Paul was extremely attentaive, gave us a quck estimate which was lower than the competition by a significant amount, and worked with us to have the fense installed in a timely manner. The materials were also of good quality. However, to have the top of the fence slope with the terrain, they left some rather large gaps at the bottom of the fence which I then had to address. They also use only a two run system (top and bottom) without having a middle runner. They really should specify that in the bid and contract. If we ever needed another fence, I'd consider using them again but would significantly tighten up the contract.

I ended up with the Board on Board design with the metal posts and screws. I also used them for staining. Scott and his crew were quick and efficient. I have dogs so it was extremely important to me that it get done quickly. About a month after the fence was done I started to notice that the stain was splotchy and just not holding up. There were also several cracked boards. During the time that the fence was installed and stained, it was raining A LOT. The day before they stained it rained and the day after. The rain basically washed it off in areas. I told Scott about the problem and he quickly took care of it! He came and replaced the cracked boards and re-stained the fence! Detail: We reviewed four companies in the Austin area for a fence extension and automated gate for security purposes. Absolute Fence & Gate were outstanding to work with: they came in cheaper than all other alternatives, were the most responsive with clear communication, and were very knowledgable about the options within our space. Amanda was extremely responsive and helped us scope out our initial ask to coordinate an onsite bid walk quickly and helped sort out billing. Travis helped develop our initial concept for a gate into an efficient, turn-key solution that would abide by local codes and fit within our budget. After clarifying our scope, the project was completed at a lightning pace. They staggered the required demo of our old fence until the day they'd be able to erect the fencing to minimize the amount of time our house was exposed to the street. The work crews were very professional and Travis and his team clearly explained the scope each day and progress updates. In addition, Cade and the gate operator crew were outstanding. They set up the motor and made sure all items were functional tested. They did a terrific job commissioning the equipment and explaining how to use it. Craig Jolicoeur was so responsive, thoughtful and meticulous that you'd think it was his own fence that was going up. He didn't waste my time like others did with endless and irrelevant questions. This rest of my deck is in good condition because it's covered and out of the elements. The area of the deck I want repaired is uncovered and exposed to the elements.
