I really enjoyed the office and the dentist as they were all kind but the quality of care was just not up to par. My son's cavity was filled and when he complained of sensitivity he was told it takes 3-6 months for nerves to settle. He didn't eat on the side of his mouth for almost a year. She truly takes the time with every patient and has done so with me to be thorough in seeing what issues might be present and could worsen. I also found that she laid out all my options before starting and educated me not only about how to maintain a clean bill of dental health, but what was going on. They had me do all the leg work of dealing with the insurance company (calling them to get a fee schedule and proof that I was assigned to their office sent over to them). This included several calls and emails on my part, something I've never had to do at any other office. They charged me $150 even though my fee schedule says re-cementing a crown costs nothing. The crown I brought them had fallen out three days prior and was perfectly in tact. They did nothing but take two x-rays of the tooth and re-cement it. No cleaning, no numbing, nothing else. They refused to give me anything in writing, I was not provided an invoice, or the fee schedule they were pricing off of despite asking several times. I should not have paid, I should have just left, but I was overwhelmed and on the spot so I paid money I most likely didn't owe. First and last time there, I cannot recommend against this office enough. read more

Really sad to have to say this after nearly 10 years of seeing Dr. Boniadi that I was disregarded as a "valued patient." I visited the office in December 2017 and paid for over $1200 worth of work. I had to go back in January 2018 twice because a filling fell out. I called to make my six month appointment in May 2018 and was informed that they no longer accepted my insurance as of 1/1/18. After nearly 10 years I was floored that no one had bothered to call me or even inform me when I was in the office on 3 separate occasions. Once before the effective termination date and twice afterwards! I was informed by the front desk person (very rudely) that it was not the doctors office responsibility but insurance's responsibility to inform me. How's that for customer service? I called my insurance company who informed me that in fact Dr. Boniadi was still active with them and that it is the responsibility of the office to inform their patients. I called back her office to share what I had learned and my feedback on how disappointing it was to be treated like I didn't matter as a long term patient to even send me an email regarding the changes. I was informed that the insurance was wrong and perhaps it was the other Dr. Boniadi that still accepted my insurance (her husband) and was asked if I wanted to speak to the doctor. I said yes. To this day (more than a month later) I have not heard a peep from the doc or any office manager apologizing for the miscommunication on behalf of the clinic. I really liked this doctor and beyond being disappointed that they terminated my insurance (which of course is a business decision) I'm more disappointed in how unprofessional, rude, and how little they cared. read more

BEWARE of up-selling. I was told I needed a crown on a cracked filling. The tooth already had a crown and no filling which is why I got second opinions. I went to two other dentists who told me the crown was not cracked. They showed me digital pictures of the crown so I could see there were no cracks. Be sure you ask to see photos of cracks in fillings or crowns before you get any work done. This office is not the only place that up-sells work. read more

My dentist retired and I was referred to this dentist by a friend. He had had no negative experiences with this dentist. I was excited to find a new dentist, as my previous one was one of the best. The staff here was polite and welcomed me. I'm not sure if any other patients were there, but I didn't see or hear anyone else. I was there for a total of 1 1/2 hours, which is excessive in my opinion. The girl who cleaned and scraped my teeth was friendly and I have nothing against her, but she did cut my tongue with the tool and it bled for the rest of the time I was there. This has never happened to me before. But the biggest red flag to me was the dentist, Dr. Boniadi spent less than 5 minutes with me and told me I needed two new crowns and two fillings. She told me I had a cavity under a crown and that another crown was chipped and needed to be replaced. They wanted to start the work that day, but I had a work meeting to go to so it didn't work. I felt a lot of pressure to get the work done soon, as they told me I'd need a root canal if I didn't act quickly. I scheduled my appt for one week later. Then the front desk woman gave me a verbal quote of $1095 per crown ($2190 for both) and $395 per filling ($790 for both). I assumed this was before insurance, but she told me this was my out of pocket *after insurance has been taken into account. That was almost $3000 if you include my $50 copay. The dentist asked me a few times if I had sensitivity in my teeth and I kept telling her no. It felt like she wanted to convince me that my cavity was really bad. But the only pain was my tongue that was cut with the dental tool. I asked for a written quote with what needed to be done, but they only wanted to give me verbal. After my appt I talked to friends and family and they said to get a 2nd opinion. I found another dentist who would do a free consultation. The next day I called Dr. Boniadi's office to get a copy of my X-rays sent. I told them $3000 is a lot of money and I'd feel more comfortable getting a second opinion. After I told them that and said I was going to wait on my appt with them they started getting irritable with me. The girl at the front told me she'd been running back and forth all day and she just didn't have time to send the X-rays by when she promised. I told her that was fine and by end of day was fine. I again requested their quote in writing but she said she would only email me my X-rays. I did receive them and sent them to the 2nd opinion dentist. Fast forward to that appt, I had a much better experience. I will be giving that dental office a glowing review soon. The 2nd opinion said that 1. I only have one crown. I do not have any cavity under the crown like Dr. Boniadi had said. In fact I did have one small cavity, but Dr. Boniadi didn't catch that one. 2. This other dentist also said that what is chipped is an old filling and that it was so small, a crown would not be needed at all. She would just refill with filling. I came out from the 2nd office with a written quote of $764, which is before insurance. They said they would contact my insurance and confirm what would be paid and provide me an update once they hear back. Bottom line: sadly, even though she was referred to me by someone I trust, I had a horrible experience with Dr. Boniadi. I would not recommend her to anyone. This seems fraudulent to me and I wish I would've read her reviews prior to my appt because her office only caused me stress, false information about my teeth and a whole lot of stress. It's very suspect when a dentist tells you you have two existing crowns when you only have one. I knew I only had one, but she got me believing I must've forgotten. I feel so much better after getting a second opinion. I highly recommend choosing a different dentist than Dr. Boniadi. I hate writing bad reviews, but I worry someone may get work done from her when it's not at all needed. read more

She knows what is right for your teeth and she is really gentle during the cleaning. She has special mouth washes and tooth paste that really help your gums, I've done the teeth whiting she offers and now I'm just about to start invisalign and I'm really excited! I went to Dr. Boniadi to get a second opinion as another dental practice had told me I needed a 'deep scale cleaning'. Dr. Boniadi had so much makeup on if she had smiled, it would have cracked her face. She kept brushing her hair back out of her face. I thought she was trying to be a fashion as opposed to a dentist. Before measuring my gums / pockets or even look at x-rays, she told me upfront that if I was there to dispute another dentists opinion of me needing a deep scale cleaning, that her diagnosis would validate the original dentists and she would refuse to dispute another dentists diagnosis. Wow. Without reading my xrays or measuring she came to that professional decision. My assessment is Dr. Boniadi should pursue her obvious dream of being a fashion model. She would make a lot more $ and leave dentistry to her colleagues who can operate with intergrity and perform great dental work without ripping people off. I highly recommend Dr. Hi Pong Lee in Aliso Viejo, CA He does not wear makeup nor swish his hair back every 5 seconds. Nor does he have stock in a cosmetic line. I had a tooth that had a cavity that she ground down, I asked her before she put the crown on was she going to build the tooth up a bit? She said it is fine, well I have had a lot of dental work done, and I knew other Dentist would have build the tooth up. She put the crown on, and about a year later the tooth broke off, it was right next to a three tooth bridge. This was back in about 2009, but I just found her card in a very old purse of mine.
