They give you books to read, offer you drinks, and you feel VIP. A week later, a follow up zoom video call with Dr. John and associate and a finance person...any follow up call that needs a financial payment person is a huge red flag. LOL. I didn't have 30k for everything I needed done. I asked for a modified-what-is-absolutely-necessary procedure I need...give me an amount and they said they would get back to me. Of course, no one did. I emailed Connie a few times to follow up. They must not care to do minor work. When you're going through a cancer diagnosis, you want to heal. I was scared leaving this office and more scared after that zoom call. I pursued another bio dentist in Colorado Springs and asked Biodentist for my xrays and file. Called a couple of times to get it, no return phone call. It was $900 I spent so I didn't want to get more xrays at another dentist. After more calls and pleading with front desk lady, they sent them to my Colorado Springs dentist. Of course it was a file that you can't open. LOL. Good luck with this office. I am not a fan. I got my root canals taken out with my dentist in Colorado Springs and healing very nicely now 5/2022.

Dr. Fuller entered the exam room 15 minutes late and, it soon became apparent, unprepared. I had spent a good deal of time the two days prior to my appointment talking to several of his staff about his stem cell treatments and working with them to transfer the 2 MRI reports and images that I was able to provide (Only high marks for his staff!) He came in having obviously just skimmed the reports and, talking disturbingly fast, proceeded to tell me what they said - which I pretty much knew, having read them myself and discussed them with my PCP. His summary was partially accurate and decidedly incomplete. When I asked if he had looked at the MRI images, he said no, he did not have them. I explained about having arranged to include them, which he brushed off, saying, "Oh we wouldn't upload anything to our computers from a patient; we don't want to get infected with a virus." My reply (being an educated and experienced training consultant) was, "Well that would have been helpful for your staff to know." He then proceeded to discuss my treatment options: ... injections, PT, etc. When I interrupted to point out that I had already done that and was here to discuss stem cells procedures he looked shocked and said that no-one had told him that. At which point I couldn't help but offer that staff procedures and communication training might be helpful for that too. The rest was kind of a blur. Somewhere in there was about a 2 minute physical exam ("good reflexes!") ending with "my 20 minutes with you was interesting. Sounds like you're not too happy with us, so I don't think we have what you're looking for." At which point he stood up and extended his hand in a forced friendly farewell... which I ignored on my way out to my 90 minute return trip to Boulder. Probably my least productive, weirdest, most frustrating medical appointment ever. But after reading the other reviews here, not out of the ordinary for Dr. Fuller's office.

Every once in a while there is a little communication issue but you just have to be your own advocate and remember that the office has thousands of patients, so we need to be both the patient and have patience. He listens, answers questions, takes my entire health into account when weighing all the options and I just could not feel like I am in better more qualified and competent hands. I also appreciated that we tried PT and steroid injections prior to jumping to surgery - even if they did not grant me any relief. That said, the process as we got closer to my surgery date was great. The pre-op staff that calls to do the intake and then again, the day or so before surgery to review arrival time and how to get to the proper location is great and it is SO NICE to feel so supported. I went back to my regular ENT the following week and told him what had happened. He told me some patients that went to him and now have my regular ENT said he was very arrogant. My regular ENT said I have a small bone growth and it was nothing to worry about that was caused from swimming in cold water as a child. Dr. Opperman is very arrogant. I would not recommend him to anyone. I am so glad I am back with my regular ENT. I only went there because I couldn't get into my regular one that week. Upon scheduling the appointment, I was called back the same afternoon, informing me that my appointment needed to be moved because of snow that is forecasted. I was told that my appointment would be moved to the next available slot, some 3 hours later. Nevermind that once someone gives me a scheduled appointment time, a couple of things need to happen. 1. I have to schedule the time off of work, because like the vast majority of Americans, I have to work in order to survive. 2. I then move other appointments around so that I can accomodate this new appointment. When an appointment is rescheduled, I then have to go back and redo things all over again, and feel like an idiot having to change the time that I schedule off of work. All of this is bad enough, but when the very next day I am contacted to reschedule my appointment again, I have to draw the line. If patients cannot be accomodated, and expect to be seen when they are told they will be, then something needs to change. The receptionists hung up on me twice, and were giggling in the background while I was explaining my frustrations with them. Today, I am a feeling astonished. I have always spoke highly of this clinic, and today I was given a clear picture of what unprofessionalism looks like. As I mentioned before, I have never recieved anything less than stellar service from this location before. I walked into my appointment on 5/9/24 at Advanced Neurological not just to follow up on treatment, medications, & to get my recurring disability paperwork completed, but also to speak about feeling harmed by another physician I was referred out to (treatment abandonment). I left that appointment feeling harmed by this clinic directly. Knowing part of my appointment was filling out disability paperwork that ensures my continuance of disability income, the administration never told me that part of their policy change was that management would have to review all disability paperwork going forward and, at their discretion, would determine if they would complete the required paperwork, or if they would refer patients out to their primary physician to complete. It is unclear to me why a neurological clinic doesn't see themselves fit to complete disability paperwork for patients with neurological disabilities (and while after accepting payment no less) & who are currently in the social security disability process. It is further unclear to me why a neurological clinic would see a primary/general practitioner as more fitting for this. I digress. I was charged $150 for the appointment before being told this, which was thankfully and rightfully refunded to me. I cannot say if this would have been refunded to me had I not pressed that they just made my barrier to entry for ANOTHER PHYSICIAN to fill out my required paperwork in merely three weeks very difficult. Why are you making your patients add additional, very costly, physician appointments to their care schedules when this adds physical, emotional, and financial stress to their lives? And for those with insurance, why are you bloating our healthcare with unnecessary payments when you're capable of completing all of the required tasks a clinician treating a person with neurological disabilities should. This is common sense, I fear. I have had a severe increased in ALL disability symptoms since leaving my appointment. This was caused directly because of increased stress from this clinic's bizarre change in filling out paperwork and my disability paperwork possibly not getting done in time. I am not seeing this clinic, that accepts state Medicare and Medicaid funding, as catering to their patients with disabilities. People with disabilities are not safe being treated at this clinic. I was ensured by my treating clinician, Kate Kraus last year that she would be able to take care of the transferring of my medications over the phone. This was due to complications with so many other terrible physicians I worked with and financial issues with me being one of the 4.5 million Americans in 2023 who were unjustly removed from access to Medicaid. This clinic has made being able to continue the cruel process through SSDI as a disabled person so much more dreadfully difficult. Anyone dealing with a case such as mine should be cautious working with Advanced Neurological or Alexander Feldman, the owner. Also this office has no portal and works on fax machines with no email. How are elderly and disabled patients working well with this? This hasn't been the first complaint about this and I can see why Alexander Feldman opted to push disability paperwork off to other physicians, because these are not practices a trauma informed office who caters to people living with disabilities, and who are accepting state funds to accept those types of patients, should operate. Dr Feldman should be ashamed. Your office has left me with 3 weeks to get an appointment or my disability income gets discontinued while I wait to literally sue the federal government for its completely inability to even handle its own SSDI process.
