Cookie Cake

Cravings drive you out on the hunt! Searching far and wide! Chocolate-y smells bring you home to the queen of all bakeries! Ali's! Delicious, moist cookies; sinfully-sweet, richly-decorated cup cakes; birthday cookies piled high with colorful icing; candy boxes overflowing with sugary surprises! You say just one, but you can't stop there! The 1/2 dozen (sweet seven) temps you. But no. It'll leave you too bare. So you head for the full load..A dozen to go! Perfection! All wrapped up in a bow! Now you are satisfied! But it wont last! Tomorrow you'll be back, begging for more!

Cake in a jar! Brilliant for in the go, eat it later, or mail to someone special

It's so great have a superb local mom-pop cookie shop (but they ship everywhere!!! Just go their website! So you can live anywhere and enjoy their good stuff- www.shipacookie.com) They have just about everything to satisfy your sweet tooth: 1. PERFECTLY baked cookies. This is everything I want in a cookie- moist, chewy, not too sweet- and they have character! Red velvet cookie, pecan praline, Georgia peach, George Washington revenge, white chocolate macadamia nut, double chocolate, german chocolate-- just a small sampler. all are yum yum yum! 2. CAKE in a jar: what a friggin clever idea. Eat cake anywhere on the go (it even comes with a cute fork!) or SHIP it someone to let them know you care. 3. ICING Shooters. yup. a shot of decadent icing. Forget 5 hour energy drinks- this is way better 4. COOKIE CAKE BY THE SLICE: because you can't eat a whole one by yourself (well-- you could- it's that good... but should you? hmm....) BEST COOKIE slice of all the competitors out there. It's the perfect thickness, not too sweet- so moist, icing is spot on. You don't need to get cookie cake from anywhere else.... They will also customize the cake however you want (decoration/theme wise) They have a lot more- this is just the few things I sampled. I will definitely be back to try the other things. Oh- everything is Kosher (bonus for those that it matters to), and it doesn't affect the way anything tastes- you would never know otherwise!!!

Cute and fun vibe. Not the best cookies ever but the chocolate chunk was great. I would want to come back when they have more flavors

Good cookies, but the customer service is very poor. Teenage girls seem to be preoccupied with stuff outside of providing service.

The apple pie cookies have a great crackle on top and soft center. Gave these as gifts and they went over well!

For the best in the cake business in the Atlanta area, look no further than Lush Cakery! I…read moretypically never, ever care for wedding cakes... They're usually nothing special. But cakes from this shop are crowd-favorites! Everyone at my wedding raved about the cake, even months later people still brought it up. I highly recommend this business.

