I am a big sports card collector and this is my favorite sports card shop that I have ever been to. It is clear that the goal of the store isn't to make money but to have the customer be happy and try to get a special souvenir at a great price. They could be making so much more money off of sport cards and they know that but they keep it reasonable to keep you happy. Also, the two people who work their are great, kind people who I have had great conversations with every time I go to the store over the summer. This place is what makes Bar Harbor such a special place to me.

What's even crazier, is that during said events, you're never pressured to buy anything. How do they make a profit? I'm not sure either. But it seems like their business model is more along the lines of providing a space that makes people feel happy and welcome and then worrying about that finance stuff later. Seriously though, the place is super welcoming and patient with nerds of all types. Whether you're dipping your toes into nerd culture or want to dive in face first, they've had an answer and anecdote for nearly every geeky genre that has ever pique a nerd's interest. Highly recommend the D&D games though. They're super fun and very patient with beginner players and even welcome new walk-ins during the middle of campaigns.

The shop has a great selection of puzzles, from kids ones to basic ones to crazy weird ones, including some very expensive vintage wooden ones, but there is definitely something affordable for everyone. We wished we lived closer so we could give him more business. This place has many wonderful items inside of it. From rockets to simple crafts, there is bound to be something for the child with an imagination. I went with my sister and we kept finding more things we wanted to start building on with her son. And even some things we think we will do together as adults.
