We had our wedding here and absolutely loved it! Every couple has their own taste and vision of their big day and we leaned towards a modern, sophisticated, formal, and fun vibe. First off, AV Irvine is HUGE! It's a sprawling two story building with one main event/reception area. It's the type of space where there is so much possibility but takes the right team to execute the client's vision. We worked with our design team and coordinators at AV to warm up the reception space (draping and lighting does wonders). Strategic table setting also makes a huge difference. We were blown away during the reveal on our wedding day and we had many guests compliment on how beautiful everything looked. What really sold us on AV was well... the AV system! The giant screen and lighting totally help set the mood of our wedding. We even met with the AV guys beforehand to discuss the different lighting transitions throughout the evening. The quality of the screens were super sharp and we were able to put up customized logos throughout the night to go along with the festivities. And of course the sound system was bumping!! Perfect sound quality and created the environment for everyone to dance! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all in different areas for our event. The flow of the evening was seamless and I was glad there was no need to "flip" areas as some other venues need to do because of spacing. The ceremony was held outside and honestly requires the right designer to get it wedding ready. It fit in with our contemporary aesthetic but I can see other couples preferring something different for the ceremony. I could go on and on but will just add a few extras that helped our decision: 1) Centrally located for our guests with many nearby hotel accommodations, easy location to call for uber/lyft 2) Lots of parking for guests 3) Get the whole venue to yourself 4) Ability to serve asian banquet dinner (through Furiwa and 24 Carrots) 5) Confetti bomb...talk about GRAND entrance! I came here as a wedding guest last month, and this place is huge!!! This venue is a 2 story building. This venue is definitely a fantastic place to host big weddings, proms, quinceneras, etc. There is a place for cocktail hour with a full size bar, and when you enter in the main area as well. This venue also came complete with couches, bar chairs, and lounging areas both downstairs and upstairs. One day if I ever get married or host a big event, this is the place where I would like it to be! My favorite is probably the lighting, and the fact that AV Irvine was equipped with a large screen tv behind the stage where the bride and groom showed their childhood pictures, a slideshow of photobooth pictures, and cool music videos during dancing. This is definitely the place to host a lit event for sure. read more

I had my junior prom here, and it was AMAZING! It was by far my favorite and our schools best prom we've ever had! The organization and service were absolutely amazing. The main room had amazing lights that included (spot lights, lasers, strobe lights) our prom had confetti cannons and giant balloons. I would 100% recommend this venue and this service! A bit over 2 years ago I found AV online as a crime for my wedding. I did an in person tour with Lisa and immediately fell in love! I did check out a few more venues following but my heart was with AV.. my vision was with AV and nothing else compared!!! Due to COVID we had to put off our wedding and FINALLY had our wedding 6 days ago! IT WAS EVERYTHING I had pictured/visioned/wanted and more! The place is beautiful within itself so not much is needed! The balloon room is so much fun!! Adults of all ages were in there! EVERYTHING about this venue is perfect including the Staff... I emailed with Lisa off and on for literally 2 years and she always got back to be within minutes or by end of day, she made it all so easy. Leading up to the wedding we had a meeting with the engineer Gentleman who does all the lighting/sound etc and he knew what he was talking about, listened to us had brought our lighting vision to life! We had one hiccup with the decor(NOT DO TO AV) however Lisa and the engineers were on top of it. They are literally for their clients! As I mentioned before we had our wedding 6 days ago and people are still messaging me about how beautiful it was and amazing the venue is! Honestly during my own reception I was even telling a couple how they should wed there lol! If I could have every party here I would. I attended a wedding here last weekend with a co-worker whose date canceled last minute, lucky girl. First of all, I would never have a wedding here unless you want a busy street and traffic lights as your setting.  The venue location is terrible, but once you get inside it looks decent, although I wouldn't call it romantic, more like you are getting married in a club. The staff was not the friendliest, and made me feel like it was a burden to give me glass without a lipstick stain.  The food was ok, I'd recommend bringing your own catering company.  This is definitely not the best choice for a wedding venue. read more

