Candied Apples, grilled corn and your standard Sausage and Peppers stands. The prerequisite sock and jewelry vendors were there as well. I don't know if it's a new trend, but there were lots of BBQ stands in attendance. One, with a huge smoker and brisket. It was impressive. But I already had my mouth set on getting a lobster roll from Luke's Lobster, so I didn't partake. I think I'm going to regret that by tomorrow when fair is gone. I just satisfied my obsession with grilled corn, bought a "Big Skinny" wallet and some refrigerator magnets. But I did have my eye on some bonsai trees and rugs. Maybe next time.

While roaming along upper west side I notice the busy fruit stand and grabbed a few things before heading back home .Good selection of fruits and veggies and I was able to get apples , oranges , bananas, plums, baby carrots , tomatoes, celery , and a few other healthy items for under 40 bucks and the 2 stuffed plastic shopping bags are heavy but well worth it . Good stand to have in the area and from the crowd , it's not debatable. 4.5 stars on my yelp meter .
