Another plus, is that Betsy would give me an exercise program to do at home such as stretches and give me tips on setting up my desk and chair at work so that I could prevent these problems in the future. Horrible service. I have been there twice and both times The Dr seemed to be too busy to take time helping you with your pain. Both times I received at most 3 minute treatment and then literally kicks me out. I told him my neck and back hurts. He said "what hurts more?" I said my neck. He said " oh ok, let's just concentrate on the neck. We can do the back some other day". My copay supposed to be $10 and he insisted it was $15. Even after I showed him my insurance paperwork. I won't recommend this chiropractor. It's a stress environment. read more

Zia approached me with acupuncture by making it easy for me - he visited me at home and when he came in, he sat me down and explained acupuncture and how it may help my specific condition, which he had researched beforehand, even sending me PDFs of information on my specific condition - a pull in my calf muscle called The Runner's Point. He sent me a four page article in the mail, then proceeded to explain it to me when he visited in a manner I could easily understand. He didn't waste a lot of time explaining, though, and soon he was sending needles methodically into my calf. There is no pain, but at times, there's a minor ebbing sensation. The whole visit lasted less than an hour and that was mainly because I was asking a lot of questions afterwards. So does it work? It seemed to help. I had been healing pretty quickly, but I was still having trouble walking after Zia had left. By the end of the day, about 8 hours after the session, I was able to walk with hardly a limp. I liked it enough to leave Zia the best review I could write. One thing that really compelled me was Zia's acute undestanding of physiology and anatomy. It was like speaking to a doctor and you could tell he really loves his work. read more

I came here about 2 months ago , with chronic pain on my banck. From lower , mid to top , including shoulders and neck. I was a total mess. I've had this pain for a few years now , and it started getting worse , and I was always skeptical about coming to a chiropractic. I been to a few before and never took care of me right and didn't feel like cared for me. Until a few weeks of non sleeping and horrible pain , decided to walk in to this office. They were really helpful and told me about all the procedures. They'll sit down with you and help you through all. It's been a few weeks now and I feel so much better than when I first came in. I'm still in a little pain , but I know my pain started to become chronic , so it'll take a few visits, but feel way better .. I even told my dad about how good I was feeling after , and he's getting the same results .
