Rehearsing while in beautiful settings..
Debbie F.

Just like out of a movie you drive down a long winding road to a hidden paradise. A country oasis with horses, pastures and a huge white house with all that screams..southern charm. Such a romantic atmosphere. The Wallace family of Clay Hill graciously invite you to their beautiful family home to have your Big Day events with their staff who are very know knowledgeable. From the rehearsal to the reception everything was seamless. The property is rusticly gorgeous. The bathrooms are so cute and the bridal and groom suites perfectly designed. The lighting at night changes the atmosphere to a fairytale setting and than..they light a huge bonfire you can stand around knowing the smell of that wood would remind us of this place..this time..and this beautiful event everytime we have one later. If you are looking for a paradise in the country that will produce great photos to throw a beautiful wedding, this is defiantly it. So worth the drive.

Beautiful property for Weddings. Two beautiful ponds, beautiful wildlife, and lots of space.read more

I was pretty stoked to check-out this location after reading Mark B.'s review and checking out…read moretheir website prior to my first visit here. I do not exaggerate when I tell you this place is storybook gorgeous. I mean it's probably one of the prettiest locations I've ever seen for a wedding (if not the most beautiful) and I've been to tons of weddings in my lifetime. This place even trumps Trump National in RPV even with the cascading views of the Pacific ocean. Perhaps it's because I'm a southern girl at heart or maybe the owners designed the property and the buildings specifically around the natural landscape you will find here. I probably should have asked as they were on-site making sure all of the structures were just perfect for a November wedding of a very dear friend of mine. Just...wow. Like Mark B. points out, the wedding ceremony usually takes place on a covered bridge and they have bench seating for all of the guests. If you look down you can see the water sparkling between the floorboards, but still feel confident the bridge will hold two to three hundred people [maybe more] without buckling. It's very solid and if you need to charge your phone, there are a few electrical outlets strategically placed on the walls towards the front and back of the bridge (and throughout the barn). The reception was held in their big red barn which features high ceilings, a commercial kitchen for catering, a spacious hall large enough for twenty round tables of ten (I would guess) plus enough room for the caterers, the DJ, the dance floor, the bar, a sitting area and whatever else you want for your special occasion with plenty of room to spare. Seriously. I have to mention that they offer a huge bridal suite complete with lighting, chairs and mirrors and an adjoining room for your bridal party to get their hair and make-up did (and for your friends to come visit prior to the ceremony) located towards the back of the barn. Super convenient. Overall, I loved the rustic feel of the place, yet it was so modern and meticulously maintained from the picturesque grounds to the adorable bathroom stalls located in the barn to the wood fenced parking area. In addition, the property had nicely paved roads that circled the pond area and well maintained paved sidewalks. And they laid plenty of gravel leading up to the barn so you never dirty your fancy new heels or freshly bought pedicure at any point during your visit. Asides from the great photo opps, there are so many other reasons to have your special event at The Keeler Property. And if you can just come here as a guest, definitely go and enjoy the wonderful environment. Don't forget to take a lot of pics...

I attended a wedding here in February. It was just the perfect location tucked away in Green Cove…read moreSprings! The decor was simplistic, rustic & quite beautiful. The property was incredibly picturesque. The owners, Jim and Pat Tucker, were very attentive and hands-on throughout the entire evening! The get-ready room for the bride & bridesmaids was far enough from the groom and groomsmen's room that each could go outside for fresh air and not worry about seeing the other before that magical moment. Both rooms were spacious and accomodated 10 -12 people comfortably! The outhouse - look bathroom most definitely solidified the "country" feel!!! The backdrop for the wedding was on the lawn in front of the main building. It was just the right amount of space for the small(ish) wedding I was at. I'm sure there is a larger space available for bigger weddings, as well. The dance floor under the poll barn was fairly small and was also used as the space for dinner. Quick clean-up and the dance floor was instantly enlarged but that left fewer places to sit & relax for those who didn't want to dance non-stop. Although it wasn't my wedding, I definitely enjoyed being in attendance. I'd definitely recommend Tucker's Farmhouse for small-medium weddings or any other event that they may be able to host.

