Raspberry croissant and a hot cappuccino. Here Pura Vida does not have skim or low fat milk. As I don't care for oat or almond milk in hot coffee I had to settle for whole milk. Lots of delivery orders are being done. Customer service is good here as a few people came up to ask if I needed anything extra. The first bite of the raspberry croissant was a little hard but now it's fine. The raspberries are oozing flavor and the pastry cream inside is also tasty. I could eat another.

I'm happy to see that pura vida opened in NY. If you are familiar with them, then you already know the food is expensive for being a casual place. Whether that's worth it to you is your call. It is to me- I like the high quality ingredients. It was a long wait for the food but the math is simple: they had a line at the register and were also doing takeout orders. It's only so big of a place. I think expanding the restaurant to be bigger would ruin the charm and was fine with the 15 min wait. If you just want instant food or don't like lines then maybe don't come. This is a Miami gem and I am so happy to be able to indulge it in while in NY. The interior is adorable, and I smiled big when I saw the fringed umbrellas while walking up to the door - I could spot those a mile away!

Wanted to like this place given the hype and popularity but ended up underwhelmed. Waited in like for 15 minutes which from what I understand isn't too bad for a Sunday brunch. Ordered two bowls and two coffees but they got my order wrong and only one drink came out. But this was fine cause even though I said 2 drinks and they only inputted 1, I got the one I was charged for. Managed to get a seat and the first chicken bowl came out about 30 minutes after ordering which was very long but fine. The second bowl never came and we had to ask two separate people before the second bowl came out at around 45 minute mark. The bowls themselves were good but the crazy wait was too much and soured our experience. I understand it was busy but customer inflow control may have helped to make sure the adequate staff coverage to handle the orders coming in. The location itself was bright and clean. While the order took long to come out, they were very quick to take our bowls away the moment we were done. 2.5/5 would be my more accurate personal review though rounding up cause the food was still good.

This is my second time going to this location and I had a much better experience. The first time the establishment was extremely crowded and I waited a long time to receive my order. This time around, there was no crowd and I was able to get my order and sit down. I always order the gluten-free kale chicken Caesar wrap and you honestly can't even tell that it's gluten-free, which is why I love it. They always give me a side of fruit instead of the pita chips. It is on the pricier side for a wrap, but that is most places in New York City. This location is a bit smaller than the other one that I've been to, but they seem to allow people to work there and offer free Wi-Fi, which is nice.

Food was too expensive for the quality that you get. The portions seemed to be okay but with a fast casual sit down I would think that the prices would be a little lower Service was great and all the staff were super friendly. I came for a quick lunch break and while sitting was checked on multiple times

One of my favorite spots in the city! It's a great place for a post-workout meal, lunch, brunch, or catching up with a friend. They also have plenty of outdoor seating. Highly recommend

Delicious fresh ingredients featuring bowls, wraps, salads and smoothies. The service and hospitality were excellent and we loved our lunch choices! Had a perfect cappuccino too. The restaurant is light and bright and we can't wait to return!

Terrific salads, but it's best to order in advance via the app because there was always a long line here during lunch EVERY time I walked by for a week! Their salads and smoothies are terrific. I really liked their large menu of fresh, healthy, creative offerings, which makes it great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is seating indoors, as well as lots of shaded seating outdoors, which I really liked. Great for people watching while you chow down, but you have to be quick to claim a table. My friend and I came at just the right time, so we snagged one. They really need to come up with a better order pickup system, however, because you have to wait indoors where it gets kind of crowded, and listen for your number, which you might miss. I recommend the restaurant start using those plastic buzzers instead.

Pura Vida Miami finally opened near my job! There's usually a long line during lunch, but thankfully I can order ahead through the mobile app now. A coworker recommended the spicy tuna bowl, and honestly, it was delicious -- I was obsessed with the spicy aioli sauce/dressing. That said, $26 felt a little steep. I love that they offer so many healthy options, but overall, it's definitely on the pricey side.

Stopped in for breakfast before work and there was no wait! The food came quickly and the service was superb. Everyone was so attentive and accommodating. It was delicious and healthy so I felt great heading into my day. Would definitely recommend the empanada with the aioli.

Love the place! Got the egg sandwich, which came with an incredible bagel and a spicy sauce on the side that was amazing. Solid cortado as well. My partner got the salmon bowl which she loved. They had a solid smoothie as well. Sunday morning is Wild West - you have to stand around and fight a bit for tables, which was not ideal. But came back on a Monday and it was great. Vibe is quite nice as well.

I was pleasantly…read moresurprised to find out they had a location in New York City, so I obviously had to give it a try. There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space. I wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying what might be the best sandwich I've had in years.

The menu inside breaks down all of the sandwhiches, you roll up to the deli counter when they say next, spill out your order (add/remove stuff to your order) and you're done. The most overwhelming thing is deciphering the Italian sandwhich menu. I hit up the Italian Hot. Pretty decent! I added sun dried tomatoes...but it would have been just as good without it. Be PREPARED this Sammie has some chili honey liquid /oil sauce they put on it and it's tasty but it's a lot. The staff are friendly - just focused on getting your order and getting it to you so you can enjoy. The wall is pretty interested they have made their own decor out of door panel fixtures.

Fortunatley the place was pretty quiet since it was 2pm and I got my orders in. For sandwiches, I ended up getting the Favolosa and the Italiana. The favolosa had a delicious artichoke cream and salami that was a banger. The italiana had all your great italian cured meats as well as a truffle cream sauce that made the umami bomb even more umami. So good! Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.

Why they hid it all the way in the back, I have my assumptions and suspicions. I had to get an order of soup dumplings here so I got the Crab Soup Dumplings ($15). The skin is a bit thicker than other spots, but that means the skin ain't going to break on you easily. Soup dumplings was not going to fill me up along, so I got something off of their lunch menu and settled upon Orange Chicken w Brown Rice ($18.50). Chicken was white meat, which is battered and deep fried. It says it was spicy, but it really wasn't. Comes with a vegetable spring roll and a choice of rice, which makes this a pretty decent lunch deal for $20. Menu prices are cash prices. If you pay with a credit card, they will slap a 2% processing fee. Overall, service was pretty decent as well. Would come back again for lunch.
