I wanted to update my review from 2022, as we still love Pie Bar! Unfortunately we live in Charlotte, NC so we can't get them as often as we would like. However, we do have family that lives within walking distance to the Marietta location. So needless to say, we always get some pie before heading home. I love the fact that they now offer ordering of slices and half/half pies, in addition to their full pies online. This time, I ordered two slices of four flavors. I asked if they would accommodate putting them in a leftover pie tin for easy travel, and they kindly did. The pies made it safely back to Charlotte! What we got: *Brown Sugar- this has always been our favorite, and still is. I now realize we just need a full pie of this each time! *Peanut Butter - nice creamy pb pie with whipped topping and a hint of chocolate flavor. *Smores - I can't decide whether I like this straight from the fridge or warmed up better. It is good both ways, but warmed up you get that traditional smores melted gooey flavor. *Peach - this was our first time trying the peach. I love fresh peaches, so I was excited to get to try it! It was peachy with a strong cinnamon flavor with the crumbles on top. Loved it warmed up with a little ice cream. Highly recommend Pie Bar if you are in the area. Service is always friendly and pies have been consistent all these years. Such an amazing small business to support! If they ever try shipping, I'll be the first online to support! We were in the market for a delicious dessert and stumbled across this place, needless to say, we'd be back again in a heartbeat! Not only was the location really lovely, lots of surrounding things to walk around and see, but it was also adorable and comforting on the inside, just like the pie! We were the only two people in the place and the service was fantastic. We were served right away and the staff was very friendly. On top of that, they also had some merch we took home and I now have the cutest sticker for my water bottle. The pie was probably one of the best things we ate on the trip. With the ice cream, it was even better. They didn't have a massive selection of flavors, but we did have a hard time choosing, even with the few options. What really stood out to me (besides the pie) was the focus on customer service. The manager was training a new employee and he was emphasizing some core customer skills which has been neglected by those younger in the service industry. The manager and female associate was attentive and really striving to provide the desired product. Now to the pie - The pie is made with fresh peaches with a good semi solid texture. The crumble was crumbly - very nice crunch and the pie was not overly sweet. I also doubt it had any artificial sugar - tasted pure without the preservative after taste. Parking could've been free if available, but due popular timing on a Friday evening the paid lot was the only convenient parking available - kinda pricey - but if staying in the area could be worth it. Heyyyyyy! I was so excited about treating myself to a slice of my favorite peanut butter pie and was a bit disappointed because it seems like the recipe has changed. Today it qas still flavorful, however it was strangely dense and thick- I had to really "use" my fork to get a bite. What happened? Is this a new pie? New baker? I'm so sad. They sell both savory and sweet pies and you can buy the pies by the slice or by the whole. They also have coffee and espresso drinks as well! Customer service was outstanding from lady at the register to the guy packing my order. They have many flavors of pie here. On this particular day, I saw flavors of peach cobbler pie, smores, key lime, toasted coconut, bourbon pecan pie, brown sugar pie, etc. I decided to get the peach cobbler pie and brown sugar pie. To my disappointment, the last slice of peach cobbler pie was already given to the customer before me. I guess the lady at the register mistakenly thought there was another one available or something. No biggie, it was an honest mistake. So I decided to get the bourbon pecan pie instead. I got my pie to go so I can eat it at the hotel because I was so full from dinner earlier. My honest ratings: Brown sugar pie: 8/10 - I love how they add flakes so sea salt on the pie as it helps cut down the sweetness of the brown sugar flavor. It was salty and sweet and together, created this umami flavor that I enjoyed every much. I could taste the brown sugar and it was just the right amount! It was very flavorful and I finished the pie in like 10 minutes. I just wish the crust wasn't as crumbly but that's my preference. Bourbon pecan pie: 6/10 - I really wanted to like this pie but the filling was just too much and too mushy for me. I felt like I was eating mushy jello. The candied pecans on top was delicious and I liked the flavor alot. However, did not taste much of the bourbon flavor at all. Maybe it was an off day or something but it wasn't as fresh as I hoped it would be. I would come back if I'm in the area to try different pies. Oh my goodness, we've been coming to Pie Bar for a while now and we will keep coming back! The pies are incredible! So so delectable. I can never get a picture because we always dig right into whatever we get lol. The crust is just like your grandmother would make, perfectly flaky and crisp and buttery. We love the seasonal options for both sweet and savory pies. And we really love the frozen options! Our go-to is the large spinach and feta quiche for breakfast throughout the week on occasion, or when guests are coming over. My husband also really enjoys the mini chicken pot pie. The employees are always so nice and helpful, and there is a bit of seating available if you decide to grab a slice. It's always pretty quiet due to the limited seating. Ordered pie bar for Thanksgiving 2021. Sadly, my visit did not feature a visit to the actual pie bar, and the menu was slightly condensed for the holiday, but I still greatly enjoyed my first pie from here and so did the family. The pie drive thru at their commissary kitchen was a cool experience and efficiently run, especially for the holiday season. I'm 99.99999% sure I learned about Pie Bar from Yelp and Yelpers so when I found myself in Marietta and in need of dessert, my car essentially started driving itself their way. Each slice is $4.65 and comes in a plastic container if you're not eating there. I figured I'd pick up three slices and have a little tasting party. Pumpkin praline, cherry crumble, and apple streusel were the lucky pies that got to accompany me home. I have to thank Lilly C. for pointing out the pumpkin praline in her review of Pie Bar Woodstock since it's a pumpkin pie for all of us who usually don't gravitate towards pumpkin pies. A unique spin on the squash treat, a sort of pecan-pie-meets-pumpkin-pie mashup. I approved, glad I gave it a shot. The apple streusel and cherry crumble pies were way respectable too; it's easy to see, well taste, why Pie Bar is so popular. The actual space is quite charming, and the women assisting me were very friendly and helpful. Parking seems to not be the simplest in these parts. But I lucked out and noticed several spaces on Powder Springs Street. Since there were other pies in the refrigerated case that looked tempting, I'm totally up for trying new slices if I'm again in the vicinity of a Pie Bar! read more