I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about AV Irvine. We just got done hosting a 3 day business convention there for about 450 people, and I could not have picked a better space for us! From the initial booking until the moment we said our goodbyes, Chris & Liz were more than accommodating of every single one of our requests. They even stayed overnight to help give us more setup time, even though our original contract didn't put us in the venue until 7am. The production team was second to none, and helped ensure the execution of our event was absolutely flawless. Ron & his crew anticipated every last detail, and seemed to know what we needed before we even had to ask. The entire staff has a can-do attitude, and went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of in the best way possible. AV works closely with 24Carrots (catering), which was a huge benefit to us in that 24Carrots had a great relationship with the venue and the two companies seemed to coordinate effortlessly. AV also coordinated with Moonwood Coffee to provide specialty coffee services for our guests, which was a huge value add for our attendees. Though the venue itself has limited parking for an event of our size, Chris was able to expand the parking available to us and the parking lot has a huge drop off zone where we were able to drive in 4 charter busses full of guests easily. Their parking attendants made parking simple for everyone, and while many events of our size may find parking to be a nightmare situation, it went smoothly for us thanks to the help of the AV team. If you're planning any event, big or small, you seriously are not going to be able to find a better place, or a team more dedicated to client experience, than AV. They get a 10/10 from me, and I would highly recommend them to anyone, any day. read more

POST-WEDDING REVIEW **2016 Yelp 100 Challenge CA #15* WORDS CANNOT DO JUSTICE. They did an absolutely AMAZING job just making the day of my wedding FREAKEN GORGEOUS!!! we went in earlier the week to get the colors chosen and I couldn't figure out what to do.... But the head boss KRIS was the tech guy & boi he just HANDLED everything and made all the freaken LIGHTING gorgeous as he'll!!! Pin spots perfectly shining on each table and spot lights as well as making the freaken video of my husband & I come out gorgeously on the GIANT SCREEN!! On top of EVERYTHING they even took the time to make us a MONOGRAM logo using their AV sign because my husband mentioned that it would be awesome if the changed the AV to DN.... & LONG BEHOLD!! When we walked in to check everything out.... Their logo w/ our initials were right there on the giant screen! CHRIS the other Chris w/ a C the DIRECTOR was just EVERYWHERE!! he acted more as my event coordinator than my own coordinator!!! He was there to even make sure we had our GRAND entrance to our guests happen by taking us up through an elevator so that we can be announced coming down the stairs. He also made sure I had a drink in my hand the moment I walked into the venue so that my husband & I were calm & relaxed because I expressed to him how stressed & nervous I was prior to the date. People...... If you want DEDICATION. SERVICE. OVER THE TOP. QUALITY. LUXURY. this is the freaken place to have your wedding!!!!! I don't regret it one bit!!!! From lighting to even furniture that is luxurious that is provided is breathe taking. Even their own photo HALO BOOTH that they have was even so much fun that my guests were RAVING about it! Pictures don't do this place justice.... And I just can't even explain how much I am so grateful that they stepped up so much to go beyond what I had planned out & straight up showed me one up on my vision! I attended AV's grand opening event a couple years ago and have had the opportunity to be there a few times since. I'm always impressed with the design of the different spaces within the building. The look of the building (interior and exterior) and integrated sound, video and lighting technology very contemporary and cutting edge. The interior layout is very thoughtful and versatile. There is a big main room as well as several other smaller rooms and areas, which lends itself to a variety of events and easy foot traffic from one area to the next. We had our wedding at AV Irvine 10/7/17 and it was everything we could have ever asked for. Chris and Brittani were amazing to work with from beginning to end. Ron their tech guy also helped us immensely. The place was so big you could easily feel overwhelmed but it was just amazing for our 500 guests. We also got great feedback about the bartenders and how attentive and quick they were to accommodate. My prom here was AMAZING. The venue is so nice and the DJ that came with the place was so good. He really knew how to get the dance floor hyped up. We held an "unofficial" prom there last night for Canyon High School and I can't even begin to tell you how incredible the A/V Irvine location was, and more importantly how awesome Kris Plourde and his team were to work with! After having a different venue drop out last minute we had 18 days to create something nice for 400 kids. The evening ended up being EPIC! The state-of-the-art lights and sound, the outside space, the "Balloon Room", and all the food vendors were perfect. We were able to add on casino games and other upgrades along the way that made the prom experience really festive and memorable. As a business owner myself, the thing I really appreciated through the whole process what Kris himself. While he and his team were producing non-stop events throughout the entire month, he always made me feel like our event was the only one he was working on. He had great suggestions, fielded my questions, and provided great direction on what he thought would work best for our crowd of teens. He was 100% spot on. Capo High School had their 2016 Junior Senior Prom at AV this past weekend. A breath of fresh air, all night long. Big dance floor area, many cocktail tales, and lounge chairs. An upstairs lounge area and place to overlook the dance floor. Well air conditioned, so once off the dance floor, room enough to cool off and set your feet up for a bit. Shiny, clean, white, glass and metals, modern, spacious, very well spread out. A place for every activity, photos, face painting, coat check, food, and more, for everything going on at the Prom. Beautiful, well coordinated, plenty of parking, a perfect place! We had about 750 people, and there was room for that many more. Great venue for anything! read more