As I pulled in to the front of the farm you can immediately see someone has a eye for decorating. It's rustic charm takes your breath away. Jim bidding me a big welcome as I turn in the gate. Jim and Pat Tucker have out done theirselves with hard work and lots of love here at Tuckers Farmhouse. This was the Christmas event and the spirit of christmas was felt in the music..the decor and even Santa had a good time. Their piece of heaven is shared with open arms to others to enjoy for their own event or as a event space. I left with a peaceful calm and my heart full, Some great Tucker made crafts and a big smile cause it was a..best day ever.

6th Ave North - A beautiful venue for a dream wedding

Lucas was nice when we went to view the venue. Once we placed our deposit things changed. He was…read morevery difficult to work with. He kept nickel and dime ing us. The day before the wedding he was setting up tables and refused to let us decorate in advanced while he was there setting up stating he needed to be compensated for his time (he already had to be there) he was drinking our liquor at our open bar and kept hitting on our bartender (who told us he made her uncomfortable)even though he had a wedding ring on. Advised me that we needed to pay extra money to use their sound/lighting equipment and out of 100+ weddings only one used the Their own equipment and lost the ability to play sound. Our DJ had all his own equipment and preferred to use his. He advised us against it citing their equipment was pre wired and was the only equipment that works (trying to charge us extra to use) I declined and our DJ had no issue whatsoever. Lucas is greedy and money hungry as he is the only one who sets up and cleans up the events. He acted like he had a team of people but no it's just him and you must pay him more money if you need the venue longer than 8 hours. It was extremely inconsiderate of Lucas to not allow us to drop off our decor the night before while he was setting up tables. We didn't ask him to help us unload anything just showed up asking to drop off decor and was told I would have to compensate him for his time there even though he was already there. He's nice up front until he gets your money and then changes.

Lucas was great to work with, professional, and offered some great ideas. Aaron, the sound engineer, was exactly what our rag-tag band needed and had us set up and sounding great in no time. There were approx 150 guests and we had plenty of room, parking worked out, the facility was clean and ready to go. I highly recommend 6th Ave North for any event and you won't be disappointed.

The beds were supposed to be queen but they were smaller than my queen at home. Plenty of cooking supplies, full size fridge is very nice. Really enjoyed the 11th Hour band on Saturday night, and bingo on Sunday night. A great place for families, if a little expensive. It's very clean, both inside the cabin and everyplace else. I suggest a rug or mat for the front door, it was pouring down rain when we checked in, we used a bedroom rug. So nice to have a place where pets are welcome. Thanks for a great time, we will be back. Ingrid Wright

Second and last time we will come to Island Oaks. The facility itself is nice and clean. However,…read morewe paid $170 a night last weekend 3/6-3/8 and will never go back. One of the main reasons we went was to enjoy the pool. On Friday night the pool and hot tub were full of unsupervised children. The hot tub clearly states 18 and older, yet nobody was out there to enforce this. Also stated kids should not be left at pool alone. Parents were inside at the bar while the kids ran crazy around the place. Saturday was much worse. We got to the pool around 11:00 am and all the chairs were taken up. Most just had a towel thrown on them. Then a large group came in and set their coolers right on the edge of the pool. They also had a very large speaker that they put on full blast with their own music. On top of that, they continued to pull drink after drink from the cooler. Later, they ate sandwiches and chips all while in the pool! At 2:00 pm another group came in and pulled out there large speaker and played on the other end of the pool. Now there was the two groups music plus the resort music playing. The second group also brought a dog in. Turns out both groups were not staying at the resort!!! They were there on day passes. They come in and stay all day and into the evening to watch the band. We were at the pool for four hours before we gave up. During that time, one guy who worked for the resort walked around and never said anything to these obnoxious groups that were obviously breaking the rules. Additionally, nobody came back to the chairs that just had towels lying on them! Other families left because of the swearing and a few mentioned the "F" words on people's hat and t-shirts as something they did not appreciate their kids seeing. It is a shame because this used to be a family friendly resort. Now, they allow the locals to come in and take it over. With the prices they charge for the sites, you should have to be staying there to enjoy the facilities. We will never book there again and ran into at least four other campers that said the same thing.
