a white cake with pink flowers and greenery
    Susanna S.

Kat was absolutely incredible! We needed an elopement cake in a short period of time and she was very accommodating. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we weren't able to test taste her cake. We decided on a flavor based on what we knew we liked and her most popular flavor. We got the vanilla cake with raspberry and white mouse. We got the cake a few days before the elopement and I was worried it wasn't going to be moist on the day of. Kat reassured me that it will be moist and boy was she right! It was amazing. It's one of the best cakes I've ever tasted. It was so good we bought another one the following week! She is so professional and her store is absolutely adorable! I can't rave enough about her cakes!

Are you able to just walk In and purchase slices of cake?

Hi Lauren! If you would like to order a slice just shoot me an email and I will make sure to have a variety that week. It has been a slow winter season but I plan on doing slices again when Spring arrives :)

We also got the Ned Kelly pie which was super tasty - beef and egg! We selected a couple of pastries to go and I highly recommend the rum balls....they were absolute chocolate heaven! The bread in the sandwich was super soft and the meat pies were soft and flaky crust. The shop is in an old building which was very cool. There was plenty of room inside and out on the sidewalk for seating. Everyone working was very friendly - answered questions and nice to chat with! We grabbed some Tim Tams for the road and those were so good too! Definitely will go back again soon!

Because of that, I wasn't sure what to expect this time. I'm glad I gave them another chance. The fish and chips were excellent crispy, flavorful, and probably some of the best I've had in the past few years. The fish was cooked well, and the chips complemented it nicely. I also tried what they call dim sum. It was okay, but it didn't stand out the way the fish and chips did. Based on this order, I'd definitely come back for the fish and chips. If you weren't impressed by breakfast like I was, I'd still recommend giving them another try because the lunch menu left a much better impression.

However, we do have family that lives within walking distance to the Marietta location. So needless to say, we always get some pie before heading home. I love the fact that they now offer ordering of slices and half/half pies, in addition to their full pies online. This time, I ordered two slices of four flavors. I asked if they would accommodate putting them in a leftover pie tin for easy travel, and they kindly did. The pies made it safely back to Charlotte! What we got: *Brown Sugar- this has always been our favorite, and still is. I now realize we just need a full pie of this each time! *Peanut Butter - nice creamy pb pie with whipped topping and a hint of chocolate flavor. *Smores - I can't decide whether I like this straight from the fridge or warmed up better. It is good both ways, but warmed up you get that traditional smores melted gooey flavor. *Peach - this was our first time trying the peach. I love fresh peaches, so I was excited to get to try it! It was peachy with a strong cinnamon flavor with the crumbles on top. Loved it warmed up with a little ice cream. Highly recommend Pie Bar if you are in the area. Service is always friendly and pies have been consistent all these years. Such an amazing small business to support! If they ever try shipping, I'll be the first online to support! For now, I'll be dreaming about the next time I get to have their pies!

Not only was the location really lovely, lots of surrounding things to walk around and see, but it was also adorable and comforting on the inside, just like the pie! We were the only two people in the place and the service was fantastic. We were served right away and the staff was very friendly. On top of that, they also had some merch we took home and I now have the cutest sticker for my water bottle. The pie was probably one of the best things we ate on the trip. With the ice cream, it was even better. They didn't have a massive selection of flavors, but we did have a hard time choosing, even with the few options. We also loved they had not only sweet pies, but savory as well.

Handmade flour tortilla folded into a large taco with scrambled eggs, avocado, Salvadoran sour cream, and refried beans. Simply delicious. As you walk in, there's a case of bakery-type items along the wall and butter-creme frosted cakes displayed under the order counter. I asked the man behind the counter if they have cooked food. They don't, but he offered me the alternative to what I had described, a torta. If you're as "American apple pie" as I am, looking around the shop, its easy to confuse a "torta" with a "tarte" or pastry. The "torta" here is a pressed sandwich, filled with meat that he called 'turkey ham' (he assured me that it was not pork), onions, tomato, cheese, avocado and jalapeños if you can handle 'em. While I waited for the young lady to make my torta, the gentleman offered me a choice of complimentary baked treat to try. Who here doesn't love a free sample!? Ok! He rattled off some of the names, but had me at cheesecake! I took them both to-go, mainly because, although there was a cooler full of cold drinks and soda, I couldn't find a hint/whiff of coffee in the place. I would've asked but I'd reach my personal 'question quota' with the sandwich. DELICIOUS, by the way! I like that the press left the bread crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and all the sandwich fixins were still crispy & cool-not soggy or melty. The cheesecake looks kinda like a lemon square, has a cookie-cake texture bottom crust and a 'cheese danish' type filling that's nicely browned on the top. The serving is big enough to split for now & later-which I had every intention of doing. But, I mean, who was I kidding?! It was YUMMY. This place is fairly new, so I hope it'll add hot drinks (if it doesn't already have them...) and a to-go menu with descriptions, so I can decide what I want to try, ahead of my next visit.