I actually found this place because the owner filmed an educational video at the William Root House making a pie and once I told my son, we knew we had to visit since it was down the road! It's about a 4-5 minute walk from the main Marietta Square. As soon as we walked in, a super sweet lady greeted us and asked if we have visited before or if it was our first visit. When we mentioned it was our first time, she kindly showed us our pie and drink options. Such a cute location! Outdoor seating available and a few tables and bar seating available inside. They offer merch for sale (T-shirt's, candles, mugs and more). They have pie by the slice or you can purchase an entire pie and also grab a coffee. They also have savory pies (shepherd's pie, pot pie, quiche) in the freezer you can take home. My family and I tried a slice of the apple streusel and the key lime. WOW! So so good! Delicious! Just baked the chicken pot pie I bought. It was really excellent, one of the best I've ever had. Fortunately, there were not too many peas and carrots, which I detest. The amount of liquid was perfect, and their crust is delicious. Really enjoyed it. Not as thrilled with the beef and mushroom pie - too many mushrooms and not enough beef. Also, pleased they sell just their pie shells. I used it to make a pecan pie, and, although people liked the butter flavor, two people commented that they thought it was kind of thick and a bit chewy..... The guy at the counter was awesome! He was super engaging and very knowledgeable regarding the various pies they offered and giving details on the taste of each. My daughter had the cookies and crème pie, I had pumpkin, my wife had the apple and my friend's had variations of those. These pies were phenomenal! They were the perfect start to our day. The flavor of the pumpkin was complex and layered. It was sweet and subtle. Just writing this, I wish I was back there and had another slice lol the place is super cool with various things you could purchase from teas to jams. If I was secret shopping this business I would give them a 100 just off her personality. They picked the right person to woman the counter! Price point: 5 stars: 3 slices of pie will set you back $13-$14 and change. Taste: 2 stars: it wasn't a big hit with my kids because it tastes like real pie. This tastes like "real pie", natural ingredients. For an adult star rating on taste I give 4 stars. Although I was eating pie, I felt healthy eating it. This pie has ingredients you can actually pronounce vs throwing a Mrs Smith pie in the oven. This pie you don't feel bad about eating unlike getting a mini pie at publix that you know is loaded with sugar and preservatives. Cleanliness: 5 stars: cute little shop that's well maintained. Parking: 2 stars: good luck with that! You can double park someone quickly, you can park at church's chicken and quickly get back to your vehicle, or loop around several times until you find parking on the street. Pie Bar is about a block off Marietta Square, but it is a must-eat treat in my opinion. The front windows welcome you and immediately set the tone for the experience awaiting inside -friendly, local and cute. The shop is small, which feels intimate but also means it is quite crowded as well as people eat and pick-up pies. The case of pies is not grand or overwhelming. I think they had 8 pie choices when I went, which I believe is plenty of choice. Pie flavors included apple streusel, blueberry crumble, butter chess, peanut butter, chocolate chess, key lime, mocha cream pie and bourbon pecan.  Me and my friend got blueberry crumble and chocolate chess slices. You can get individual slices or the whole pie. Both were delicious, but i thought the chocolate chess was just a bit better. It was wildly fudgey and tasted great warmed just a little. We ate ours slices there and enjoyed a cup of chai (tasted great with both slices) and a cold brew. Neither drink was a "must" but accompanied the pies well. There is also a water station if that is more your speed. The menu also includes a cup of milk for $2. Price wise, I thought this was a very reasonable snack. Less than $5 per slice for the pie. The whole pies are around $32-38, which once again - I am happy to pay for something homemade. They source a lot of their ingredients locally, which is an added economic and environmental bonus. Other than the pie, they have some merchandise that would make great gifts like the pie mix + filling kit and a delicious smelling candle (maybe for your less baking-inclined friends and family!) read more

Finally tried the Marietta location. I've been eyeballing it every time I drive through the square, so I finally ordered a pie. I ordered delivery, was filled with anticipation, and then, was elated when the pie arrived. Not only did I get a pie, but a serving utensil to boot! Sounds lame, but this was such a bonus! I'm sure the pie is more important to you though. The pie was delicious. I can't eat most of their selections because of a lactose free life, but the apple pie was lovely. The flavors are definitely best if you organize you bite to include top to bottom: sweet, tart, hint of caramel, and nice texture with the topping. Love the pie and service! read more

I was honestly so shocked at the amount of baked goods about product available for purchase. During my visit I had the apple streusel and my mom had the bourbon chocolate pecan. The apple streusel is by far the best piece of apple pie I've ever had. The streusel topping compliments the apples so well without being overly sweet which can be tough to do. I'm not a fan of pecan pie, but I did like the blend of pecan and chocolate. My mom, who is extremely difficult to please when it comes to baked goods, said that the pie was worth shipping to her all the way in Ohio! The customer service was also on point. The two girls that were working that day were super friendly and helpful in giving suggestions and telling us about how Pie Bar got started. These ladies know pie. I stopped in today after running errands on a rainy Saturday and learned about them on Grub Hub of all places, and had to try them. It's a small, quaint spot in downtown Marietta near the Square. Parking can be a little bit of an issue but the pie is amazing.
