Ali's had been our place to go for cookie cakes which we bring to the kids' school when their birthday falls on a school day. I picked up four chocolate chip pecan and four coconut macaroons for $12 since I got the day old. I love coming here and checking out the day old selection which are on a shell on the right at the back of the shop. It is such a good value and we demolish the cookies with 24 hours, or else I will freeze if I get greedy and get too many. We ended up with half a baker's dozen (7 cookies) that came out to be $15 (rounded up with tax). I particularly liked my picks of the berries and cream, Southern red velvet, toffee crunch, and triple chip. All were very unique in their own ways and gave me a wowing sensation after each bite. The cookies were still great the next day and also the following. We were piggies and definitely ordered more than we could consume in one evening. Why not, we're supporting a local business. Are the workers here underpaid and overworked? I have been twice in the last 30 days and my experience has been the same. At this point I am not inclined to return. The employees don't smile and they're not friendly, when you ask a question they seem to act bothered. I understand teenage angst and modern day misery but can you at least smile while providing service? At any rate, the cookies and ice cream are delicious. Delicious! I've been to other Ali's Cookies before and these did not disappoint (may have been even better than the others?!). I stopped in to get a couple of dozen for my son's soccer team that was having a game nearby. The service was friendly and helpful (they recommended certain kinds and asked who they were for - good choices as they all disappeared in minutes) and everyone who worked there was very friendly.