We had a great time tasting cakes with our wedding planner, Jordan Flowers of Wedding Belles, and…read moreKathryn ("Kat") Steed, sole owner and cake maker at Lush Cakery in Marietta. Jordan recommended Lush Cakery to my fiancee and me (our planner does not accept kickbacks, but instead passes on any discounts she may get on to us) and that is enough praise for me. My fiancee, through her own research, noticed that Lush Cakery has had a hand in a lot of nice weddings in Atlanta. She absolutely loves the look of Lush's cakes (she describes them as beautiful, fun, and creative). I asked Kat how many weddings she did last year and she told me, if I recall correctly, 185 (all by herself!). She doesn't plan on doing that many per year going forward, but she definitely has the experience and is well known in the Atlanta wedding community. Kat moved into a cute space just off Marietta Square a couple years ago. There's a retail space, open four days a week, and a tasting room, available by appointment only. The shop can also be booked for small events like bridal and baby showers. Kat was waiting for us promptly at our appointment time. My fiancee and I were accompanied by our planner for the tasting. The tasting room was quaint and charming. It reminded my fiancee of an attractive sitting room, like something you would see on HGTV. We got to know Kat and she got to know us. She let us swipe through cake designs on her iPad while talking to us about our wedding, our tastes/visions for our cake, and how our cake would align with our wedding overall. For example, we talked about the season of our wedding, whether it's going to be indoor or outdoor, etc. These kinds of things can affect the ingredients and flavors of our wedding cake. There was a menu at the table with Lush's most popular wedding cake flavors. We tasted the following six flavors: * Salted caramel * Amaretto white chocolate red raspberry * Triple chocolate hazelnut * Grand Marnier strawberries and cream * Cinnamon * Cream cheese pound with lemon curd Kat had the first five flavors in the list above ready to go on a plate for each of us. The last one was requested by my fiancee who was interested in trying the lemon curd after seeing it on the menu. My eyes lit up as I bit into these cakes. What impressed me most about them was actually not their flavor, but their consistency. Every single slice was perfectly fluffy and moist. They were tender and delicate with good crumb. Flavor-wise, they were sweet, but not too sweet. My favorite flavors were the salted caramel and the strawberries and cream. My fiancee's favorite flavors were the amaretto white chocolate red raspberry and the triple chocolate hazelnut. My fiancee thought both the strawberry and cinnamon tasted delicious, but were a little too simple for her tastes. The cream cheese pound cake with lemon curd was outstanding, but we agreed that we liked the lighter, less dense textures of the other cakes for our wedding cake. Everything we tried tasted great, so what it really came down to here was personal preference. We want a classic, elegant looking cake so Kat suggested a traditional three-tier round cake. We'll have it decorated with flowers from our florist, Julie Coffin of Unique Floral Expressions, who is one of the rock stars of the Atlanta wedding industry and whom Kat has worked many weddings with. We chose our cake and icing flavors, along with a fun design extra, and were quoted under $700 for our cake (tax and delivery included). The cake will serve 100. We'll have more than 100 guests, but there will be other dessert options too. Kat's quote is about $200 higher than another quote we recently received, so Lush is on the higher side. However, the other quote did not include an extra design element and the Lush quote also includes a "complimentary" anniversary tier a year after our wedding. A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a date. We received Kat's proposal via email quickly after our meeting. My fiancee had a question and it didn't take long for Kat to respond. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. Now we just have to make a decision! Throughout our wedding planning process so far, this has turned out to be the most difficult decision yet.

They are very responsive to online inquiries and voicemail messages. I ordered my birthday cake from her in October and I just picked up one yesterday for a baby shower and they both were absolutely beautiful and very unique. She is very reasonably priced. I gave her a price range and she made magic happen from there. Visit the website and you will see exactly what I am talking about. She is located in a store front in Marietta and she only bakes cakes and things out of the location. She doesn't sell anything there. She is definitely one of those word of mouth treasures....so I'm spreading the word!

Communication was difficult although if they read this I'm sure they will say different. I wanted the cake a day earlier than I needed it to avoid rushing around but even with almost 2weeks to set-up they wouldn't complete the order till the day of!!?? I asked about them delivering it and I was told don't worry we'll figure it out. I still went with them though because of her website and all the pictures of the amazing cakes she has done. In the end though the last day before I needed the cake I was told there's no way to get it done and to you by the time you requested. I offered money for delivery and brought up the fact that they kept me going to the last minute and how hard it had been to get intouch with them so I really needed them to come through....I was told by Candice that there's nothing they could do...In the end I should have been flagged by all the red flags I recieved along the way....Not worth your time..

I would typically not purchase a donut because I try and limit my sugar intake, but these donuts are the perfect size to try. They are all relatively small with incredibly unique frostings and toppings. While the shop is small, it does have a few small tables and chairs. After perusing the variety of donut offerings, I had to try and maple bacon donut. It tasted fresh and very flavorful. Jake, the individual working at the donut shoppe, was friendly and welcoming. He took the time to answer all of my questions, and suggested I return some time in the morning to try the donuts when they are warm. While I do not eat donuts frequently, I would definitely consider returning to try some of the other flavors, and I highly recommend Da Vinci's Donuts in downtown Roswell. Cheers

These donuts are delicious and they serve Jittery Joes coffee which I love! The donuts are small so you can get a couple of flavors which gives you some variety. I tried the lemon, coffee chip, and cinnamon apple. All three were really good and not overly sweet. That's always good in my book. The donuts are a cake texture and very light (not too dense). The owner was there and so friendly - we chatted about our kids and she invited us back again. The shop is a bit small but there were a couple of tables you could sit if you wanted and there are benches outside you could sit at too if you wanted.
