I played basketball about 8 years ago here with a buddy who had a membership. Unfortunately, I was too banged up to exercise. Such is the fun of getting younger. Guest rooms are contemporary design with a lean into modern. The Kevin Murphy bath products are exceptional. There is a desk space, coffeemaker and we had a pool view. The bed was MEDIUM firmness level and had 4 pillows that were fairly supportive. We had the two queen's room. It was very quiet. STAFF are polite and helpful. The garage is pretty huge and long. It did not read easily upon entry as I didn't know if they meant "hotel guests park on level 2 and above" or "above ground level". The garage elevator is also confusing. Normally B1 and B2 would be fully underground. Use a "G" for ground floor next time. The $35.00 for parking is hefty for the Aliso Viejo area but the location is isolated amongst corporate buildings, so they have you stuck with it. Grab-and-go food looked pretty good at the coffee bar. Starbucks is okay, but Philz and Peets are better.

They also have two Jacuzzi one for kids and one for adults. They do have a restaurant called citrus Grill, which you do need to order but then you can bring it out to the pool deck and eat. We did order from there and the food was great. The food price is high, but that's just typical of any hotel and you're really paying for convenience. But the food was delicious. I would say the amenities of this place is amazing because they also have an amazing gym which unfortunately I was not able to use since I was doing a staycation with my seven year-old. They do have a kids club, but you have to pay $40 for an hour. My son really didn't wanna do it so I skipped the gym this time. But definitely next time I wanna check out the gym because it looks amazing with so many different classes and just really nice facility. The nice thing also is that you can use the amenities once you check out and then they have locker rooms or we can take showers and get dressed and then head home! We got a two queen bed, hotel room, and it was very nicely designed, very clean, and very comfortable beds. The only odd thing is that the shower is a standup shower and there's no door so just be prepared for that They have a Starbucks, a full bar and a restaurant on property. Also what I love about this location is there is a huge shopping center nearby which also includes a bowling alley. So we spent the day at the pools and then the afternoon we went bowling! It was a great time. Now is it worth $450 for one night? I would say it seems pretty standard for this area and summertime and all the amenities that's included. Would I stay here again? Oh for sure. My son was so entertained and he was so happy!

You always hear stories about how stressful weddings can be, but honestly, that wasn't our experience at all. We felt so at ease and comfortable throughout the entire process, and a huge part of that was because of the amazing Wedgewood team. Kimberlyn and Maya were incredibly helpful throughout all of our meetings, emails, and text messages. I had A LOT of questions throughout the planning process, and they were always patient, responsive, and willing to help. They made us feel supported every step of the way and made the entire planning process feel manageable and enjoyable. On our wedding day, we had Kimberlyn as our wedding coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing! She took charge of everything and made sure things ran smoothly so we could actually enjoy our day. We were busy taking photos and soaking in the moment, so it was such a relief knowing that someone was confidently handling everything behind the scenes. One thing we especially loved was that Kimberlyn wasn't shy about taking charge. She made decisions for us when needed, gave directions to our guests, and confidently handled situations without constantly needing to come to us for every little thing. We genuinely LOVED that because it allowed us to stay present and enjoy our wedding instead of worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. We also brought in some vendors that Wedgewood doesn't partner with, and even then, the team did an amazing job coordinating and working with them. It really showed us that they weren't just there to handle their own part of the wedding -- they truly helped make sure the entire event came together smoothly. The food was also AMAZING! Everyone at our wedding raved about how delicious everything was. We received so many compliments from our guests about the food throughout the night, and so many people told us how much they enjoyed their meals. It was honestly one of the highlights of the wedding and something our guests continued talking about! Our DJ, Montessa, was also fantastic at her job! She helped us put together playlists for our cocktail hour, ceremony, reception, and dinner, and everything flowed beautifully. Our nighttime point person, Lily, was also incredibly attentive throughout our entire reception and dinner. She constantly checked in on us to make sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. She made sure we were taken care of with our food and desserts, helped make sure we had food to take home, and even kept an eye on our drinks so they were always full. She was so thoughtful and attentive, and it really made us feel cared for throughout the night. Overall, our wedding experience was everything we hoped for and more. It was easy, organized, comfortable, and incredibly stress-free. We felt like we were in good hands from the very beginning all the way through our wedding day. We are so grateful to Kimberlyn, Maya, Montessa, Lily, and the entire Wedgewood team for helping make our wedding such a beautiful and memorable experience. The next room over was perfect for a small play bouncer. No kitchen area. The catering company all had to set up outside in the already limited parking lot area. The pavement was in ruin. We have always come to the Marine protected area when the tide is low and walked along the beach and sand outside the Institute to see all sorts of sea life. It is amazing what you can see, even saw an octopus one time. Just make sure that you know when the tide is rolling in and out to not get caught out on the rocks! On the backside of the Institute there are also benches to sit at and listen to the ocean. The Institute itself is filled with wonderful sea life and is a great learning experience no matter your age. Outside, there is a calm bay area where paddle boarders are all over as well as the educational ships filled with history. There is nothing that you cannot do in this area!

Communication leading up to our wedding was consistently poor. Emails and messages often went unanswered for days, which created a lot of unnecessary anxiety during an already stressful time. During our final walkthrough, Ciara reassured us that we would not be rushed to remove our belongings after the wedding and could even return Monday or Tuesday. She specifically shared that she had been rushed after her own wedding at this venue and did not want to do that to us. Unfortunately, the day after our wedding, that is exactly what happened. Our vendor arrived during the 12-2 p.m. pickup window we were given, only to find the venue locked. After multiple unanswered calls and texts, Ciara arrived nearly an hour later, resulting in our vendor charging us for the wait. At that same time, we were suddenly told all of our belongings needed to be removed that day, giving us essentially an hour to figure it out; completely contradicting what we had been told during our final walkthrough. Our wedding itself was wonderful, but the lack of communication and follow-through caused so much unnecessary stress before and immediately after it. As beautiful as the space is, based on our experience with management, we would not host another event here or recommend it to friends or family.
